Chapter 27: The Technogarnic Mutation
Airachnid's characteristic purple eyes opened, and she rose from the ground, feeling filled with energy. Her eyes went to her arms and noticed that they were different, a little thinner, as if they were more delicate.
She looked at her body, noticing how it accentuated her feminine beauty, as if she was somehow fragile, but she knew it wasn't that simple at first glance. When she stood up, she noticed that she was a little taller, probably a few inches taller because of her longer legs.
"What happened to my body?" Airachnid asked, looking back and seeing that her spider-like legs were longer and the tips looked like knives, so sharp they were perfect weapons for slicing and dismembering metal.
Her body was now covered in black armor with dark purple accents, where the sharpest, blade-like parts were covered in a golden layer that gave her an appearance of royalty and nobility, making her appearance more gothic than before, more dominant and attractive, without losing her deadly capabilities, as if her body were a dagger waiting to be drawn.
Airachnid looked around, only now realizing that she wasn't the only one who had undergone this transformation; the previously green forest now seemed to have undergone terraforming, or rather, cyberformation.
The trees were taller now, averaging 14 to 30 meters in height, with all aspects completely transformed into metal, especially their leaves, which looked like sharp blades, but most impressive of all was that the fruits of some trees resembled capsules of various transparent geometric shapes containing Energon supplied by an unknown source.
"By the Allspark... how is that possible?" Airachnid said aloud, amazed at the completely different place. She used her new legs to climb a tree with more ease and agility than usual, reaching the top and seeing miles of forest transformed into a Cybertronian environment.
Some birds flew in the sky, but unlike organic beings, they were now biomechanical, a few centimeters larger in wingspan, covered in a light metal alloy with organic feathers, so they could fly normally. But that wasn't as impressive as the titanic tree, more than 90 or 100 meters long, that stood in the center of the Cyberfortified Forest, the point where all the energy was concentrated.
"This is magnificent and beautiful, as if it were... Cybertron... before the war." Airachnid looked down, finally seeing the small human who had saved her, but thanks to the metamorphosis his body had undergone, she saw him as he should be seen.
Airachnid's eyes lit up as she saw Lux, seeing how a mystical energy surrounded him, a power too powerful and unfathomable to simply calculate, but she also noticed that most of the aura that should have been invisible was slowly disappearing, as if it was deliberately hiding its true origin and form.
"Wow... I feel like I've had over 40 beers and then slept for 3 days straight." I get up from the floor, feeling a little disoriented, my vision a little blurry.
Airachnid silently climbed down from the tree and approached incredibly stealthily for someone her size, crouching down to Lux's level so he could see her clearly.
I felt like I was being watched from behind, like some wild animal was stalking me. When I looked back, I couldn't help but catch a glimpse of the beautiful gothic woman who was watching me with interest. "Has anyone ever told you you're beautiful?"
"Counting today, that's twice, my little mystery pet." Airachnid grabbed Lux with her hand and brought him closer to her face. "You're nothing like I imagined, so why don't you tell me exactly what you are?"
I tried to hide my gaze from Airachnid, but in doing so, I saw her surroundings completely changed from their original form, and I realized what had really happened, something that practically exposed my true identity.
"Fucking hell!... I think I lost control of my powers." I admitted, noticing Airachnid waiting for answers. "Can you pretend that this didn't happen?"
"You can't lie to me, I see a bright aura in you, a feeling I can't ignore, what are you?" Airachnid demanded, but not aggressively, as if she knew that she shouldn't succumb to this side of herself, at least not with Lux.
"(Sigh) You should know by now..." I whispered, imagining that she suspected my true origin. "Every Cybertronian knows who I am."
"I want to hear it from your own mouth." Airachnid said, suspecting that the little human she had only known for a day was indeed something unbelievable or impossible to find.
Airachnid might be considered a mean and cruel person, but as a Cybertronian, she was proud of her race and her planet, even though the last few millennia had not been easy for anyone. This pride is shared by Autobots, Decepticons, or any other Cybertronian race or faction; everyone values where they belong, even if they are millions of light years away from home.
Love or loyalty to Cybertron is something completely embedded in their sparks, even if some may be skeptical of stories or legends of their planet, a legend in itself is real and its existence cannot be ignored or treated as a simple fantasy, for it was from it that everything had its beginning.
A cherished and never distorted consensus among all Cybertronians is the worship of the Giver of their lives, the One who started it all by giving them the ability to live, the energy to sustain their bodies, and free will. And even after his disappearance when he was ejected from the planet by Optimus Prime, the thread of hope for their return remained in each of them, and even if he was never found, their lives became one with the Allspark when they died.
"Okay, okay... that's what you might already suspect... an outburst like that should be enough to know who I am." I was worried, not knowing how she would react.
"Are you him?" Airachnid asked again, guessing Lux's identity. Her purple eyes couldn't hide the subconscious hope that she had finally found what all Cybertronians had been searching for so long.
"For the love of the cosmos, you already know I'm an Allspark, no need for drama." I decided to admit it, since there wasn't much of an escape now. Anyone with any sense would discover my true identity, and now my vacation was officially over.
Airachnid held Lux carefully, almost as if she were a fragile jewel, finally understanding why a human could pique her curiosity. But her mind had so many questions, so many things she wanted to understand.
"Allspark... I hold the Allspark." Airachnid whispered, every second understanding the weight of her words and their meaning.
"Please, it's nothing to be surprised about, can you put me down now?" I asked, because I didn't like being held like a toy.
Airachnid carefully set Lux on the ground, still trying to recover from the shock of reality. Just a few days ago, she was out on one of her classic hunts when she was suddenly attacked by an Autobot and badly injured, barely escaping with her life, and when she finally arrives on the planet where the main conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons takes place, the first thing she finds, or rather saves from a silent death, is the Allspark itself.
"How is that possible?" Airachnid asked, staring at Lux. She was still trying to understand the situation she was in. "Why are you in this form or why do you look like a...human?"
I looked at her a little surprised as her dominant and confident personality was gone. "I am more the vessel of the Allspark, to be exact, my mind is separated from the wisdom accumulated through generations, though I can access that knowledge as a memory, my personality and life experience as a human dominate my way of being."
"Container?" Airachnid asked, listening for understanding.
"Yes, but to simplify things, I am not the original vessel of Cybertron's Allspark, I am merely a human who carries the Allspark within my body. Due to my physiognomy and biology, it provides a layer of protection that makes it difficult to naturally perceive the Allspark energy within me." I approached Airachnid and sat down beside her to look at the new form of the local nature. "Not to mention that having the Allspark inside me becomes a great disguise, as long as I don't lose control of my powers and expose myself like now."
"So you were chosen by the Allspark?" Airachnid watched Lux with hidden admiration in her eyes.
"(Sigh) Not exactly, anyone could have taken my place, it was a matter of who got to him first. When he landed on this planet, his vessel eventually broke and his energy leaked out, but since his power cannot be lost or exhausted, with or without a vessel, his power would be as powerful as his original state." I couldn't help but remember that day when my life changed drastically. "When I approached him, he merged with me and changed my body to act as if I were the original vessel created by the original Primes. That way, the power of the Allspark did not get out of control and accidentally turn this planet into Cybertron 2.0.
"Wait, so how did the Decepticons or Autobots never notice the arrival of the Allspark on this planet?" Airachnid said, surprised at her own people's incompetence in not noticing the presence of the most powerful and important power artifact on Cybertron.
"For someone so beautiful, do you use little to your imagination." I stand up and see her face frowns slightly at my comment. "I'm the oldest human on this planet, my age completely exceeds the average life expectancy of my species, so I'm quite old, lucky for me the Allspark granted me extended youth, it would be strange for me to look like an old man without teeth, otherwise I would have cosplayed as Dumbledore already."
Airachnid thought for a moment, there was so much to assimilate in her mind, the possibilities that had opened up for her, probably the only person in the entire cosmos who knew exactly where and who the most important being on Cybertron was.
"It pleases me to know that the great Allspark finds me attractive." Airachnid teased, seeing Lux's reaction to her comment. "Well, what do we do now, Allspark?"
"We can start by saying that I don't want you to tell me who I am, and please call me Lux, I would like some discretion about myself." I crossed my arms, now more worried than ever about the future.
Airachnid smiled and grabbed Lux with her hand, applying a little pressure without actually hurting him. "Very well, my pet." She noticed Lux frown at the nickname.
"I told you, I don't belong to anyone." I responded, irritated that she seemed to have gotten used to the habit of picking me up like a toy.
"Now that I know who you are, you and I are going to be good friends." Airachnid teased in her characteristic teasing voice.
"I really hope I don't have to worry about you too much..." I trailed off, feeling an unpleasant, disgusting feeling approaching.
An unpleasant memory came to mind of a certain person who proclaimed the greatest war on Cybertron, the War of the Primes, a being as shrouded in darkness as Unicron. My mind saw a dark image, a being walking among the rubble, its eyes glowing purple, dragging a dead Prime by the neck as its brothers watched in disappointment.
Onyx Prime was without one of his large, imposing wings, watching the traitor with the only eye he had left, while Micronus Prime floated above the ground beside him in the lotus position with a serious look against the great threat, while heavy footsteps of a large transformer over 100 meters tall could be seen and heard approaching, wielding his two mystical swords, this was Nexus Prime.
A large cut of light crossed the ground like a razor that stopped the traitor's step, a devastating cut created by a Prime wielding a white sword that carried a mystical object in its hilt that amplified the weapon's potential, known as the sword of swords, the Star Saber, carried by Prima Prime, the leader of the Primes.
"This madness ends here!" Prima said, raising his most powerful sword with both hands.
"Is that all? If you want to have any chance of defeating me, you'll need all of our brothers"!" Megatronus said, giving a psychopathic smile while his eyes glowed under a purple aura familiar to all Primes. He threw Liege Maximo's body on the ground like a piece of shit, without any respect for his brother.
"We cannot allow him to reach the Allspark"! "Prima commanded, taking up the battle stance and letting the Star Saber shine impressively. "My Brothers, let's roll!" He said, activating his battle mask as the Leadership Matrix glowed imposingly.
Prima Prime rushed toward Megatronus, the legendary sword shining in his hands. Onyx Prime let out a roar of war, even exhausted and injured, he would fight like a beast, transforming into a giant dragon, showing once again why he was known as the Prime of Beasts. Micronus Prime flew alongside Onyx, coating his hands with his mystical power, followed by Cybertron's greatest combiner, Nexus Prime, with his two swords ready to crush and slice Megatronus, the fallen Prime.
My mind snapped back to reality with a vengeance, making me question the seconds I had been unconscious. "This can't be..." I start to feel an unpleasant chill, the chill of death, an unpleasant and disturbing sensation that I can't ignore or pretend not to feel.
"Lux, are you okay?" Airachnid asked confused, not understanding his lack of reaction.
"A Cataclysm fragment... how is that possible?" I couldn't help but feel an unpleasant agony rising inside of me. "It shouldn't exist in this universe, at least not anymore, Vector Prime made sure of that."
The Decepticon ship Nemesis appeared on the horizon, it was impossible not to recognize it, especially for Airachnid who knew very well who it belonged to. She felt a little frightened when she remembered Megatron, but her pride prevented her from acting cowardly, especially since the leader of the Decepticons might be dead.
"Airachnid, we need to get out of this forest as soon as possible." I warned quickly, feeling the sinking feeling as the Cybertronian ship approached.
"Well... I agree, I'm not interested in returning to the Decepticons." Airachnid extended her 6 extra limbs and used them as a support to move agilely, while holding Lux with one of her hands.
"Don't you think it would be a good time to use a vehicle mode?" I asked, wondering why she didn't just transform into a simple Cybertronian vehicle.
"I can't, since you changed my body, I feel like I don't have a vehicle form available to me, I'm limited to my natural abilities." Airachnid replied as if it were obvious, noticing that her speed was increased beyond normal. [It seems my new body has new secrets to discover,] she thought, understanding that the physical changes in her body were because of Lux when they both had that special moment. "But don't worry, I have an idea how to keep you safe."
