Typemoon: Starting Out as the Lion King's Personal Knight

Chapter 289: Typemoon: Starting Out as the Lion King's Personal Knight [289]

Although the time spent interacting with Little Red Riding Hood was brief, Alaric still successfully connected to her magic circuits.

Over the years, aside from studying the Greater Grail system, Alaric had focused extensively on researching magical energy reserves and the fastest ways to obtain magical energy support.

Alaric was extremely greedy for magical energy resources. In addition to creating his magic energy blocks for storage, he primarily researched methods to extract magic from the Holy Grail.

The connection was a crucial step, but Alaric lacked sufficient knowledge of the Holy Grail system. Even though he had acquired numerous magical texts from the Matou family, he was still far from mastering them.

He had never been able to gain access to the Greater Grail's authority, preventing him from drawing upon the ley lines covered by it.

As a result, Alaric was unable to obtain magical energy support from the Greater Grail system and the ley lines. However, in his view, connecting to a human's magic circuits and magical artifacts was a much simpler task.

Especially after perceiving Little Red Riding Hood as a Grail-like magical energy furnace, the process became even easier.

In nearly the blink of an eye, he successfully connected to Little Red Riding Hood's magic circuits, receiving an enormous supply of magical energy in return.

This outcome was known only to Alaric and Little Red Riding Hood, resonating solely between them.

As the split-off half of Red Riding Hood, Little Red Riding Hood's magical energy circulation appeared to have hardly diminished at all. In Alaric's view, she could even be considered an infinite-circulating magical energy furnace.

In the distance, Iskandar, hearing Alaric's casual remarks and seeing the Holy Spear Rhongomyniad, burst into hearty laughter:

"Hahaha! So, you intend to challenge my great army, do you?"

"Rider!"

Standing beside him, Waver Velvet could hardly believe that his Servant, Iskandar, possessed a Noble Phantasm as forbidden as Reality Marble.

While amazed, Waver also began to worry about Iskandar's magical energy supply.

Just as Alaric had correctly surmised, Waver's talents as a Magus were exceedingly weak—most notably reflected in his limited magical energy, making it impossible for him to sustain Iskandar's consumption. If Kayneth or a magical energy furnace were supplying him instead, Iskandar would undoubtedly be able to unleash even greater power.

Despite years of diligent study, Waver had only accumulated theoretical knowledge. His actual magical ability, even after four years of growth, still could not compare to what Alaric had accomplished in mere days.

Magical energy consumption was one issue, but more importantly, Iskandar was the first Servant in this Holy Grail War to activate his Noble Phantasm.

Before him, the Noble Phantasms of Lancer and Berserker were passive Noble Phantasms—powerful, but in Waver's opinion, not nearly as overwhelming as a Reality Marble.

Moreover, Iskandar's army of tens of thousands was not something any single individual could withstand—

At least, that would be true under normal reasoning.

However, Waver Velvet knew that his classmate had long since exceeded his understanding and imagination.

Not only did Alaric possess absurdly overwhelming power, but his Noble Phantasms were also ridiculously strong.

The Holy Spear Rhongomyniad—the Anchor of the Star standing in Britain—stitched together the Inner Sea of the Planet, where Phantasmal Species dwelled, with the world of humanity.

The Holy Spear was a Pillar of Light that connected the surface and the reverse side of the world, fixing reality in place. It was said that if the spear were unsealed and pulled out, the very laws of reality would collapse, and ancient mythical phenomena long considered lost to history would re-emerge.

Even though its true power was restricted by the Thirteen Restraints, Rhongomyniad remained a spear shining with the light of the stars—a weapon of unparalleled might.

Based on Artoria's testimony, Waver and the others confirmed that the Holy Spear in Alaric's possession was indeed the real deal. However, its authority and functionality appeared to have some issues.

As the spear's original wielder, Artoria could provide the most precise judgment—at present, the Holy Spear could not release its full Noble Phantasm power.

The Thirteen Restraints imposed by the Knights of the Round Table were the key to transforming the Pillar of Light into a mere weapon. Alaric seemed unable to unseal and bypass the restraints.

This meant that large-scale firepower confrontations wouldn't be an issue.

Instead, Waver and the others only needed to concern themselves with the Gate of Holy Judgement and the possibility of Alaric possessing other powerful Noble Phantasms.

As a living modern human, unrecorded in any myths or legends, Alaric's strength rivaled the greatest of Heroic Spirits, yet he remained an absolute enigma.

Even with Waver's Eye of Discerning, he couldn't determine how many trump cards Alaric still had hidden.

Yet despite all this, Waver did not feel any fear.

Why?

Because four Heroic Spirits were standing together against Alaric—how could he possibly resist?

Holding his ground against a single Heroic Spirit was already an incredible feat.

But to take on four at once—how powerful would one have to be?

Still, Waver couldn't shake his curiosity about Alaric's words—

"Obtaining a magical energy source"—what did he mean?

Could it be that, despite Alaric's magical energy reserves, there was still some large-scale spell he couldn't activate?

At that moment, Diarmuid Ua Duibhne spoke up:

"Please be careful. The girl beside him is the magical energy furnace that my Lord Kayneth brought—she can provide an immense supply of magical power."

Even though Little Red Riding Hood had split once, Diarmuid's magical energy supply remained unchanged, still providing him with the same level of support as before.

Although he didn't fully understand why Alaric had seized the magical energy furnace, he believed it was necessary to share this critical information.

At these words, Artoria, Waver, and Iskandar all froze in surprise.

Waver, in disbelief, muttered:

"A magical energy furnace?"

At this moment, only a silver young girl remained by Alaric's side. Could that be Professor Kayneth's magic furnace?

Just as Waver was still astonished by this, Alaric in the distance finally made a move.

He did not attempt to unleash the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad. The aftereffects of forcibly releasing it last time in Mesopotamia were still troubling Alaric to this day.

This time, Alaric adopted the purest method of magical energy release.

Crackle!

Black auroras erupted explosively from Alaric as the origin, accompanied by his emotionless declaration:

"Heaven and Hell: the end of destruction."

Buzz!

The atmosphere roared, and countless black beams of light, moving at a speed beyond human comprehension, filled the world that had been constructed by Iskandar and his subordinates.

This technique, once used to annihilate the Lahmu swarms attacking Uruk and employed by the Red Dragon to create a thunderstorm spanning over ten kilometers, was now being recreated in this reality marble.

Absolute power—this was a convergence that surpassed all mysteries.

This was the ultimate release, far beyond the scale of the Gate of Judgement. Each beam of light carried the destructive power equivalent to genuine Anti-Army or Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasms!

"What?!"

Even if they realized it, no one could stop the countless beams from bursting forth. They could only watch helplessly as the world turned into a dazzling starry sky.
