Chapter 191: My Normal University Takes Off
"Mr. Chu, the guest has arrived."
In Emperor's Mansion Villa Number One, the figure of the middle-aged butler was erect and respectful.
Chu Mo, on the living room sofa, quickly typed a few characters on his phone screen and then hit send.
"Miss Shan Shan, I have matters to attend to, let's chat tonight."
On the other end of the phone was a girl who claimed to be Xu Shanshan, the roommate of Qiu Man. She had added him on WeChat yesterday and had been seeking opportunities to chat with him ever since. Chu Mo, out of respect for Qiu Man, was willing to make small talk with her.
But now he had urgent matters, so after greeting the other party, Chu Mo put away his phone.
He gently stood up from the sofa and then said:
"Let us go and welcome them together."
The butler Danny immediately responded respectfully.
The two of them walked out of the living room accompanied by several maids. Chu Mo stood at the entrance of the living room and then patiently waited.
It was not a long wait, as in less than a minute, amongst the spirited reception of four maids, the two guests strolled towards this place.
Chu Mo's face immediately lit up with a smile when he saw the white-haired Caucasian elder, and, taking large strides forward, he warmly went to meet him with a smile already on his face before he arrived:
"Mr. Frederick, welcome to our home."
As soon as Chu Mo finished speaking, he clasped hands with the elder in front of him.
The elder before him was high in years, around his late seventies or eighties. He sported a goatee, and although his hair was graying, his eyes were bright and lively. The equally enthusiastic elder spoke while shaking Chu Mo's hand:
"Mr. Chu, nice to meet you! We believe this partnership this time is sure to be very happy."
As soon as the elder had spoken, Liang Bing immediately translated:
"Mr. Chu, it's a pleasure to meet you. I believe our future cooperation will be very pleasant."
Chu Mo turned his gaze to Liang Bing, the superintendent of Tianxiang Garden's ninety-fifth floor and also the woman in charge of all the top scientists at the Longevity Club, her expression filled with an indescribable excitement.
"Please tell Mr. Frederick that I have full confidence in our research, I have full confidence in our team of scientists, and I am fully convinced that in the not-too-distant future, through the hard work and dedication of all of us, the whole of humanity will benefit."
Upon hearing this, the breathtakingly beautiful woman did not hesitate. Facing the elder, her voice was clear and melodious:
"We should be fully confident..."
Liang Bing, clad in a white strapless dress adorned with light pink lotuses, her slender waist cinched, her already graceful figure appeared even more elegant. Her waterfall-like long hair was coiled behind her head, and her eyes and brows carried a mature woman's allure—her whole being exuded a mature, dignified, intelligent, and generous temperament.
With the translation from the stunning woman, Chu Mo's gaze returned to the white-haired elder before him.
Frederick Alman, an American, Nobel Laureate in Medicine, he had discovered the role of viruses in certain cancers, making a milestone contribution to humanity's study of cancer.
And this man was to become a pillar for the scientific researchers of the Longevity Club. He would work with fifty of the world's most elite scientists to make an outstanding contribution to the study of human longevity.
...
After the initial pleasantries, Chu Mo said with a smile:
"Mr. Frederick, shall we head off? The youngest students in our Hua Country are eagerly waiting to hear your teachings."
Once Liang Bing had translated Chu Mo's words, the elder nodded with a smile.
At this point, Chu Mo turned to the butler at his side and instructed:
"Let's depart."
As he spoke, under the butler's direction, in a short while, a dozen of the top luxury cars, each worth millions, successively stopped before them.
Jiang Tao, the head of Haitao Detective Agency, opened the door to the Phantom for Chu Mo who slipped into the back seat. Liang Bing, in her sensuous strapless dress, also sat beside Chu Mo, while the Caucasian elder was accompanied by an assistant into a Bentley.
"To Normal University, let's go."
As Chu Mo gave the order, Jiang Tao in the front passenger seat grabbed the radio and issued the command. In a moment, led by the slow advance of the front royal car, a convoy of twelve luxury cars smoothly headed towards the gates of the Emperor Xuan Villas.
"Mr. Chu, currently Haitao Detective Agency owns ten Bentleys, ten Rolls-Royces, ten stretch Lincolns, and five Red Flags. We no longer need to borrow vehicles from others for missions. Do you want all the cars to be summoned?"
Jiang Tao, the tall man in the front passenger seat, asked respectfully as he turned his head slightly. Chu Mo, quietly sitting in the back, shook his head slightly and said in a calm voice:
Continue your adventure with My Virtual Library Empire
"There's no need to make such a show of force. Last time when Geng Pan, the heir of the Ross family, came, deploying dozens of cars nearly caused a stir in the entire Magic City. Unless it's something of great importance, we should not easily display such a large scale—it attracts unnecessary attention.
Moreover, this time I am just visiting my alma mater. In Magic City, Normal University can only be considered a third-tier school, far behind the likes of Ivy League and University of Science and Technology. If not for considering Mr. Frederick's safety, there's actually no need for such grandeur. Currently, our dozen or so cars are already making a sensational statement."
The tall man at the wheel respectfully nodded his head and then focused on the road ahead without further comment.
Three Red Flags led the way, followed by nine other cars in succession, driving out of the gates of Emperor Xuan Villas. After aligning their cars, the convoy of twelve luxury vehicles smoothly headed towards Normal University in Magic City.
All of a sudden, Chu Mo turned his gaze to Liang Bing beside him and spoke in a steady voice:
