Ultimate Village Doctor

Chapter 715: The Feeling of Returning to the Village

The early morning sunlight streamed through the curtains.

Long Xiaoshan opened his eyes. Qin You was curled up sleeping in his arms, seemingly exhausted from the night before. Long Xiaoshan touched his nose, embarrassed as he recalled his own craziness from the last night.

He gently removed Qin You's hand and stealthily got out of bed. After putting on his pants, he washed his face in the bathroom and then went to the kitchen to make breakfast, waiting for Qin You to wake up.

It was past ten o'clock by the time Qin You finally woke up.

"Sis, you're awake," Qin You opened her eyes to find Long Xiaoshan sitting cross-legged at the edge of the bed, smiling at her.

"Are you up? What time is it..." Qin You checked her phone: "It's already ten o'clock... I have a meeting this afternoon."

Qin You quickly sat up, frowning and casting a fierce glare at Long Xiaoshan.

Long Xiaoshan chuckled awkwardly, "Don't hurry, I'll drive you there, you'll make it. I've made you breakfast, eat something first."

Long Xiaoshan swiftly brought a bowl of medicinal porridge from the kitchen. Although the porridge had cooled down, he reheated it with his True Qi and a fragrant medicinal scent spread out: "You'll feel better after eating."

Qin You took the bowl with suspicion, but after eating the medicinal porridge, a warm flow spread throughout her body, quickly dissipating the discomfort.

Qin You was aware of Long Xiaoshan's abilities and wasn't too surprised.

With her discomfort gone, Qin You's spirits returned. After all, she was a cultivator who had undergone Qi Induction, which made her body much stronger than that of an ordinary person.

After getting dressed, Qin You rushed to work while Long Xiaoshan planned to check on his sister at school.

So, the two of them left the house and went downstairs.

Long Xiaoshan dropped Qin You off at the entrance and, holding her hand, he said, "Sis, I'm heading back to the village this afternoon, I'll come visit you again later."

"Go ahead," Qin You, looking sharp and agile, waved her hand and stepped out of the car.

Watching her enter, Long Xiaoshan then drove to the high school. By the time he arrived it was already noon. Long Xiaoling was thrilled to see Long Xiaoshan; he also invited Xu Manqing to join them for a meal.

After lunch, Long Xiaoshan drove back to Longyang Village.

Driving on the road towards Lotus Township, Long Xiaoshan noticed major changes. A wide three-lane highway led straight to the village, a priority project approved by the county because of the considerable finances of Longyang Group.

The construction progressed extremely quickly.

The three-lane highway was already taking shape. Although it wasn't fully completed yet, half was already open to traffic.

Driving on the smooth asphalt road and looking at the green hills and rice fields on both sides, breathing in the earthy scent of the countryside, Long Xiaoshan's mood became exceptionally great.

While the city was bustling, the rustic scent was still what Long Xiaoshan was most familiar with, filled with warmth and comfort.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, one could find peace.

Now that the road was much better, what used to be a half-hour drive took only ten minutes.

The village had changed even more.

Longyang Group was now flush with cash and had built many facilities in the village, including a village square. The lives of the villagers had improved considerably—compared to the past, the village had taken on a new look and was filled with vitality.

Long Xiaoshan drove his car onto the farm.

Seeing his parents waiting for him there, he had called them in advance.

Long Dashan and He Xiangyue had been looking forward to his arrival.

As Long Xiaoshan got out of the car, his parents hurried over and called out, "Little Xiaoshan."

"Dad, Mom!" Long Xiaoshan greeted them.

He Xiangyue quickly pulled her son over to give him a thorough look, saying, "My son, you seem to have grown even taller, and your skin has become so white, just like a city dweller."

Long Xiaoshan replied, "I haven't been in the sun much lately, so I've gotten paler, Mom. And you look younger and prettier too."

Hearing her son's compliments, He Xiangyue couldn't stop smiling, "It's all thanks to the vegetables you grow and the elixir pills you give us to eat. They work wonders! Last time I went to the township market, the cloth seller thought I was just over thirty. I told him I was nearly fifty, and he just wouldn't believe it."

"Old woman, flattery from a seller who profits from you doesn't count; you actually believed him," remarked Long Dashan.

"Pfft, you can't spit anything nice from a dog's mouth. You're just jealous of me. Now that our family has money, you even complain when I buy a few clothes," He Xiangyue chided.

"Ha ha, Dad, I have to tell you off for that. Mom does look young; it's not just the seller's flattery. Besides, isn't money meant to be spent? Mom, spend all you want, your son has plenty," said Long Xiaoshan.

Long Xiaoshan looked at his mother, who had been prematurely aged by poverty with half-white hair and wrinkled skin, looking like a woman in her fifties or sixties. Since eating the Spirit Vegetables they grew and the elixir pills, she had become increasingly youthful, her hair turning black and the spots on her skin fading, her complexion becoming radiant. Coupled with her improved wardrobe, she now looked like a woman in her late thirties with a mature charm, hardly the nearly fifty years she was.

"My son always knows how sweet to be. Come here, son, I've stewed a hen for you." He Xiangyue, beaming with joy, led Long Xiaoshan into the farm.

The elders were now accustomed to living on the farm side and had built an additional house there, taking care of the farm as usual.

With each spoonful of the delicious chicken soup his mother had stewed for him, Long Xiaoshan felt the warmth of his parents' love, which made his heart feel cozy. Although he was now a grandmaster-level expert with unfathomable skills.

He had many followers, not only controlling the Longyang Group and Dragon Spirit Pharmaceuticals, Bai's Medicinal Materials, and many large and small businesses, with assets worth billions. He was also the leader of the Hechuan business community, an instructor for the Special Action Division, and even controlled the Serpent Witch Sect in Myanmar.

In terms of power and strength, it would be hard to find a second like him in Hua Country at his age.

But no matter his overwhelming power or astonishing strength,

The feeling of coming home was still what he yearned for the most, something that no amount of power could replace.

After drinking the soup and eating the stewed hen, Long Xiaoshan chatted with his parents a while to learn about the recent developments in the village. Then, he walked towards the village with his hands behind his back.
