Chapter 18: 18
Abyssal Troop
Chapter Text
"...I thought it was an emergency?"
"Yes, but they were so eager to study, so I just couldn't skip today's class."
Juny looked around at the fearfully shaking men and smiled.
"I can see, they look very happy that they could attend your potion lectures."
Although she practically flew here in alarm, Juny wasn't one to complain when faced with good humor.
Not too long ago, she felt her spirituality tremble.
As someone who's experienced it before, Juny immediately knew that someone has ripped the Find Enchantment.
She glanced up at the beautiful woman, who couldn't be over 160 centimeters in height.
Daimira's clothes were slightly dirty, but everything else seemed fine.
Because of that, Juny couldn't help but tilt her head.
"What happened."
Daimira returned the smile and looked down at her clothes.
"Hm. Guess what?"
Juny flinched away before activating her Material Vision and looking down.
She could see strange rays of unknown spirituality all over Daimira's body.
"You were... attacked?"
Daimira's smile widened enough to show her teeth.
"As expected, you've got very good intuition."
Juny deactivated her Material Vision and looked up at Daimira, waiting for her to continue.
"I wasn't just attacked, but they tried to abduct me as well."
Juny quickly frowned. She has already handled Human Trafficking before, but she had a bad premonition that this was different.
Daimira didn't say anything and silently waited for Juny's conclusion.
After a few seconds of thought, Juny spoke.
"Something with Sanguine? They assaulted you because you are a Sanguine?"
Daimira's eyes flashed with amusement.
"Exactly! How did you figure it out so fast? You're incredible!"
Juny shuddered, not expecting such a praise.
"It's natural... no? I mean, normal kidnappers wouldn't be able to touch you, not to mention leave any spirituality on you."
Daimira nodded.
"There were two Sequence 7s and one Sequence 6. That's as far as I could tell."
She was silent for a second before adding.
"They also didn't seem like novices. They had the Anti-Smell and everything. Even Sun Domain's artifact."
She then chuckled.
"Honestly, if not for the Spell Scrolls you forced me to carry, I wouldn't even be here."
Juny immediately nodded with a smirk.
"Now you know why I force you to carry them."
Daimira heaved a sigh before turning to the four bulky men who kept trembling.
"Lecture's over. Do whatever you want before the next lesson."
Her eyes then narrowed.
"Don't do anything illegal and do not tell anyone about this class."
She then looked away with a smile.
"And don't be late for my next lecture."
The four men jumped to their feet and politely exited the room.
Juny watched this with a pleased expression.
'I really like her.'
...
"Captain, we received another Sanguine missing report. This one was a believer of the Earth Mother."
Craider put his pen down and looked up.
"Where?"
Bedrich touched his Ashy-blond hair and answered.
"In the Tardel Division, East district."
Craider frowned before sighing.
"This is the fourth one this week... Anything else?"
Bedrich's hand flinched away from his hair.
"No, Sir. We only received a report and haven't found any clues. Like the previous times."
"Ugh."
Craider groaned, feeling a headache incoming.
He then stood up and brushed his asymmetrical golden hair.
"Let's have a look at the scene."
...
"Well? Anything?"
Juny couldn't help but shoot Daimira a glare.
"What do you think?!"
Daimira instantly raised her hands in defense and took a step back.
"Sorry, sorry. It's just that you've been at it the entire night... and, you know, you need sleep."
"Oh? Do I?"
Juny replied rhetorically before massaging the bridge of her nose.
"I got a lead, but nothing grand."
She looked down at the desk before her.
Many Spell Scrolls and Enchanted papers lay there.
She used much more of them, but they mostly dissolved after use.
Juny took a sip of her water before speaking her mind.
"Most of the leads move towards the noble's district... ugh."
Juny rubbed the bridge of her nose again, feeling a headache brewing.
'Another human- no, Sanguine trafficking noble... I hate this.'
She swiped the remaining papers back into her Pocket Dimension.
Juny then looked at Daimira and Lancer, who appeared beside her at some point.
"Let's go take a look, I will call Darmine for help."
Daimira hummed before flinching.
"Why does that cat's name sound so similar to mine?"
Juny stood up with a teasing smile.
"She was here first. If you don't like it, get yourself a new name."
As she walked out of the door, she gently patted the frowning Daimira's shoulder.
...
Staring down at the bronze mottled table, Juny suddenly felt the need to sigh.
The last few days have been both busy and extremely boring.
Her, Darmine, Daimira and Lancer were monitoring the streets around the East district.
This wouldn't be too bad if they were the only ones meticulously observing every corner.
'Those Fertility Order's Beyonders are a pain. Even if we get a lead, those guys just stick their noses into it! It's making my life so much more complicated!'
Juny was not surprised that the Church of the Earth Mother noticed the disappearances, but their surveillance was so tight, that Juny couldn't successfully follow most of the clues.
'Not to mention they're dumb! If they'd just let me near the clues, I would have already figured out who the mastermind behind this is!'
Thankfully, even with many barricades, Juny managed to find the exact nobles's street.
'Huff, now I just need to wait for Airina and madam Mailey to get me the list of nobles.'
Juny calmed her inner commentary and turned towards the Seat of Honor.
She saw the man surrounded by gray fog carefully shift his gaze while Miss Justice seemed to be pondering over something.
After a moment of silence, Miss Justice finally spoke.
"Honorable Mr. Fool, Mr. Hanged Man and Miss High Priestess, I have a question to ask."
Juny immediately sat up straight as she listened.
"What can a pet with Beyonder powers do for its owner? In other words, how useful is it?"
While everyone fell into silence, Juny breathed an audible sigh.
She didn't need any explanation to be sure, this girl fed her pet a Beyonder Potion.
Seeing that the attention was on her, Juny leaned back into her chair.
"That depends on what kind of Beyonder powers the pet has. Let's take a Beyonder of the Spectator Pathway as an example. An animal with Spectator abilities could help you observe or listen in on certain occasions."
Juny gently lifted and gestured with her hand.
"As you might know, most humans are wary of each other, but would never suspect that a pet will be eavesdropping on them, even if the pet was sitting right by their side. To be honest, the Spectator is one of the most useful Pathways for a Beyonder creature which is not human. As I stated previously, they are very likely to develop human speech."
Juny watched as Miss Justice's expression changed many times.
After a few seconds she nodded with a grateful expression.
"Thank you, Miss High Priestess."
Juny gave her a smile before turning towards the Seat of Honor.
"Mr. Fool, I have another two pages of Emperor Roselle's diary."
A while ago, Juny bought 15 pages with Shake's help and found another six inside of the Dimensional Space.
She decided to show three last time and two today. So she had another 16 pages she hasn't shown yet.
Miss Justice followed her lead.
"Mr. Fool, I found another page of Emperor Roselle's diary."
Mr. Fool turned to Miss Justice.
"Great, you have repaid what you owed."
He seemed to be in a good mood.
He also turned to Juny, who immediately spoke.
"I wish to put them on credit like last time, Mr. Fool."
Mr. Fool nodded, Juny saw a parchment and a pen appear before her.
As she and Miss Justice began writing down the symbols, Miss Justice spoke in a slightly embarrassed tone.
"I'm sorry, but there's not much content on this page of the diary."
"That doesn't affect my promise. Furthermore, the parts of the diary you handed me previously had two pages."
Mr. Fool spoke while raising his hand.
The four pieces of parchment paper appeared in his palm.
The place once again went silent as Mr. Fool began reading through the pages.
Juny silently observed and tapped the bronze table.
While Mr. Fool read, she slightly turned to Miss Justice.
To her surprise, their eyes met.
Juny used all of her mental strength not to flinch away.
Instead, it was Miss Justice who jumped slightly.
If the gray fog wasn't covering her face, Juny was sure it would be red with embarrassment.
After all, the Spectator was just caught staring.
Juny offered a knowing smile as Miss Justice quickly looked elsewhere.
'She must be trying to see through the fog. Honestly, I would too. I look and sound like a child, but my knowledge is not like that of one. She must be confused.'
Juny smirked inwardly while lifting her hand to touch her face.
There was no resistance, but Juny knew that the fog was surrounding her features.
She turned to Mr. Hanged Man.
He was staring straight forward, not daring to look anywhere.
'Overly cautious, much?'
Juny moved her gaze and went back to observing the bronze mottled table.
Soon, Juny saw Mr. Fool move his hand and the pages disappeared.
"You can start your discussion now."
Miss Justice let out a breath of relief before smiling faintly.
"I'd like to know if there are any Sequence potions named Tribunal, or a kind of Beyonder that can go through wooden doors or make locks ineffective?"
Juny immediately locked eyes with Mr. Hanged Man.
She raised her palm and gestured towards Miss Justice.
Mr. Hanged Man turned to Miss Justice and answered.
"I need you to help me investigate something in return for the answer."
"What is it?"
Miss Justice asked in both interest and puzzlement.
Mr. Hanged man glanced at Mr. Fool.
"I'd like to know if the King has the intention of taking revenge on the Feysac Empire and launching a new war on the East coast of Balam within this year or before June of next year."
'Ugh, politics.'
Juny skillfully held her distaste back.
She then saw Miss Justice nod confidently.
"No problem, but I would need sufficient time to be certain."
"I can wait."
Mr. Hanged Man spoke with a smile.
"With Mr. Fool as a witness, I believe you wouldn't go back on your promise."
Miss Justice smiled.
"But I think the value of this information is worth more than both questions put together."
"When you confirm the answer, I'll provide compensation depending on the situation."
Mr. Hanged Man spoke as if he had prepared an answer beforehand.
Juny suppressed the need to nod in satisfaction at Miss Justice's negotiations.
'Drinking that Potion has served you well, Miss Justice.'
Miss Justice spoke as if she had just thought of something.
"Oh right, Mr. Hanged Man, did you receive the one thousand pounds?"
"I'm sorry, I'm still sailing. I have yet to return to land."
Mr. Hanged Man quickly changed the subject and answered Miss Justice's previous questions.
"The Beyonder that can go through wooden doors and foil locks would probably be Sequence 9 Apprentice. The secret organization, Theosophy Order, has its formula. However, don't ignore the possibility that it was obtained through other channels, such as an ancient tomb of the Fourth Epoch."
Juny nodded before adding to Mr. Hanged Man's statement.
"The Abraham family is also in hold of the Apprentice Pathway."
Hearing this, Miss Justice couldn't help but sigh.
"If I had found the formula for Apprentice before, I might not have opted for Spectator."
Mr. Hanged Man didn't bother with Miss Justice's remark while Juny simply shrugged.
"There is also a Sequence potion that is entitled Arbiter."
Mr. Hanged Man continued his explanation.
"I think you should be familiar with it, because it is the Sequence pathway that the Augustus and Feynapotter Kingdom's Castiya family has."
Juny sighed inwardly.
'That's right... Degster will have it hard, but I'll support his Advancement.'
She felt determined while listening to Mr. Hanged Man in the background.
"Of course, the Low Sequence formulas were used as rewards in ancient times. Some nobles might have received it before. The Arbiter has a convincing charm and considerable authority, as well as outstanding combat ability that can deal with the unexpected."
Juny thought that it was a bit exaggerated, but stayed silent.
Miss Justice leaned backwards and nodded.
"I have no more questions."
Hearing this, Mr. Hanged Man looked towards the Seat of Honor.
"Honorable Mr. Fool, I'd like to ask if the True Creator's Holy Residence that the Aurora Order advocates is the legendary Forsaken Land of the Gods?"Juny was stumped as her head whipped to look at Mr. Fool.
'There's no way he would know! Well... except if he also has a secret library.'
Juny was expectant.
Mr. Fool spoke in a calm tone.
"This is not something you should know now."
'Ah. He doesn't have a clue.'
Juny felt slightly disappointed while Mr. Hanged Man lowered his head.
"Please forgive me for overstepping my boundaries."
Juny silently clicked her tongue and raised her hand.
Seeing this, Mr. Hanged Man turned to her.
"I know something about that, would you like to buy the information?"
'Can't just go around giving information for free.'
Juny steadied herself while Mr. Hanged Man cautiously glanced as Mr. Fool.
Seeing no sign of discouragement, Mr. Hanged Man looked at Juny.
"What do you wish in return?"
Juny nodded and spoke with clear voice.
"I have wast knowledge, but my intelligence about the current happenings on the sea is limited. I wish for a summary of the most important events and facts."
Mr. Hanged Man slightly relaxed upon realizing that it was something in his power.
"That's fine. Would you like to do the exchange privately?"
Juny turned to look at Miss Justice before shaking her head.
"I don't mind, what about you, Mr. Hanged Man?"
Mr. Hanged Man nodded.
"I have no problem with this either. How do we weigh the importance of the information?"
Juny answered without missing a beat.
"I'll tell you what I know about the True Creator's Holy Residence and you tell me whatever you think is enough for that. The sea is wast and so is the information. I don't expect to get it all in one setting."
As Mr. Hanged Man seemed pleased, Juny asked before starting.
"How much do you know about the Forsaken Land of the Gods?"
Mr. Hanged Man was silent for a few seconds before replying.
"Just the most basic."
Juny nodded.
"The Forsaken Land of the Gods is said to be somewhere on the unknown Eastern continent. It disappeared after the fall of the Ancient Sun God somewhere at the end of the Second Epoch."
Seeing Mr. Hanged Man fall into thought, Juny continued.
"As you might know, the True Creator appeared sometime then. Which is why the Aurora Order seems confident that 'His' Holy Residence is there. There are some texts stating that the True Creator is guarding or overseeing the Land where the Ancient Sun God perished. That's why his Holy Residence is there. Meaning that the Forsaken Land of the Gods is not equivalent to the True Creator's Holy Residence, but 'His' Holy Residence is somewhere in the Forsaken Land of the Gods."
Juny stopped and observed Mr. Hanged Man's thoughtful expression.
After about 10 seconds, Mr. Hanged Man looked up.
"Thank you, Miss High Priestess. I'll now tell you about the sea."
Juny nodded and listened intently to the explanation.
By the end, Juny felt bad. Thinking that Mr. Hanged Man might actually lose his voice because of the long explanation.
As he finally stopped, Juny nodded with a satisfied look.
"Thank you, Mr. Hanged Man. I'm satisfied."
Mr. Hanged Man spared her a nod.
Seeing the exchange come to an end, Miss Justice turned to Mr. Fool.
"Mr. Fool, if- and I'm saying if- I have the opportunity to join another organization, such as the Psychology Alchemists, is it permitted?"
Juny jumped at this.
'I sure hope so! Can you imagine if not? You're talking to an organization's boss!'
Amidst Juny's thoughts, Mr. Fool leaned back.
"That is no problem. My requirement is that the existence of the Tarot Club is not to be exposed. If you become a member of another organization, the materials and information you can use for exchange will also increase."
"I understand now."
Miss Justice seemed excited as she immediately asked another question.
"Mr. Fool, if I found a suitable gentleman or lady for this gathering, could I guide them to join? How do I do that?"
Hearing Miss Justice, Mr. Hanged Man asked.
"Mr. Fool, what are the requirements to be a member of this gathering? How do we determine?"
Mr. Fool was silent for a few seconds.
"You can inform me of people who you find suitable. I will decide if they will join us. Before that, you can't give any hints that would cause the secret of the Tarot Club's existence to be exposed. You must remember, to non-Gathering members..."
Mr. Fool paused before speaking in a heavy voice.
"...You must not speak my name without my permission."
Juny almost shuddered.
'Wow... My guy, you're a top tier actor for real... Were you a celebrity before? Do I need to ask for your autograph? I have goosebumps!'
The place fell into silence while Juny inwardly praised the Sequence 9 Actor before her.
Strangely enough, the rest of the gathering was very sluggish and soon came to an end.
Immediately, as soon as Juny appeared back before her own study desk, she frowned.
'Back to warking I go.'
She stood up and stretched, looking at the clock.
The break she asked for was almost at its end and she hasn't even eaten yet.
"Ugh."
With an empty stomach, Juny walked down the stairs and grabbed an apple.
Then, like a zombie, she ripped a Spell Scroll and her figure turned transparent before disappearing.
Once the surrounding colors returned to normal, Juny looked around.
She teleported straight into Airana's mansion as she previously planned.
Having been introduced before, she walked the halls without trouble or any serious attention from the servants.
Soon, she stopped before a larger door at the end of a hall.
Juny gently knocked before hearing a resounding voice.
"You may enter."
Juny saw the two guards opening the door for her. She stepped inside.
Seeing her, madam Mailey rose from her seat while Airina placed her left hand on her chest and her other hand on her back.
Juny felt strange considering the atmosphere, but she didn't mention it.
As the door clicked closed behind her, the room immediately became Isolated.
Juny smiled.
"Good afternoon, Madam Mailey, Airina."
Juny then looked at the Butler whom she was sure was a Spectator.
"Mr. Butler."
The butler, Theor, slightly bowed his head.
Juny walked over to the couch and sat opposite Airina.
Seeing this, both Airina and madam Mailey sat back down.
Airina returned Juny's greeting first.
"Hello, Juny."
Madam Mailey glanced at her daughter before also offering a greeting.
"Good Afternoon, Miss Juny."
Juny did her best not to retort as she knew that madam Mailey was very set on using formalities.
She was one of the few people Juny didn't mind addressing her formally.
Without waiting for it to be mentioned, madam Mailey pulled out a stack of documents.
Theor, as a butler, walked over and took the documents.
He then politely handed them to Juny.
Juny gracefully accepted them and began skimming through.
While doing so, she heard Airina speak.
"As you asked, we first checked who lived on the Lam Street. There are mostly Barons's or Viscounts's mansions in that area."
Juny nodded.
She was glad that it wouldn't be another Count situation. Although dealing with nobles in general was troublesome.
At this point, the butler, Theor, took over.
"Among the mentioned nobles was a Viscount by the name Ricker Buttery."
Juny nodded while stopping at the related document.
"He has been acting strange according to your mentioned standards. He stopped moving during the day and keeps his Church visits at a minimum. He still donates similar sums, but it is questionable as he stopped having any further interactions with the priests."
"He has also mentioned unusual statements or comments. He often compliments the moon and its beauty."
Juyn used her all of her willpower not to groan.
'The moon... The moon! For f*ck's sake. It's the Primordial Moon!'
Juny immediately connected the missing dots and continued her reading.
"He was also seen interacting with unknown or unidentified people as well as carrying around strange objects."
Juny sighed before nodding.
"I'll inform Darmine to tighten her observation on the Viscount."
She placed the papers down before leaning back into her seat.
Staring at the ceiling, Juny fell into thought.
'Pure-blooded Sanguine are being abducted... kidnapping... belief in an Evil God... the Primordial Moon... Sanguine...'
Juny frowned.
'It can't be, right? Not again, right?'
Juny immediately remembered the strange cursed artifact she took from Mariel.
'That thing makes you believe in an Evil God... which Evil God is it? ...no matter how much I think about it, it has to be them. The Rosary Road... I hate my life.'
Juny sighed before slowly standing up.
She then turned to madam Mailey and spoke politely.
"Madam Mailey, please continue with your observations. But do not directly inquire about anything, it would be dangerous."
"I shall do so."
Madam Mailey nodded at Juny's words.
Juny offered a smile before turning around and bidding farewell.
As soon as she opened the door, the Isolation dispersed.
Juny, feeling a headache, made her way back into an empty room before ripping a Spell Scroll.
...
Amidst the distant laughter and creams, an older man in an expensive outfit walked through the alleys.
Soon he stopped.
His red eyes scanned the alley before opening a door and entering.
His lips twitched as he saw a group of people staring at him from below the stairs.
Whilst walking down, the older man bowed his head.
"Praise the Moon!"
He spoke in a deep voice, allowing his excitement to be revealed.
The three men acted similarly.
"Praise the Moon!"
The middle one then pointed to his side.
Following the direction, the older man saw another three people tied and locked in a cage.
They were of different ages and genders, but they all had blood red irises and overall beautiful looks.
The older man nodded in satisfaction before turning back to the three men.
"The transportation carriage is two streets away."
"Good."
The middle man spoke before signaling towards the cage.
The other two grabbed a large cloth and spread it evenly around the cage.
Then, with seemingly no effort, they grabbed the covered cage and lifted it, walking towards the stairs.
The older man followed while the middle man froze.
His head whipped to the side.
There, on the counter, a short-furred black cat sat, watching him with deep golden eyes.
For some reason, the man felt shivers from that gaze.
As if on instinct, the man hastened his footsteps as he left the underground chamber.
As the door shut closed, the cat's eyes narrowed.
Darmine clicked her tongue before jumping down the counter and walking towards the door.
She then used her paw to pull a piece of paper out of her small bag on her waist.
It was a Spell Scroll and a special bag from Juny.
Darmine bit on the Spell Scroll and tore it.
She then moved and walked through the locked door as if it didn't exist.
With great speed, Darmine followed the four men with the covered cage.
She was doing a good job following the Viscount so far.
After all, who would suspect a cat?
...
Craider couldn't help but sigh.
They've been monitoring the Eastern district for days, but the abductions haven't decreased, not to mention stop.
Thinking about it, it was strange.
Once, Craider secretly followed a wandering Sanguine, but noone attacked.
The Sanguine seemed to sense that he was being followed, and soon shook Craider off.
But when Craider tried to find him, he couldn't.
And the next day, he heard a missing person report about that exact Sanguine. And the next day, he heard a missing person report about that exact Sanguine.
Craider watched the different people come and go, it was a normal day for them.
This continued for hours on end, until the night fell.
Once again, Craider began his patrol.
Sanguines weren't as rare as people thought, but identifying a Sanguine was troubling.
The instance where Craider saw and could follow a Sanguine was very rare.
What he was patrolling for was fighting of any kind.
But like every night, the streets were calm.
Actually... they were too calm.
Feeling something strange, Craider unknowingly tensed.
He reached down, slightly opening the bag on his waist.
Only seconds after, a heavy sound rang throughout the alleys.
A scream immediately followed.
That was Craider's cue, as he rushed forward.
He turned a corner and a scene entered his eyes.
Five figures either stood or laid on the ground.
The four standing men gathered around the lying woman, cuffs in hand.
Technically thinking, there was no reason for Craider to pick a fight with four Beyonders alone.
But his own unease got the better of him.
Especially now, that the four men saw him, leaving would probably mean not getting the chance to catch them again.
With hazed mind, Craider raised his revolver and took aim, shooting at the closest man.
Then, he immediately reached into the bag on his waist and threw out the seeds inside.
The closest man, dodged the bullet with great speed as he turned around to look at Craider.
He had red eyes with light-brown hair.
Behind him were two other men with red eyes. One had short, black hair and the other long, red hair tied in a ponytail.
The last man had green eyes with black hair.
The green-eyed man quickly pulled out a metal sphere and threw it towards Craider.
The man with red tied-up hair moved his hand under his coat, pulling out a potion bottle.
The seeds Craider threw out burst and spread, catching the metal sphere and moving to attack the man with light-brown hair.
The man with black hair reacted and took hold of the woman lying on the ground, throwing her further away from Craider.
The light-brown haired man dodged the plants and roots.
He jumped to the side as his nails turned long and sharp, corrosive symbols appearing on their tips.
Before he could move towards Craiter, a gunshot sounded from somewhere.
He instinctively moved to the side as his head looked up.
He locked eyes with an Ashy-blonde haired man holding a gun.
The man with pinkish-red eyes, Bedrich, jumped down, his nails also turning long.
Craider looked forward and his heart sank.
The man with red tied-up hair disappeared at some point.
With gritted teeth, he pointed his gun at the green-eyed man, who has already pulled out his own revolver.
The man with short black hair stood by the unconscious woman, cuffing and tying her limbs.
Craider redirected his attention toward the green-eyed man as he controlled the roots and sprouts.
He and the green-eyed man pulled the trigger.
Two gunshots sounded.
Craider caught the incoming bullet with the firm root, but he felt that something was wrong.
He felt as if the plants weren't as firm as they should.
One of the roots burst upon making contact with the bullet.
'It shouldn't be that weak.'
With that thought, Craider saw the green-eyed man easily dodge the bullet before moving to the side.
Craider was about to take aim when his spiritual intuition stirred.
It was too fast for him to react.
From the corner of his eye, Craider saw the shadow boil and stir, as if something was trying to come out of it.
At the same time, his own shadow reached out and firmly grasped his legs.
With great difficulty, Craider watched as an unbelievably fast claw made its way to his neck.
It was then that a delicate hand with a lace glove and similarly long nails grabbed the man's wrist.
It all happened with unbelievable speed.
The gloved hand yanked the man with red tied-up hair to the side while spraying a holy looking liquid his way.
After, a figure stood with its back to Craider's side.
The person stood as if protecting him.
It was a short woman with long and layered Chocolate-brown hair.
She had black lace fingerless glove on her right hand and a short tattered dress.
The dress had many asymmetrical layers of fabric.
It looked majestic with blood-red roses as small accessories.
Before Craider could question anything, he heard the woman whisper.
"You Official bastards are such a pain in the ass, you know that?"
Her voice was pleasant to the ears, melodious even.
But it was cold, with clear annoyance.
Craider finally realized how stupidly he had acted, he didn't know how to retort the woman.
Daimira watched the red haired man hiss and protect himself from the thrown Sun Water.
She was observing the situation and couldn't believe her eyes at the idiot who decided to fight one against four battle.
She felt especially displeased when she realized the man was from the Fertility Order.
'Do you have to be a f*cking moron to join the officials?'
In the end, Daimira couldn't stop herself from cursing.
She has long torn the Find Enchantment, but she knew it wouldn't be that easy.
She didn't know where Juny was, not to mention how long it would take for her to take out a map, find Daimira's location and get there.
That meant that her current job was only one: stall for time.
With that, Daimira poured another potion into her mouth as she rushed at the red-haired man before her.
Craider didn't stay dazed for long as he similarly got ready to attack the green-eyed man.
He reached out, taking out another handful of seeds, spreading them around him.
They immediately sprouted and grew in all directions, surrounding the green-eyed man.
Craider used a root as support before throwing his body forward with advanced speed.
The black-haired Vampire, after tying the Sanguine woman, turned around and looked towards Bedrich and the light-brown haired man.
Noticing this, the light-brown haired man nodded.
His body immediately fell down, sticking to the floor.
Before Bedrich managed to realize what happened, his shadow moved and took hold of his legs.
Immediately after that, he saw the black-haired Vampire hold a shimmering golden dagger.
The dagger flashed with pure white as holy-looking flames spread and flew in his direction.
Bedrich's blood ran cold, even though he felt inexplicably hot.
His body was immediately covered in sweat, trying to cool down.
The closer the flame got, the stronger the sense of dread.
"No!"
Craider, who noticed the blinding fire, tried to move roots to protect Bedrich, but it was impossible.
The roots were plants, they couldn't move with much speed at all.
Bedrich was frightened, too frightened to close his eyes.
Just then, the flame disappeared.
It disappeared as if it was never there and a strong feeling of coldness enveloped Bedrich's body, calming him.
Then, as the fire disappeared, Bedrich saw the black-haired Vampire.
The dagger has fallen to the ground and his hand was charred black.
But that was not all.
Mesmerizing Violet-black flames covered his entire body.
Even amidst this, the black-haired Vampire didn't move, or more like he couldn't move.
His body was trembling in pain, but he didn't move a finger.
Then, he exploded.
As his blood and organs burst in all directions, a figure appeared behind him.
The figure was incorporable.
Its face was covered in thick shadow and its body shape kept shifting and changing.
The figure walked through the place where the black-haired Vampire stood.
As it moved closer, the beautiful lady in red dress spoke with a smile.
"Scoutmaster, thank you for coming!"
Juny looked at Daimira before looking at Craiter and Bedrich.
Noticing the shift in advantage, the other three men didn't hesitate.
They all simultaneously drank a dark shadowy potion before turning cold black and fading into the shadows.
Juny watched this with relief.
'My stomach hurts... blowing people up is so hard! I'm gonna throw up blood soon.'
Unlike her inner commentary, she gently nodded at Daimira.
"Battle Patrol Leader, didn't I tell you to keep back and observe?"
She spoke in a calm tone, but it send shivers down Craiter's spine.
Daimira shuddered before glaring at Craider.
"I tried to, but these idi-"
"Battle Patrol Leader, don't curse."
Juny couldn't let Daimira embarrass their organization in front of the officials.
Daimira flinched before looking up at the sky.
Juny held back her need to shake her head as she glanced at Craider.
"You are from that organization."
Craider, although scared at the sight of this mysterious figure, spoke calmly.
'Organization? Me? How do you... Ah!'
Juny was confused how the official knew about her, but she soon understood.
'He must be the one who cleaned up the Count's mansion... does that mean that my 'edit' was successful? Nice!'
She felt excitement at the fact that she must look super cool to this man.
Juny refused to break her image.
She raised the corner of her lips.
"We meet again, don't we?"
She allowed for her amusement to show, making her seem much more confident.
Daimira looked back down at Juny with confusion.
'Again?'
She suppressed her need to ask as she walked closer in Juny's direction.
She mainly wanted to make distance from the official in case of a confrontation.
Juny scanned the two official Beyonders before turning to the pool of blood behind her.
"Battle Patrol Leader, let's leave."
Daimira's expression immediately turned complicated.
"Scoutmaster?"
Juny looked at her before turning her body away.
"There is nothing new for us find from Spirit Channeling, but those Officials might make use of it."
With that, Juny began walking away.
Daimira watched with a bad taste in her mouth.
She turned to the stupid man, Craider, before clicking her tongue with distaste.
"I hope you don't die."
With that she turned away and followed Juny, who has already picked the Beyonder characteristic and the Sanguine woman.
Craider frowned, but didn't chase after them, he had no confidence that he could survive the fight whatsoever.
But just before she turned the corner, Daimira turned around with a rare smirk.
Craider and Bedrich immediately tensed up.
"And... we're not from just any organization, we're the Abyssal Troop."
