Twisted Wonderland: The New Student

Both Grim and Xinyi were taken aback by this sudden change, as Ace burst into laughter. It seemed like his whole aura had just changed from a completely sweet and trusting male to a mischievous liar. 

"I can't bear it anymore!" Ace continued to laugh as Grim growled and Xinyi tilted her head in confusion. "Aren't you the guys who went crazy at the entrance ceremony?" he turned to the girl. "You were summoned by the Dark Mirror, even though you can't use magic, and you, monster," he turned to Grim. "weren't called but still trespassed." the ginger sighed, catching his breath. "It took everything I had not to lose it at the ceremony."

Grim was flabbergasted. "Wha!? You're a rude one!" he yelled.

"And now you weren't allowed in and regulated to janitor? Hahaha, how lame." Ace continued causing Grim to wine. Xinyi just stared at him not sure how to react, she didn't exactly take offense to that but he didn't need to say it like that. "On top of that, you don't even know about the Great Seven. How ignorant can you be? I recommend you go back to kindergarten before coming to Night Raven College." he started laughing again, Grim growling at him angrily.

Xinyi had to hold onto the small beast so he wouldn't attack the boy."W-whoa…" she said as Grim struggled in their grip. "Ah… at this rate…"

Ace didn't take notice of her struggling and continued to gloat. "I thought I'd just mess with you a bit but you really blew my expectations away," he says leaning in close to grim. "Unlike you two, I actually have classes to attend. Keep this school squeaky clean, you two." he began to walk away, just as Grim escaped the girl's grip.

"This jerk! He's just gonna say that and leave! I'm pissed now!" with that began to blow fire in the gingers direction.

Xinyi only had a short time to react, but she managed to push the boy out of the way. The fire grazed her shoulder but didn't cause much damage.

Ace turned to her a bit annoyed before realising the fire on her arm. "Oh my! Watch out! What're you doing?" he yelled at Grim before helping her extinguish the blue flames.

"It's what you get for making fun of me! I'm gonna light up that fire head of yours!" The raccoon yells, blowing another blast at them.

The two dodged again, Ace analyzing the monster's words. "Fire head, huh?" He muttered, before smirking. "Huh… you've really got guts picking a fight with me. I'll turn you into a puffy, little toy poodle!"

Grim screamed, sending another blast towards the boy, Xinyi being too far from him to help. Ace only smiled, puking up what looked to be a pen from his jacket pocket. "Uh oh, gotta watch out. Take that!" Just then a blast of wind came from the small wound, sending the flames springing back. As well as Xinyi, being flown in a tree.

Grim was shocked but still too angry to care. "This guy is blowing wind all over the place! My fire gets all twisted up!" he growled again before rushing at his opponent. They went at each other for a while, other students noticing them as they fought.

"What's happening? A fight?"

"Yeah! Get 'em!"

Xinyi still clung to the tree, scared for her life. She could only watch as everything went down. 'There's even magic to control the wind.' she thought as she watched Ace, then released what the other classmates were saying. "Ah! D-don't e-egg them o-on!" she tried to say, but her voice was barely audible over the battle. A sudden cracking sound from the branch made her go silent.

"A Flimsy little fire like that won't hit me." Ace bragged as he dodged another hit.

Grim was getting more aggravated by the second. "What? You better be ready!" he said charging his next attack. "Eat this!" He blows a large amount of fire at the boy, in hopes of burning him.

Ace only smiles at the coming flames. "And I just change the trajectory with wind like… that!" A gust of wind causes the flames to bend around him but unfortunately, it hits other objects in the vicinity. One in particular was the Queen of Hearts Statue, which caused panic in the crowd.

It only takes a second for Ace to realize what happened. "Aaaaaah! Crap! The Queen of Hearts' statue is charred!" he yelled looking at the now blackened statue.

"It's cause you're blowing the fire around! Just let me fry you!" Grim yelled trying to do another attack.

Ace glares at the small monster, not amused. "You really think someone is just gonna let you fry them?" he states as he gets ready to fight again.

"Enough! Just what is going on here!" A sudden voice causes everyone to turn in the direction of the campus, a familiar man with a crow mask, running up to them. In that instant everyone started to run, not wanting to be caught by the overseer.

"Guh! Headmaster!" Ace exclaimed, shocked at the man's arrival.

Grim on the other hand was in panic. "He'd Gonna tie us up with the 'lash of love!' Get outta here!" He and Ace were about to run when a black whip swiftly wrapped around them, causing both to stop in their places.

Both groaned in pain, as they now kneeled on the stone in front of Crowley. "Hurts just as much the second day in a row!" Grim wined, tears of pain coming from his eyes.

Crowley was more than a little agitated by the situation. "This is my Lash of Love! It'll be another hundred years before you can outrun me!" he yelled, looking at Grim. "I told you just yesterday 'not to cause any trouble', didn't I? Then you go and char the statues of the Great Seven! I very much would like to see you expelled."

The ginger was more than shocked, the color draining from his face. "Wait! Not that!" he begged.

Crowley barely acknowledged him, looking at the monster. "And where is Xinyi? They were meant to supervise Grim, I will have to talk to them about it if this happens."

The girl barely had time to answer, getting out a word, when the branch snapped. A sudden thud on the ground to the right, caused the trio to look at the cause of the commotion. Xinyi was lying on her back groaning in pain as she started to move. The Headmast quickly rushed up to the girl, lifting her into a sitting position. "Are you alright? What were you doing up in that tree?" he asked, gently bringing her to the path.

She was a bit dazed and it took a bit to collect her words. "It… i-it was an a-accident…" she started taking a glance at Ace, before looking at the ground. "G-Grim, had b-blown f-fire at Ace so I-I had t-tried t-to stop them. A-Ace had d-defected it with h-his wind, but that blast pushed me i-into the t-tree." She was quiet for a moment, tears filling her eyes. "I-I'm sorry. I-I tried to stop them. I-I did, I-" She stopped as she felt a hand rubbing her back. She looked at the headmaster who just held her close, whispering to her gently to south her worries.

She shook slightly, but it faded as she calmed. Her actions remind Crowly of a scared child who did something wrong, not a teen who just fell from a tree. When she was fully calmed, she stood up letting go of the headmaster, her head hung in shame and guilt. Crowley sighed, tuning to the two still tied. "My goodness… You, what's your grade and name?" he asked the ginger as he looked away from the terrified girl.

"Ace Trappola, first year." the boy said looking down at the grown, not daring to look at the superior.

"Then Trappia, Grim, and Xinyi." the headmaster started looking at all three of them. "As punishment. I order the three of you to wash one hundred windows around campus!"

Grim and Ace looked at the man shocked, to say the least. "Nyaa? It's all cause of this joker was making fun of us!" Grim complained, glaring at his enemy.

"Ehh!? Me too?" Ace was still shocked by the situation, wondering how he was going to clean so many.

"Most definitely! After school, meet in the cafeteria. Understood?" Crowley clarified, looking at each one of them. Xinyi only nodded, picking up Grim once more accepting the punishment.

Ace looked away, not happy. "Fiiiine…" he exhaled, feeling no way out.

"Nothing but misery since yesterday!" the monster compiled as they made their way on campus, a day of cleaning awaited.

A lot of problems in the world would disappear if we talk to each other instead of about each other.
