Chapter 41: Six Years later
TWO WEEKS LATER
The sun had just begun to filter through the sheer curtains of the safehouse, casting warm golden lines across the wooden floor. The peaceful hum of daily life had returned to what had once been a place of survival and hiding.
Alex leaned back in a sturdy chair near the kitchen counter, sipping from a warm cup of green tea as he glanced over at Colleen—who was currently attempting to smack him with a rolled-up magazine for eating the last dumpling.
"You knew I was saving that," she said, narrowing her eyes.
Alex smirked. "I didn't know. I guessed. And I was right."
Colleen shook her head but couldn't stop the laugh that escaped her lips. "You're lucky you're pretty."
Sue groaned from the other side of the room, dragging her blanket like a defeated warrior. Her hair was a mess, eyes dull with exhaustion.
"If I lose another night of sleep because of your late-night... training, I'm going to Chi punch a wall," she muttered.
Alex blinked innocently. "We were just meditating."
"Your kind of meditation involves squeaking bed frames and Colleen screaming like she's being exorcised," Sue snapped back, deadpan.
Colleen nearly choked on her tea and hid her red face behind the mug. "We'll... try to be quieter."
"You've said that before," Sue grunted, plopping down on the couch.
But her frustration didn't last long—her eyes suddenly brightened as she raised her hand. A thin ripple of golden-white energy flickered around her palm, then coalesced into a glowing sphere. Chi. Controlled. Stable.
Colleen looked over and smiled proudly. "That's good control. You've gotten the hang of channeling to your fists?"
Sue nodded, her face shifting from tired to triumphant. "Yep. Took me two weeks, but I can coat my arms in Chi now. The feedback pain is gone, and I can punch hard enough to dent steel."
"Careful with that steel," Alex said, finishing his tea. "This place isn't rent-free."
Sue rolled her eyes. "Then maybe go find a work"
As the morning rolled on, they each drifted into their own rhythm—Colleen preparing for a midday class at the dojo, Sue heading to practice Chi flow on the rooftop, and Alex meditating, eyes closed, refining the quiet storm of energy now calmly coiled inside him.
Life had settled. For now. But they all knew this was the calm before the inevitable chaos the Marvel world would soon bring.

The sun filtered softly through the dojo windows, casting golden slats of light across the wooden floor. Alex was in the middle of a flawless set of push-ups—bare-chested, sweat glistening slightly under the morning light.
On his back?
Colleen and Sue, casually seated cross-legged like queens on a throne.
Alex continued doing push-ups effortlessly, his breathing steady, body toned like steel. He glanced up at the hovering display screen showing his stats and nodded in quiet approval.
"Alright," Alex exhaled, voice steady despite the weight. "Get off me."
On his back, both Sue and Colleen were sitting cross-legged, balanced perfectly. They grinned as they hopped off, having used his body like a training platform.
Colleen stepped up first, smirking as she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.
"You're still a beast."
Then Sue followed with a playful glint in her eyes, planting a light kiss on his lips.
Alex simply exhaled and smiled to himself.
"After six years of living and fighting together... both of them decided to share me," he thought.
His mind drifted back to four years ago—back to the night everything changed.
It had started like any other night, with a passionate evening between him and Colleen. The room was dimly lit, the warmth of their closeness still lingering—until the door suddenly opened.
Sue walked in, wearing nothing but a loose robe and a bold look in her eyes.
Alex pulled away instinctively, surprised, but Colleen didn't flinch. She stayed beside him, placed a hand on his chest, and looked him straight in the eye.
"From now on," she said calmly but firmly, "you're dating both of us."
Before Alex could say anything, Sue climbed onto the bed and kissed him.
That night, neither woman let him rest. They claimed him fully, emotionally and physically, as if sealing an unspoken pact. He didn't understand how or why, but something shifted. A line had been crossed, and there was no going back.
From that moment on, he'd been dating both of them.
And as for anyone asking about his opinion?
Well… no one ever did. And Alex never denied it either.
They then had breakfast together. As they ate, Alex asked, "Did anything happen?"
Sue replied casually, "Nope—just that Tony Stark got kidnapped."
Alex stared at her and then chuckled. 'So… the Marvel timeline is starting now.'
He smirked at the thought, while Colleen leaned in and asked, "Why are you grining like a fool?"
