Transmigrated as the Fake Young Master, I’ll Beat up the Scumbags and Bitches

Chapter 220: No longer the same

“So, why have you become like this now?” Li Yue sat down, her expression calm as she looked at Han ShuYi.

Faced with Li Yue's change in demeanor, Han ShuYi was visibly uncomfortable.

After all, in the past, whenever Li Yue saw him, she would always appear timid, not daring to raise her voice.

But over the past while, Han ShuYi had no idea what she had experienced—her attitude toward him had clearly shifted.

“It’s HuMing! That’s right, HuMing—Han HuMing! He framed me!”

Upon hearing HuMing’s name, Li Yue’s eyes widened noticeably, her face showing a trace of disbelief.

After all, news of HuMing’s death had once spread across the entire city.

Moreover, HuMing’s death was inseparably tied to Lee Tian. Outsiders naturally didn’t know about the disgraceful happenings within the Lee family, so in their eyes, Li Yue was Lee Tian’s daughter, and she needed to atone for his sins.

These past days had not been easy for Li Yue.

At school, she was constantly bullied, subjected to disdainful looks. People mocked the mark on her face, as if she had returned to how things were in the beginning.

But this time, Li Yue was unfazed by their ridicule.

On one hand, she truly felt that HuMing’s death was connected to her. On the other hand, she had already grown accustomed to being laughed at.

Her initial confidence hadn’t disappeared, so when faced with rumors, she chose to ignore them.

A few months ago, Li Yue dropped out of school and found a job as a waitress at a nearby restaurant.

The owner had taken pity on her and decided to let her work there, providing a small income to help with living expenses.

What no one knew was that this job was her sole source of income.

Hearing that HuMing was alive, Li Yue’s first reaction was, of course, surprise.

But soon after, she breathed a sigh of relief, her entire demeanor visibly relaxing.

As for Han ShuYi’s accusations against HuMing, Li Yue didn’t comment much. She thought, HuMing once risked his life to save Han ShuYi, but now he’s being bitten back—what kind of person is Han ShuYi, really?

If HuMing had truly wanted to harm Han ShuYi, why would he wait until now?

Ultimately, the root of the matter was Han ShuYi’s own pettiness. Things had escalated to this point, and Han ShuYi couldn’t absolve himself of responsibility!

“Why would HuMing frame you? He saved your life. If he wanted to harm you, he could have done it long ago. Han ShuYi, don’t you see the flaws in your story?”

Li Yue’s words shocked Han ShuYi. The Li Yue who used to believe his every word had turned into someone he no longer recognized.

In the past, no matter what he said, Li Yue had always believed him.

He abruptly stood up, his tone growing urgent.

“Li Yue, you have to believe me! I never did such a thing! If it weren’t for HuMing framing me, how could I have ended up like this?!”

“Then what exactly did you do? Why don’t you even dare return home now? I don’t believe Han LiTian is someone who can’t distinguish right from wrong,” Li Yue said, her reasoning clear.

After all, the only reason she could stay here now was because of Han LiTian.

Normally, as a minor, she wouldn’t have been able to rent a place, but Han LiTian had vouched for her and even paid a year’s rent upfront. That’s how she ended up living here and finding a job.

She had once asked Han LiTian if he hated her, but he replied that the issues between the elders had nothing to do with her. Regarding the Lee family’s scandals, she was also uninformed, so he told her not to overthink it.

Because of this, Li Yue knew Han LiTian was a man of principle.

If he had done nothing wrong, why wouldn’t he dare return home? And from the looks of it, even his phone was gone—likely to keep his whereabouts hidden.

Whatever his reasons, it was clear he had done something that made returning home impossible.

Since her last visit to the Han family, where she saw Han ShuYi’s true colors, her perception of him had already shattered.

She wouldn’t believe Han ShuYi’s words so easily—or rather, she wouldn’t believe him at all.

For someone who only made empty promises, Li Yue had long seen through him.

“That’s because they’ve been blinded by HuMing! If not for HuMing, I would be in the Han family right now, enjoying everything that rightfully belongs to me. It’s HuMing who stole my life! Why should I suffer for him? It’s my life—it belongs to me! Why should that thief live so comfortably?!”

Han ShuYi’s emotions flared in an instant. At the thought of HuMing, he wished the man would die right before his eyes.

His family—who should have chosen to believe him—had ultimately sided with HuMing.

If HuMing hadn’t deceived them, how could he have been showered with care when he first returned home? Was it all fake?

Everything that belonged to him—he wouldn’t allow anyone to take it away!

Faced with Han ShuYi’s furious outburst, Li Yue remained unfazed.

Instead, she found it laughable. The once poised and composed “future heir of the Han family” now looked like a madman, roaring in front of her.

Li Yue couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Hearing her laugh, Han ShuYi froze, his crazed expression stiffening on his face.

He stared at Li Yue in astonishment, not understanding why she was laughing.

Given how miserable he was now, wasn’t she supposed to sympathize with him?

“Why are you laughing?”

“Me? laughing? Sorry, you must have seen something wrong.” Li Yue shook her head, her mood shifting as quickly as it came.

“Li Yue, do you not believe me either?”

“Han ShuYi, why should I believe you?”

Li Yue’s response was sharp. Her brows furrowed as she looked at Han ShuYi with a serious expression.

“I…”

“What? Back then, in school, I listened to everything you said. And in the end, what did I get? Your answer? This place? This situation I’m in now? Han ShuYi, do you think I’m still the same Li Yue as before?”

Li Yue’s words brought Han ShuYi crashing back to reality.

He stared blankly at the girl in front of him, at her unwavering gaze.

Not long ago, she didn’t even have the courage to lift her head and look at him.

And he had taken advantage of her obedience, using her repeatedly to spite HuMing.

Now, here she was, laying everything bare in front of him, forcing him to confront the truth.

In just a few short months, everything had changed.

HuMing was no longer the same HuMing. Li Yue was no longer the same Li Yue. Nothing around him was how he had imagined it to be.

Li Yue looked at the dazed Han ShuYi, and for a moment, her memory flashed back to the time before she and HuMing had fallen out.

Back then, she hadn’t chosen to listen to HuMing’s words either…
