Tribulation of Myriad Races

Chapter 1226: Inside And Outside (1)

Chapter 1226: Inside And Outside (1)

Without a past, without a future.

The present Wan Tiansheng was the one and only Wan Tiansheng.

He was a ninth-stage Sunmoon. Not an Invincible, and not a Pseudo Invincible. Yet he was also in an incredibly unique state. He had no past and future, yet he constantly threaded the River of Time, remaining at his peak at all times.

He was as strong as he could have been in the past. He was also as strong as he could be in his future.

Such was the dao he walked. A dao nobody had walked before, and a dao nobody else could comprehend.

The traitor had appeared. It was only a future body, but this was enough. After losing this future body, the identity of the traitor would be exposed.

The human Invincibles were currently gathered in groups to protect the human Pseudo Invincibles who were attempting their dao affirmations. The moment one of them lost a future body, the other Invincibles in the group would be able to sense it. The only way the traitor could remain hidden was if the others in his group were also traitors.

Su Yu was also overjoyed to see this development.

Holy shit!

That damn traitor was finally here. Their hard work had finally paid off. No matter what, they had to get this future body killed. That would be enough to expose the identity of the traitor.

With a roar, Su Yu's aura surged further as death qi rippled out around him.

"Come on. Your granddaddy is going to kill all of you."

Su Yu was filled with the desire to do battle. Even if he couldn't kill all of them, he was determined to kill at least a few of them.

He was still receiving a constant supply of death qi, allowing him to fight without worrying about exhaustion. His supply would only end if the death sovereign ran out of death qi, which he thought unlikely to happen. He was only a Skysoar. The death sovereign would have no problem powering a puny Skysoar like him for a bit. He had full confidence in the powerful and amazing death sovereign.

"Die!"

With his strength and vibrate characters, he threw punch after punch. His breathing technique was constantly active, and each punch of his was thrown at full power with his abundant supply of death qi.

One punch, two punches, three punches...

Even with an immortal king adhered to his body, Dao Cheng's entire body was blasted apart in three punches. He escaped with only his sea of willpower before rebuilding his body in mere moments. That was the Flesh Regrow ability of the immortals.

Su Yu knew the same ability. He also knew that each recovery required a large amount of energy.

When Zhan Wushuang attacked with his spear, Su Yu allowed the spear to stab through him as he transformed into a gust of wind. The air around him burned as he reappeared to the side before throwing a punch, sending Zhan Wushuang flying while coughing blood.

He alone was fighting more than ten young geniuses. Almost every single Heaven Index genius fighting him had a super expert adhered to their body.

These super experts were immortal kings, devil kings, or even Pseudo Emperors. But none of them were here personally. Perhaps they were afraid of dying. Perhaps they didn't want to risk themselves. Or perhaps they simply couldn't come in person. That was none of Su Yu's concern.

He only knew that there was a price for everything. Since those super experts were powering these young geniuses from so far away, the price wouldn't be low.

It might seem like he was only fighting a few Sunmoons, but in reality, he alone was keeping over ten Invincibles occupied. A far higher level of power was required to keep powering these young geniuses from so far away.

Su Yu knew this from experience. For example, he knew that Death Sovereign Xing Yue was probably having a terrible time supporting his energy expenditure at the moment. He could only hope that things would remain peaceful in the Death Realm. Hopefully, nobody would walk over and kill dear lord, Xing Yue, while he was at this.

Nevertheless, Su Yu wasn't actually that worried. Even if Xing Yue somehow ended up dead, he would still have a large supply of death qi to draw from since he was a mayor.

Death qi wasn't something he lacked.

The city was taking death qi from the Death Realm itself. Most of the burden would be directed to the stone statue, who would direct the flow to him through the mayor's medallion. At worst, he would only suffer a slightly lower level of supply after Xing Yue's death.

As Su Yu attacked relentlessly, his surroundings became filled with death qi. A field of death formed around him. The other young geniuses, the human Sunmoons, and the myriad race Sunmoons were all staying as far away from him as they could. They didn't even dare to risk staying near him anymore.

The young geniuses fighting Su Yu seemed to work together well. Each time one of them was about to be killed, the others would arrive to help.

After some consideration, Su Yu decided to not kill them. But that decision pained him so much he was gnashing his teeth in indignance. Killing them would only free the Invincibles or Pseudo Emperors who were supplying these young geniuses with power. It was far better to keep these young geniuses alive to drain as much energy as he could from the Invincibles or Pseudo Emperors behind them. Ultimately, these young geniuses were here for the ruin and the Culture Tomb. They wouldn’t give up so easily.

Su Yu was deliberately pushing them nearer and nearer to the ruin. He was aiming to push them into the ruin to keep them from running and drain the experts behind them dry.

With the Culture Tomb so near, those Pseudo Emperors and Invincibles would probably not be willing to give up. Thus, they wouldn't stop supplying these young geniuses with power. The more Su Yu thought about this, the more impressed he was with himself. He alone was keeping more than ten Invincibles occupied.

Those Pseudo Invincibles attempting their dao affirmations in the Allheaven Battlefield should really thank him for this.

Because of him, the stone statues had destroyed the tri-life bodies of more than ten Invincibles.

Because of him, six Invincibles and one traitor Invincible had arrived in the Human Realm.

Because of him, more than ten young geniuses supported by Invincibles and Pseudo Emperors were here for the Culture Tomb.

He had to avoid killing these young geniuses. He had to keep those Invincibles and Pseudo Emperors hopeful. This wouldn't hurt him anyway so he didn't mind dragging it out.

And by approaching the ruin, the others would believe that he was targeting the Culture Tomb as well. That would cause them to be even more invested. After all, it was rumored that the Culture Tomb was related to the multiple character faction. Just look at how Hong Tan and the others had grown because of it.

In fact, more people were joining the battle to stop him from approaching the ruin.

Zhan Wushuang roared in fury, "Mo Duona, what are you doing?"

Mo Duona was still staying out of the fight. Was he so conceited that he believed himself the number one in existence? Did he believe that all this was beneath him? Was he finding it disgraceful to gang up on Su Yu with so many people? Was he a fool?

This was no longer a personal battle. The Culture Tomb was a matter involving even the various Emperors. It concerned the prosperity of their races. Most of the Heaven Index geniuses were already fighting, yet Mo Duona was still standing there. What was that fool thinking?

Mo Duona didn't even deign to give a reply.

Su Yu was quite surprised. Just what was Mo Duona doing?

It was likely that Mo Duona had a Pseudo Emperor adhered to his body. As the number one Heaven Genius capable of killing Sunmoons, he could be incredibly strong if he fought with the assistance of his Pseudo Emperor. Why was he not doing anything?

What was this dumb guy thinking? As for the fact that this would be a many-against-one fight, that was perfectly normal. Su Yu believed that he would do the same if given the opportunity as well. In fact, he loved ganging up on others. Unfortunately, he did not have the numbers to do so. Who would enjoy being ganged up on? Was Mo Duona so childishly idealistic?

Mo Duona said nothing. Nor was he doing anything. He merely watched in silence. Joining the fight?

Was he supposed to utilize the power of the Pseudo Emperor, allowing the Pseudo Emperor to alter the structure of his body and increase the affinity between his body and the Pseudo Emperor?

Mo Duona believed some of them knew what this signified. He naturally wasn't interested in letting that happen. He would remain himself. He wouldn't be the next Pseudo Emperor of the race. Nor was he interested. He would not make a move unless it was necessary. For now, he wanted to wait and see.

While the young geniuses were engaged in a bitter fight, a loud rumble rang out.

Powerful shockwaves swept out in all directions.

Rumble!

A number of experts who were not able to flee in time were instantly killed or injured heavily.

From the source of the explosion, half a golden mask crumbled down, revealing an exceptionally handsome face. The person wearing the mask coughed as blood dripped down the corner of his mouth.

While coughing, the Yellow Department head picked up a small rock from the ground before looking ahead of him. As he regarded the illusory body of the dragon king and the massive River of Time, he smiled, "Your past and future bodies are gone. Dragon King Bai Yue, do come here with your present body if you have the courage. I'll enjoy sending you to the afterlife."

The illusory dragon king on the River of Time was slowly fading away. Of his three bodies, he had lost two. The Yellow Department head was also here as a tri-life body. In a contest between fellow tri-life bodies, the department head had won decisively.

The dragon king was left with only his present body, who was still staying in the Dragon Realm. Would he really bring his present body over? What nonsense. As strong as the dragon king was, that would be the same as throwing his life away.

He was quite unwilling to accept this result.

As his illusory body dissipated, he asked indignantly, "Who are you? Xia Chen? Or someone else?"

Even after losing two bodies to this opponent, he still had no idea who this masked individual was.

Combat style, techniques, and characters were not enough to expose who this person was. Furthermore, this person must have hidden away for too many years. It was too difficult to determine his identity just from how he fought.
