It isn't that surprising to learn that the other academy's are forming their own base. After all they manage to form their own so it will be no brainer that some students from the other academy would also be able to think of making their own base.

The only question here is what triggered their decision to make a base?, Because for them Shun and the rest regarded these as a safe point and one primary source of food with the waterfall and river and all. With that in mind it was only natural to set up a base here where food is abundant.

However despite knowing that, they have no reason to stop the other academy from making their own base. Of course Rosalyn and some of the students thought so too as they tried to talk it out with other reckless and anxious students who wants to attack the other academy while they were pre-occupied in making their base.

It was quite a commotion since both sides have differing views and idea, however the longer these conflict ensue, the more divided the people in the base are. With that in mind, Shun then quickly intercepted in between.

"Thats enough!"

"Shun! You know I'm right yeah? It's barbaric idea for us to attack the other academy's base while they are vulnerable, it's common courtesy... we already have a lot on our plate making sure this base is stable and well protected, if we go attack now, many of us would end up eliminated" said by Rosalyn

"Its a basic tactic of war, hit them while they are still down... if we let them be and watch them gather their strength, by the time we realize that they are a threat, it would be all too late" Said by the other student

"Then If we attack, can you make sure that all of us would come back intact?" Asked by Rosalyn

"I can't guarantee that, but sacrifices have to be made, that's just naive way of thinking" retorted by the student

Hearing both of them still bickering away, Shun then sigh in disappointment as he said.

"He's right Rosalyn, that is a naive way of thinking"

"What? Are you taking his side?" Asked by Rosalyn in surprise

"I knew it! I'm right" cheered by the other student

"Even though your right, that is also wrong in a sense" retorted by Shun

"Huh?"

"Look! I'm not on anyone's side okay? Both of your suggestions have pro's and con's and I understand where your coming from... it is true that we can't let the other base gather they're strength but how can you be sure that there is no powerhouse in the other base that your planning to target?"

Hearing that question, the other student was stunned for a bit as he doesn't know what to say.

"How about this, from what academy are the students you found making their base?"

"Um... I didn't really see they're badge..."

"Didn't really see? That's quite detrimental flaw in the field of war, we need information and accurate one at that in these times in order to not make a mistake" said by Shun

"....."

"Alright let see, let's think that the other academy making they're base are the students from Ascalon Academy, as you all know Lorius Ejinto is there and you all know full well his capabilities are... if we attack them now and they are indeed students from the Ascalon academy, I can assure you that most of us will be eliminated under one night"

"!!!"

"This is why we needed information, we can't just attack them blind, that's just reckless"

After that Shun turned to Rosalyn and said.

"But despite all i have said, that student is also somewhat right, we can't avoid confrontation and losses Rosalyn, asking him to ensure that all of us come back in tact is a tall order"

Hearing that Rosalyn was speechless for a bit, as she understood what Shun fully meant with his words.

With both sides being quelled by Shun, he then faced the other students in the base and call out his opinion.

"Let's all look in the bigger picture okay? It doesn't need to be us making the first move, we can just wait and see what will happen afterwards and retaliate if needed... we need to avoid making unnecessary loss as much as possible here, cause that will be the only way for us to survive until the last day"

"....."

"Plus we have our own problem here, as you all knew and understand there are creatures in the night targeting our base, they are vampires... since they're prey took refuge here, it's only natural that they will come here during the night and try to take us down to get to their prey... with that I need all of you to conserve your energy in case of emergency"

Hearing Shun's words, everyone then remembered the creatures that was watching the base from deep within the darkness of the forest during their night and easily understood where they are coming from.

From the vampires point of view, they are like herded sheep caged in one area in a silver platter. They are basically like a living buffet for them.

When they all thought about it now, Shun was absolutely right, there was no point on antagonizing the other base and tiring themselves out. After all they still have a problem in regards to vampires, if they want to survive the onslaught, the would need to have their stamina fully intact to fight against the vampires.

With that the conflict within the base died down as Shun manage to make everyone focus they're attention elsewhere. As long as they manage to take down the vampires, it will only need a matter of time before they can focus on other things such as the other bases.

Just like that as everyone aside from them focuses on making their base, the day passed by once more with no one dying on the 5th day. With that night came into the island as darkness enveloped the area.

However even though it's night already, the day wasn't over yet as the students from Gritonnia Academy faces an unprecedented threat, just like what Shun expected the huge army of vampires came back again with an intent to take down their base.

Due to that the alarm bell on the base resounded all over the area, as student begun equipping they're gear with the intent to face off the vampire army. Based on how many there are and how many tremors Shun could feel, Shun manage to count all of them until he lost track of counting. All in all they are numbered somewhere around a thousand.
