Chapter 30: CH. 30: A Servant must fight against a Servant! Not a Magus!

As Gilgamesh pulls out his weapon, the surrounding space seemed to crack.

Like a fragile mirror… the whole space around him broke apart, even spanning right in front of Rokuro's face.

Rokuro felt his very soul (which he is right now because of the fact that this is not reality but a dream), scream in defiance.

He wanted so badly to get near to the fight so he can have a better view.

After all, he also wants to see his former glory, you know?

Yet, he couldn't. Even though the EA that Gilgamesh pulled out is just part of the dream, or memories to speak… the aura it gave is abysmal.

'Truly worthy of being a Divine Construct made from the very Essence of the energies surrounding the cosmos before the creation of the world…'

He gave his whole hearted remark about the "Sword" in Gilgamesh's hand.

But did it mean he is scared of that Divine Construct?

Well… Maybe?

'Sigh… Seeing these part of my previous life… I don't really know how to react to this thing…

Should I… should I really praise myself for achieving those things? Not to mention, I totally forgot what drove me to-'

[Hello there, Master.]

'Oh yeah, it has been a very, very long time since I heard those lovely voice of you.'

Rokuro said sarcastically.

Oh goodness me… Weren't you just talking with me about a minute ago? Heck! I even fear that a minute have passed!! And now… You are saying, "Hello" ? You must be kidding me.

That was literally in the mind of Rokuro. And did Athena heard it?

[Hehe… Yeah, you too. As expected of my Wonderful Master.]

Yes she did.

The two kept replying sarcastically and mocking each other.

While the events below them… It is starting getting intense.

"Hmph! Mongrel! Do you think I don't dare to punish you!? But, whatever. Let me say this to you… Magus, do you really think you are a Hero?"

Gilgamesh, holding his "Sword", asked.

Unlike the easily irritable Gilgamesh in Fate Zero, he is quite rational now.

He won't easily lose his rationality because of his Rage…

As those words reached Shisui's ears, he solemnly looked at the golden haired man.

Shiki, who is holding Nero, also anticipated his answer.

What will be the answer of Shin, would he be a hero, or not?

That question encircled in her mind.

Shisui opened his mouth to speak and said…

"I… am not that complex of a person. I… am neither a Hero, Savior, or anything like that. Never would I want to do something like that. I am not cut off to be someone like that.

I am not someone who can carry that burden. Saving Humanity? I don't care. All I care are those around me… While yes, I once strive to become a Hero, it is mostly just because of some Red Haired Guy I saw."

Shisui looked at his palm. Melancholy running through his heart.

In fact, he is even tearing up now.

"Shin…"

Shiki wanted to proceed and walk towards him but…

Shisui already stood up and wiped his tears off his eyes.

And he continued…

"Because, someone very precious to me once said…"

Then, a certain memory flooded over his mind…

There, a man is laying down in a hospital bed…

The man spoke to the boy around ten years old.

"My son, what do you want to do when you became an adult?"

The boy opened his mouth to speak, but…

"Don't give me that crap."

With no filter in his words, the man, the father of the child stopped the child from speaking.

If it was any other boy around his age, they might have cried right now, but… due to the lectures of the father, his worldview is not worst than some guy who came from the so called, white room…

The father's face then turned soft.

"My son. I, as your father, will give you my last lesson, remember these till the end of your life…

Heros and Villains… They are just a coin of the same side… Being a Hero will just broke you, the same can become with being a Villain…"

The father looked at his son and continued.

"Surely, you can understand what I am saying. You are different from all those children who acts their age."

Hearing those words, the son internally grumbled…

'It's your fault…'

The man looked at the child while raising an eyebrow, but decided to not probe anything and just continued on to his speech.

"Whatever. Let's go back to our topic. My son, you might think that what I am about to say is very stupid but… let me tell you this. There is no Good and Evil in this world.

On this world, only a fine line between these two exists. Mortals like us or specifically, us humans, are creatures of that line between these two…"

After that, he made a slight pause on his words.

He slowly looked at his son and saw that he is still looking at him with an unreadable expression.

He became satisfied and continued saying…

"As creatures of those lines, being Good and Evil is only normal for us… What? Don't tell me you think I am contradicting myself."

He looked at the young boy, to which the boy avoided his gaze…

"Haha… Stop thinking like that. Let me finish my speech first. Indeed, it might contradict at first sight but, let me state my reasons.

Supposedly, I did something. In the eyes of some people, it is righteous yet… on the eyes of the others it is horrible. So, what did I do? Am I a Hero? Or a Villain?"

The young boy thought carefully but… not a single word has come inside his head.

"Haha… It is very simple to be exact. I am both, yet neither. This is also why… almost all heroic persons in various mythologies died painfully. Same goes for the villains.

This is what makes the fine line between these two. Like how hate coincides love, good and evil also takes root on the same tree.

Good and evil… In the eyes of another, your act of heroism can become a villainous act That's why, I consider heroism a foolish behavior. But of course, if you want it that badly, I can't do anything about.

And one last thing, this is the thing you should remember the most… Only, only your true family would be by your side, even if you became a monster, only your love ones will accept you…

Hahaha… But of course, don't think that staying noncholant, someone without feelings or in other words, nihilism, is the key to cope with these various problems, or else… you might become a monster, incapable of feeling."

The memories in Shisui's mind faded as he finished saying some things…

Gilgamesh stared at the man with complete disdain in his eyes.

"Huh? Are you making me laugh? Seriously? Hahaha! Aren't that just cowardly act!?"

Shisui looked at the King of Heroes while raising his left eyebrow.

"How is that a cowardly act?"

Gilgamesh continued staring towards Shisui with disdainful eyes…

"Hmph! I really hate dealing with someone like you. Those who can't even understand something very easy."

Shisui just looked at the King of Heroes with a stoic expression.

"Hmph! Forget it."

Gilgamesh looked straight into Shisui's eyes and then said…

"Magus, I commend you for your bravery! But! This ends now! I'll make sure that even the goddess in Kur will never see you!"

Gilgamesh's mouth grinned and shouted…

"Feel the power of the one and only true King!"

"I shall perform this final blow as a parting gift to you!"

Slowly, the sword in Gilgamesh rotated.

"I will tell you of the beginning. Heaven and Earth split, nothingness praised creation, my Sword of Rupture cleave the world!"

As he pointed his sword to the sky, the world seems to revert back to initial form.

Before existence were even created…

Only plain gray can be seen all over…

He continued his chant…

When…

"Stop!!!"

"Mor-!"

"What?"

Gilgamesh looked at the man with a straight face. He is also looking quite annoyed right now.

Can't this man see that I am chanting? Can't you at least wait before I finish it!?

If any of Rokuro's incarnations heard this he would have said, "King of Goldies, are you going senile? Who the fuck in their right mind would wait for the enemy to finish preparing his attack? Surely, you know that, right?"

And of course, since he knew that almost all guys in Fate have to chant so that they can make their special attacks… he suddenly had a great idea.

To defeat them, there is only one thing to do…

Keep yapping so that their attention would be diverted to you and make them forget about their chant!!

With that in mind, Shisui started by saying…

"If I remember correctly, the holy grail war is supposed to be held by summoning the seven servant class and making them fight… right?"

The Earth slowly reverted back to the events that was occuring a while ago.

Gilgamesh raised his eyebrow and said…

"Yeah, so what of it?"

"Yahh…"

Shisui shaked his head.

This is one of the rare times that he becomes quite… stupid (putting aside his "Current" reincarnation, Rokuro, which is always acting quite stupid).

"It's just that… This is going all wrong. You should be fighting my Servant, not me."

"Hmph! I already be-!"

"Shush Shush Shush… Let me finish first…"

"Mongrel! How d-"

"Again, let me finish first…"

Gilgamesh wanted to speak again but… his whole body frozed when he saw the woman wearing a kimono.

His instinct said that, it is better to stay low for now, if not… even Hell might not be his final destination.

When Gilgamesh closed his mouth. Shisui smiled and clapped his hands and said…

"There we go. Okay, back to the topic. Yes, I admit, you managed to defeat Nero but… Do you really think that she is t-"

"Ow! Ouch! Ouch! What is this black mist! Master! I can't believe that you actually-! Oww!!!"

Shisui twitched his eyes but decided to ignore the voice.

In his mind, it might just be Nero doing her… usual things (he is just lost for words on how to put it).

'Seriously, just why did they wrote Nero like this? I mean, hello? Aren't you doing a bit too much on the personality? Like seriously, I even wonder how Hakuno can handle her. And Gudao of course…

Sigh… I should have really asked these two for advice when I saw them in my past life… Seriously, these two… being able to handle their own Nero, they should be able to give some advice, right?'

Rokuro lamented over his past experiences.

Sure, he managed to handle them in his second life.

But this time? He doesn't even have an ounce of confidence.

And why is his confidence degrading? Well… mostly all of his confidence came from his strength and his mostly stoic personality due to his Origin.

But now? Fuck it all, he doesn't have a single confidence. Maybe if Shiki is here… She can halp him? After all, it was mostly Shiki and Jeanne that is making sure thet the family stays harmonious…(even though at the start, Shiki is full of bloodlust towards the others)…

Back on the ground, Nero can be seen to be holding the Grail, yes the Grail. She snatched it after awakening. Of course, the man already knew it, but… he just let her off… He totally forgot about it… leading to some idiotic events to unfold…
