Chapter 5: Chapter 4 Handsome Beyond the Skies_2
```
Su Chen walked the streets alone, an indescribable desolation about him.
Damn it, let's get some food first.
He was just about to look for some late-night snacks when suddenly, a white Jetta violently burst out of an alley.
He could have dodged it, but doing so would have been shockingly conspicuous.
After all, the car was going at least seventy miles per hour.
So, instead, he embraced the oncoming car with open arms.
Bang!
Su Chen was sent flying seven or eight meters.
The Jetta came to an abrupt stop, followed by a petite figure alighting from the car.
It was a girl, about twenty-one or twenty-two years old.
"You okay? Are you all right? I'm sorry, I was chasing a thief and didn't see you... please don't die, I beg you not to die! Wuu wuu..."
Watching the girl sobbing while facing away, Su Chen was speechless. If you're going to cry, at least face me! What's with crying with your back to me?
Although the collision wasn't enough to injure Su Chen, it hurt enough to make him grimace.
"Hey, girl..." Su Chen reached out and patted the girl on the shoulder.
"Ah! A ghost!" The girl screamed in terror.
"Ghost, my ass! Have you ever seen a ghost as handsome as me?" Su Chen was not amused.
After hearing Su Chen's words, the girl finally wiped her red eyes and said, "You... you're really not a ghost?"
Su Chen then noticed that the girl was wearing a police uniform, but it was that of a traffic officer.
A traffic officer?!
And driving so fast?
Upon realizing Su Chen was not dead, the female traffic officer's tears turned to laughter quickly.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you. To make it up to you, let me treat you to noodles," said the female officer, batting her watery eyes.
Su Chen wanted to say, take a hike with just a bowl of noodles? Unless you're paying thirty or fifty grand, forget about leaving tonight.
But looking at the girl's sincere face, he softened and as he was quite hungry anyway, he nodded and said, "Alright then."
"I know a noodle shop with really delicious noodles, I'll take you there."
The young traffic officer happily started the car.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the entrance of a rather dilapidated neighborhood.
Su Chen was speechless. So the especially tasty noodles the traffic officer mentioned were from a roadside stall with a few stoves on a tricycle, accompanied by three tables and plastic stools.
Alright, a roadside stand it is; he's eaten tree barks before, what's there he can't eat.
The girl ordered two bowls of pork rib noodles and then sat down with Su Chen on a plastic stool to wait.
Surprisingly, at such a late hour, this humble roadside stand still had three other customers slurping noodles.
One of them was nearly twice the height of the girl, with a bowl as big as a pot in front of him, wolfing down his noodles.
"I am He Yutong, a traffic officer. What about you?" the girl asked, her large eyes gazing at Su Chen.
"Oh, my name is Su Chen, a drifter without occupation."
"Ha ha, 'drifter without occupation,' that's quite fitting," said He Yutong, covering her mouth with a giggle.
Indeed, wandering the streets in the dead of night, if not a drifter, what else could one be?
Soon, the noodles arrived, and to their surprise, they were actually quite good.
"See? I didn't lie to you, right?" He Yutong said quite proudly, then moved all the pork ribs from her bowl into Su Chen's, chuckling, "I shouldn't eat too much meat; I'll get fat, and then I won't be able to run fast to catch thieves."
Su Chen really wanted to remind her, you're just a traffic officer, catching thieves isn't your job.
But not wanting to dampen the girl's spirits, he focused on enjoying his food.
Once the owner finished cooking the noodles and there was no business left, he turned on the radio.
"We now bring you an urgent newsflash: The Jiangdu Liufu Jewellery was robbed this evening by three Huaxia-born men, one of whom was reported to be over two meters tall according to surveillance... The thieves are extremely brutal, having injured two Armed Police officers already. Citizens are urged to be on the lookout and to notify the police immediately if sighted but to avoid confrontations at all costs..."
Overhearing this, the noodle stall owner couldn't help but swallow nervously, surreptitiously glancing at the three individuals seated at the table, one of whom... was over two meters tall!
He Yutong also couldn't help but cast a sidelong glance at the three men, her beautiful, large eyes widening as if she was about to stand up.
Su Chen shook his head at He Yutong.
Those three men didn't look like Ordinary People; they exuded a strong scent of death, they were either Mercenaries or assassins.
The fact that they dared to eat noodles so openly despite being wanted by the police meant they were not to be trifled with.
Moreover, they had injured two Armed Police!
Definitely not someone a small traffic officer like He Yutong could contend with.
He Yutong was stopped by Su Chen's look but continued to eat her noodles quietly.
However, merely five seconds later, He Yutong slammed her chopsticks down on the table and walked straight up to the three men, pointing to the black leather bag on the ground, "What's in your bag? Open it up and show me!"
In response to He Yutong's demand, the three continued to eat, not even lifting their heads to look at her.
They completely disregarded the young traffic officer.
"Didn't you hear me when I told you to open the bag?" He Yutong pressed her hand on the shoulder of the giant who was over two meters tall.
The giant still didn't look up, his fist shooting out and hitting He Yutong in the abdomen.
Thump!
He Yutong's body flew backward, knocking over the table with a clattering noise.
