Uncool, man. (Invincible SI)

The next day at school me and Mark walk side by side. My brother looks pretty depressed as I rub his shoulder.

"I'm sure that old lady is fine dude. You did a good job getting her to a hospital. Don't sweat it." I comfort him. His face remains downcast still.

"I know... it's just. She could've died Markus. When I became a hero I didn't expect death to come so early." Mark begins as I sigh. Mark's always been a big softie.

"Dude we've seen Dad fight villains and get tossed through buildings. Do you think the people in those collapsing buildings lived? Unlikely. But that's why we're heroes. Expecting no death is naive. But you do what you can. Okay, bro?" I offer kind words to my saddened twin who nods.

We run into Mark's friend William and they begin to talk. William offered to cook for us and stuff.

"Eve Wilkins" I tense as I pick up some words in their conversation. Looking to the left I spot the green-eyed girl from yesterday.

'Looks like I was right, she is Atom Eve.'

"I'm going to go talk to her," Mark says as William snorts.

"Really? And so would every straight guy in a 20-mile radius." He begins but Mark brushes him off walking towards Eve as I politely exit the situation.

She and I have some bad blood after all. So I'll keep a respectful distance. Still feel like crap for ditching her.

"Hey, handsome" A familiar voice reaches my ears as I cut the corner. I turn and come face to face with the beautiful blonde from yesterday. But she's now out of costume.

"Woah who are you?" I feign ignorance as she snorts.

"Please pretty boy, you don't even wear a mask. I'm surprised you haven't been identified already." She says as I sigh.

"People tend to look past the face when looking at a hero. I also carry myself differently when I'm sentinel." I say as I look the girl up and down.

"Also I have a name. It's Markus. Not that I mind being called handsome but I'd prefer Markus" I begin with xlr8 nodding.

"I'm Natasha." She says as I nod. She smiles and continues.

"So what about that date? You lost the race." She says as we walk out of the school building.

"You said the winner plans the date. So it's up to you." I say as Natasha nods.

"Okay, I want you to take me flying. As the fastest girl alive I've done everything you can imagine but flying at super speed." She says as I snort.

"You sure? Flying can be pretty scary~" I tease Natasha snorts

"Please, I'm fearless flyboy"

"Where gonna be flying, but we can't fly aimlessly. Where do you wanna go?" I ask as the girl begins to think.

"Antarctica," She says immediately. Is she serious? I doubt the cold would affect me but her? She's a normal person minus the super speed.

"You're joking, you would get hypothermia," I say blankly as the girl groans.

"No, I won't. Look. Due to my super speed, my body is constantly 'hot' so my average temp is way above that of a normal person. I can't recall a single time I've been cold since I got my powers." She says as I hum.

She reaches out. Gets in my personal space and grabs my hand. I feel her warmth and my eyes widen. She's right. Her hand isn't 'Warm' it's like a noticeable heat to it. Not enough to hurt even a normal person but still.

"But, why do you even want to go to Antarctica?" I question as the girl blushes.

"I want to hug penguins..."

That gets me smiling as I move to tease her.

"Awww is little Natasha a penguin lover~" My teasing is interrupted by someone calling Natasha's name.

"Natasha! There you are. We have to go" a familiar voice says as we turn left and see Eve approaching.

We make eye contact and I cringe she glares a bit at me but holds back her tongue turning to her friend.

"Woah since when did you two get so close? And why with him" she says hostility as I put my hands up in resignation.

"Hey! You two got some bad blood huh? Eve this is the guy from yesterday. Sentinel." I nod.

"Yea we're old... friends," Eve says as I nod. No need for us to argue here.

"But we have to go Natasha. Robot is calling." Eve says as Natasha and Eve rush off. Looking up I notice Mark looking down at me on the school roof.

"Why the hell are you up there?" I ask my twin who shrugs.

The next day after school I met with Natasha after school again. The girl smiling at me as she uses her supersede to change into her hero clothes.

To a normal person, she'd look like a whirlwind but to me, I saw every tiny detail. She did it on purpose. Even with my enhanced perception, she was still nothing less than a red streak when we were fighting the invading aliens.

I see her undress and change into her super suit in the blink of an eye. She smirks as I smile.

"Like what you saw Markus?" She says as I nod eagerly.

"Keep it in your pants, pretty boy, I've heard rumors you get around. You going to change too?" She asks as I snort.

"Let's not talk about the school's opinion of me please, but yeah gimme a moment"

I just casually take off my civilian clothes to reveal my sentinel suit hidden underneath. I got the idea from Mark.

"That's lame I expected to get a sneak peak." Natasha groans as I laugh.

"Maybe next time princess. Now where are we going?" I ask as the girl laughs.

"First you gotta keep up." In a burst of movement, she's gone in a blur of superspeed. I groan and shoot after her at my top speed.

Following the red and blue blur through the city. She moves to the water and begins running on it towards the bridge. I fly down next to her rapidly moving form.

We can't speak cause we're moving faster than sound. So I look at her and nod. She runs up the bridge with me following closely behind.

Reaching the top of one of the bridge pillars me and Natasha come face to face with Mark and Eve.

"Woah when did you two get here?" Mark asks as I shrug.

"Just now, you?" I ask as my brother hums

"The same. Eves a good flyer and I accidentally flew through a billboard." Mark says as he rubs the back of his head.

"Classic" I snort. The amount of times Mark crashes into things while we fly is almost comical.

In a moment the floor beneath us opens as we all fall inside of the bridge pillar.

I catch Natasha and slow our descent. Mark and Eve just stop their falls just before they hit the ground.

"Aww I appreciate it sentinel but a fall like that wouldn't have done anything to me," Natasha says as I float down holding her in a princess carry.

"Woah," I mutter looking around at the teen team's base. I note duplikate playing ping pong with herself with Rex splode watching. Before he turns around to us.

"Bae." He says as Eve walks over and they begin to make out. I nudge Mark with a knowing smile. Poor guy,

Rex ends the kiss and looks at Mark.

"Woah! It's the ice-man! We couldn't have won that fight without you, oh! We did." Rex taunts Mark as I snort at him.

"Rex-"

"Like you did anything but throw pocket change and get your ass saved by me." I taunt back. Only I can mess with Mark. No one else.

Rex goes to respond but robot interrupts.

"Apologies for Rex, he's-"

"Totally awesome"

"Rude"

"A douchebag"

Eve Rex and Natasha share their opinions as Duplikate walks Over to me and Mark

"""I'm duplikate""" The three duplikates says I already knew that as I kept up with superheroes but I nod.

"Invincible."

"Sentinel."

The three girls smile as Mark looks between the three of them.

"Which one of you am I supposed to look at when speaking to you?" He says genuinely curious but robot interrupts.

"Sorry to interrupt, but it's good you two are here. Sentinel, Invincible. With the Guardians now being... indisposed, Cecil and the GDA will be calling on us to battle the Flaxans.

We would like to see if you two would help us. We could use 2 powerful allies" robot says as I nod.

"Are you sure you want us to help you?" Mark says as I punch his shoulder. He yelps as I put some force behind it before glaring.

Robot stares blankly before Me and Mark give him our number.

"Hey flyboy, looks like you are on time," Natasha says to me as I float down to her. We met at her house.

"Yeah, I'm kinda excited. I don't get many chances to fly around, so going to Antarctica should be a blast." Natasha walked up to me and I outstretched my arms.

Picking her up in a princess carry she wraps her hands around my neck and we make eye contact briefly. My heart races as I shoot into the sky.

To make good time I fly at about 50% of my top speed. Just enough to where we can still talk to each other.

"So, flyboy. How long have you had your powers?" Natasha questions as I stay focused flying ahead.

"Uhh, I got them like a month ago," I tell her truthfully. Her eyes widen.

"Really? Your powers remind me of the immortals and Omni man's." She says as I snort.

"Don't compare the immortal to Omni man, but yeah. Omni man is my and invincibles Dad." I inform my date as her eyes widen.

"Omni man, the strongest person on the planet. The alien from outer space. He's your dad!?" She yells as I smirk. But it's strained as my mind wanders.

"Yeah... that's my dad," I mutter as her arms tighten around my neck. We fly above the ocean waves crashing as I note it's storming.

"Wait so that invicible guy is your brother huh? You two seem pretty close in age, a year gap maybe." Natasha prods curiously as I shake my head no.

"Nah, Invincible Is my younger twin brother. I'm older by 15 minutes."

"Oh, that's cool."

Smiling at my date we note massive storm clouds a bit in the distance, rain falling heavily in the area.

That would be scary if I were some normal person on a boat. With a smirk, I shoot forward a bit faster. Flying right toward the storm.

"Woah hold on why the hell are you flying towards that storm!" Natasha questions as she clings to me like a koala. My hands protectively around her.

"Do you trust me?" I ask one question. I won't go through it if she doesn't trust me. But I want her to trust me.

Halting mid-air I look into her eyes through the red-tinted goggles. Her face is natural as we look at each other for a while.

She breathes out slowly. And shakily nods. I smirk.

"For the fastest girl alive you sure are a scaredy cat~" I tease before yelling in excitement and shooting through the storm.

My form Flies through the wind and rain with ease. Natasha clings to me as I do loops and twirls in the air.

"Hell yeah!" I yell as I shoot higher into the sky. Looking at the girl in my arms I notice a small smile on her face. Looks like she's starting to enjoy this.

"Hold your breath. I'm going to fly above the storm clouds." I say as she nods. With a burst of motion, I'm shooting upwards. My eyes focus as we shoot through the clouds.

It's wet. And cold. But my eyes remain unaffected by the foggy environment as I shoot through the clouds with a burst.

Now flying above the storm Natasha takes a greedy breath of air as I hug her and stop my flying. Giving her time to collect herself.

Smiling softly as she calms herself I smile.

"You're pretty confident when you're grounded. But up here you're a scaredy cat~" I laugh as she glares hard.

"I move at supersonic speeds daily. I'm just not used to being up so high." She says as I freeze.

"You're scared of heights!" I say as she blushes in embarrassment.

"Shut it!"

"How are you afraid of heights? You run up literal skyscrapers all the time. I've seen the tube tube clips." I say as she shakes her head.

"I have no control up here. If you dropped me right now I'd plummet to my death. When I'm running up buildings I'm in full control." She explains as I nod.

"Well, good thing your super awesome date is the one in control." I toot my own horn as she snorts.

"Whatever, let's go I wanna see some penguins!" Natasha says as I nod and shoot off.

Antarctica is bland. Cold. Boring. Crossing my arms the frosty wind blows my hair around as I scowl at my date. Who's busy marveling at the emperor penguins surrounding her.

"They're so cute! Oh my, they love me" she says excitedly as they flock around her. She rubs their heads and smiles like a kid who found free candy

"Yeah, I guess they're all right." Noting four baby penguins that appear to be mirroring my pose their arms crossed as I laugh at the ridiculousness.

Of course, all good things come to an end as Natasha plays with her penguin buddy's I twitch and suddenly.

-RRRRRRRRRRRT-

The sound of ice breaking alerts the both of us as we turn left on guard. The ice 5 meters away cracks open.

-BOOOM-

Outshoots a large 20-meter-tall grotesque monster. Its head is one of a squid. Its body is a weird mix of bear and tiger. It also has wings.

"What the fuck" I mutter as it roars at us.

I burst into action. No hesitation, my feet leave the ground as I rock the behemoth in the face. My fist caves its head in as it's sent flying into a nearby mountain.

"Protect the penguins, I got this!" I tell Natasha who nods. And guides the panicking penguins away.

Blitzing towards the mountain the monster I punched was. I shoot forward with my fist in front of me. Superman style. One of the few heroes I remember from my past life.

The monster seems to recover quickly. Its arms shoot out grotesquely the tentacles on its face shoot out to grab me as I cringe in disgust. Easily outmaneuvering the freak monster.

In a blur, I'm behind it. Kicking its back I send it flying into the distance. Blurring behind its sailing form I kick it upwards.

Smiling as the monster roars in pain I shoot up. My fist poised downward as I shot down towards its chest just as it began to fall.

"Ha!" I yell as I punch right through its chest. My hand grabs its large heart as I explode out of its back.

Cringing in disgust at the blue blood along my body. I shake it off with a quick spin at superspeed. Tossing the torso-sized heart behind me as the monster lay dead.

"Woah, not bad. You handled that quickly." I hear Natasha arrive next to me as I smile.

"Yeah, don't know what made this thing. Or how it came to existence but it wasn't a challenge."

We sit still in a comfortable silence. The penguins waddle around us as I sigh.

"It's time to go don't you think" I ask my date as she smiles at me. And nods.

She walks over to me with her arms crossed as I outstretch my arms to her, she gets close and I feel my heart race a bit as she captures my lips. Standing on her tippy toes.

After we break the kiss I back up a bit. My face displays my confusion. A kiss on the first date is a new one

"Woah, you move a bit fast dating-wise and speed-wise." I joke as Natasha chuckles.

"No, I just really enjoyed this date... my uncle. Red Rush. He died recently. Whichever villain attacked the Garudians and Omni man has left my family in turmoil."

I nod. Keeping my thoughts to myself as I feel an unsettling guilt. I know who killed her uncle. But I can't and won't tell her.

"I'm so sorry to hear that, you know Omni man's my dad so I can relate to your family's turmoil." I begin as she nods. Her smirk returns as she leaps into my arms.

"Let's talk on the way flyboy. I wanna go home, and besides it's getting too windy." She notes that as I begin to pay attention to the environment.

Being invulnerable is such a cheat. I didn't even notice the crazy amount of wind and snow picking up. Hell, I'm only wearing a skin-tight super suit yet I'm not even slightly affected by the cold.

I mean Natasha also seems to be holding out well. She remains pretty unaffected as well but that's a side effect of her super speed turning her into a walking heater.

Shooting into the sky I blast off with my date in hand. A small smile finds its way to my face as I break the sound barrier.
