Chapter 10: Chapter 10 - Summoned by the Gods
The battlefield was silent.
The Great Alliance lay in ruins. Corpses and shattered weapons covered the ground, a testament to Aric's overwhelming victory.
Yet, as he stood atop the remains of a Siege Titan, his status window flickered with an ominous message.
> [You have been acknowledged by the higher beings.]
[A new force has taken an interest in you.]
[The Gods have noticed your existence.]
Suddenly, the air shattered like glass.
A divine presence filled the sky, so powerful that even Aric, in his Abyssal Sovereign form, felt a crushing weight pressing down on him.
A golden rift split open above him, and from within, a figure of pure light emerged.
[System Announcement]
> [Player Aric Valen, you have been chosen for the Divine Trial.]
[Refusal is not an option.]
"What?!"
Before Aric could react, golden chains shot down from the rift, wrapping around his body.
The battlefield, his army, everything—vanished.

The Realm of the Gods
When Aric opened his eyes, he was no longer on the battlefield.
He stood in an endless white expanse, the sky swirling with galaxies and cosmic storms. Massive floating thrones surrounded him, each one occupied by a different divine being.
Some looked human, draped in radiant golden robes. Others were beasts, titanic dragons, celestial titans, and eldritch horrors whose very forms defied logic.
At the center sat the God of Trials, an ethereal being with countless shifting faces.
> "Mortal. You have stepped beyond your station."
His voice echoed across infinity.
> "You wield power that disrupts the balance. This trial will determine if you are worthy to continue… or if you shall be erased."
---
Trial of Divine Judgment
A massive golden arena formed around Aric, stretching infinitely in all directions.
> [Divine Trial Begins.]
[Trial Rules: You must survive against three divine challengers. If you lose, your existence will be erased.]
[Rewards: If you succeed, you will gain access to a hidden power… and the favor of the Gods.]
Aric grinned.
> "You think I'm afraid?"
> "Then bring it on."
The first challenger stepped forward.
A Celestial War God, standing over ten meters tall, his body covered in golden armor. His spear burned with divine energy, capable of erasing souls in a single strike.
> "I am your first opponent, mortal. Prepare yourself."
Aric cracked his knuckles, his abyssal aura flaring.
The Gods watched in silence.
Would this mortal prove his worth… or be crushed under divine judgment?
