Transmigrating as an Extra Third-Rate Villain

Chapter 339:Shopping [2]

Raising his wrist, Ren stared at himself in the reflection of the blood-red watch for a couple of seconds before confidently putting it down.

Shaking his head upon remembering the sheer price of the watch, Ren put it down before carefully maneuvering his way out of the table of mazes.

However...just as he was about to leave, one more table caught his eye.

Staring at the pure gold necklace dazzling under the glass of the table, Ren couldn't help but stop.

A couple of moments later, the pure gold chain was resting in Ren's palm while a familiar employee skipped away in joy while whistling a tune.

Holding the gold chain up, Ren quickly linked it together around his neck before exiting the glass table maze.

Ren had never liked buttoning the top button of a collared shirt as it always choked him, so the gold chain was perfect.

Since the top button was unbuttoned, the gold chain resting on his neck was actually visible and helped cover up his skin.

Finally finding a waiting room, the store's number one spending for the day stepped in and discarded his clothes.

Within a couple of seconds, Ren was already putting on his black blazer over a white collared shirt while gazing at the mirror.

Pulling up his sleeves, Ren lifted his right hand to his face so that the blood-red resting on his wrist covered both of his eyes.

With his left hand, Ren grabbed his golden chain and lifted it up to his chain, revealing it even more.

Sighing, Ren put down his watch and chain before muttering.

"I-i've made it!"

Now, he was a true third-rate villain.

For third-rate villains, power levels didn't matter a single bit.

All that mattered was money.

And, now, like a true third-rate villain, Ren had a ridiculously over-priced watch and a pure gold chain to flex his wealth.

Would it be an exaggeration for him to say that he felt happier now than when he had discovered the dragon's eye ability in the Hajin mountain range?

Shaking his head, Ren opened the changing room door and sat down on a nearby chair before pulling out his smartwatch.

Han and Jin probably weren't done yet, as knowing them, they had probably gotten sidetracked.

Leaning his face forward so that his golden was hanging down from his neck, Ren put in his wired earbuds and stared down at the beautiful tiling of the floor.

After a moment, he tapped a couple of buttons on his smartwatch, finally arriving at the messages app.

[Ren: Are you free today to talk about the winter ball?]

[Astrid: Yes, you do owe me.]

[Ren: Which one am I talking to again?]

[Astrid: ...there's only one of me right now. I dismissed the clone to conserve mana for the winter ball.]

[Ren: So, the boring one, got it.]

[Astrid: Meet me at the student council room after school...but beware, it might be a bit crowded.]

[Ren: Why is that?]

[Astid: I know it was you.]

[Ren: ..?]

[Astrid: Never mind, just come to the council office so we can talk about the winter ball.]

As Ren put down his smartwatch, he heard the sound of footsteps suddenly nearing him.

It can't be Jin or Han, as they would have texted him...

Wasn't everyone else in class?

"Ah...it's probably someone in my class, then."

Having second thoughts about splurging on the gold chain and blood-red watch, Ren reluctantly stood up, deciding to head to the meeting spot with Jin and Han early.

However, at that moment, a sudden figure appeared a couple of steps before him, standing in front of a couple of collared shirts.

Immediately, Ren's expression transformed as he caught the side of the familiar brown-haired figure.

Walking up to Zach, Ren silently watched him for a couple of seconds before finally tapping him on the shoulder.

Somewhat shocked, Zach frantically turned around with his fist clenched up until he finally saw Ren.

Grinning, Ren pointed at the shirt Zach was looking at before asking.

"Trying to impress someone? I can help if you need."

"..a-ah, no."

After muttering some intangible nonsense for a couple of seconds, Zach finally managed to form a coherent sentence as he replied.

"Liam and Kevin told me to try these collared shirts..."

Shaking his head, Ren pretended to facepalm before immediately responding.

"You really trust those two with fashion?"

Confused and surprised, Zach oddly stared at Ren before asking.

"You're better than them for that?"

Nodding his head, Ren pretended to stretch his hands upward, nonchalantly revealing the blood-red watch on his wrist.

Then, pulling the top of his collared shirt down to reveal his golden chain, Ren smiled and asked.

"Of course I am!"

In the book, Zach hadn't even been mentioned during the whole winterball arc, as the story had focused on Lily and Liam's relationship during that time.

Thus, Ren was quite curious to see how side characters like Zach would act when their actions weren't even written in the book.

Also, it had been a long time since he messed with Zach.

He had a lot of catching up to do!

Seeing Zach hesitate, internally deciding whether or not to go with him, Ren sighed and grabbed his collar.

"We're going."

Showing no resistance, Zach simply raised his hands, admitting defeat, and allowed himself to be dragged to the other side of the floor.

Zach had a huge frame and defined build, with a visible six-pack.

He used the massive and heavy battle axe, which required a lot of strength training, so a white collared shirt would perfectly illuminate his muscles and build.

Looking through the various white collared shirts, Ren finally found one that would be a loose fit for Zach.

"Hold this."

Like an attendant holding their master's cart, Zach carried the collared shirt in his palm, staring at Ren with an intrigued expression.

Then, a second later, the two boys were standing in front of the ties and blazer section.

"Try this one on."
