Ch:09
Kiss…?
Seo-hye’s reddish eyes trembled helplessly.
That was a word that could never be exchanged between her and Jae-gyeom.
Her wide eyes stared at him in shock. His gaze was so dark and deep that she couldn’t quite understand it.
Just looking at him made her heart feel like it was spinning in nausea. She couldn’t even comprehend the strange sensation she was feeling, blaming it on the unexpected situation.
On this quiet night, without even a breeze, Seo-hye’s heart pounded so loudly she was afraid he might hear it. Her lips went dry.
“This is what you’d call a mistake.”
Jae-gyeom’s voice had a hint of amusement, making Seo-hye’s ears burn red.
For just a moment, she thought she saw desire flicker in his eyes. But realizing it was just her imagination, she felt embarrassed, her face heating up.
“You’re taking the joke too far.”
Her voice sharpened slightly. She was annoyed at herself for reacting to his teasing.
Why would someone like him want to kiss her? Not that she wanted to either, of course.
“What if it’s not just a joke?”
“…What?”
If it’s not a joke, then what?
Seo-hye met his challenging gaze head-on without looking away.
And then, just as she thought his expression was turning serious, Jae-gyeom spoke in a low voice, with no hint of amusement.
“I’m the type who can’t stand being curious.”
“….”
“Want to kiss?”
Jae-gyeom felt that if he kissed Seo-hye properly, he might finally understand.
Why he wanted to kiss her.
Why, when he was around her, his thoughts became completely inappropriate.
Why her lips seemed so unbearably sweet.
He was the kind of man who had to resolve his curiosity on the spot.
Seo-hye was stunned by his words, her throat tightening.
His gaze lingered on her lips as if it was stuck there.
Feeling burdened by his intense stare, Seo-hye unconsciously pulled her lips inward.
And then, Jae-gyeom’s hand grabbed the back of her neck, pulling her closer.
At the same time, the shopping bag in her hand dropped to the ground.
Thud.
Seo-hye instinctively shut her eyes tightly.
They were just about to touch.
“….”
His breath brushed against her lips, close enough to feel every detail.
She was expecting a kiss—but suddenly, his movements stopped.
Sensing something was off, Seo-hye cautiously opened her eyes—only to find herself locked in his deep, unreadable gaze.
“A…”
Without realizing it, her lips parted slightly.
And in that moment, his lips finally captured hers.
He kissed her, no longer holding back.
His grip on her neck tightened, pulling her impossibly closer.
His lips pressed firmly against hers, sending an intense heat coursing through her body.
His tongue slipped between her lips, exploring every corner, stirring chaos in her mind.
Her hand, which had instinctively reached for the car door, trembled.
Like a man dying of thirst, he kissed her hungrily, seeking more.
His tongue wrapped around hers, coaxing her into the kiss. Seo-hye shivered at the unfamiliar sensation.
Yet, she had no desire to stop.
She didn’t even think about pushing him away.
All she could do was clutch his jacket tightly, letting herself be consumed.
His tongue traced along her inner lips, then pushed deeper, making her head spin.
This wasn’t her first kiss.
And yet, it felt like she was stepping into a completely unknown world for the first time.
She couldn’t make sense of this overwhelming feeling.
Not the absurdity of kissing her brother’s friend.
Not the strange sensations running through her body.
But Jae-gyeom wasn’t about to let her think about anything else.
Tilting his head, he deepened the kiss, swallowing her lips entirely.
There was no part of her mouth he hadn’t touched—her teeth, the roof of her mouth, the soft inner walls, and even the back of her throat.
He drank in the sweet taste of her mouth as if he was addicted to it.
Seo-hye gasped for air, barely keeping up with him.
But whenever she struggled to breathe, he teasingly gave her just enough air, making her cling to him even more.
The more she leaned into him, the stronger his desire became.
Her lips were impossibly sweet.
He usually hated things that were too sweet.
But Seo-hye’s lips?
He could devour them all day.
Slurp, smack.
The wet sound of their lips meeting echoed in the quiet car.
And finally, the alarm bells in Seo-hye’s head started ringing.
Danger.
Somehow, she had ended up sitting on his lap.
She had no idea when or how it happened.
She wasn’t even unconscious—yet the kiss had completely wiped out her ability to think.
Now, she was straddling his solid thighs, pressed against his firm chest, lost in a deep kiss.
And then—she felt something hard against her.
Before she could fully realize what it was, Jae-gyeom pulled her back into another deep kiss.
The heated, possessive way he explored her mouth made her lightheaded.
But that sensation—that hardness—finally brought her back to reality.
Her body tensed.
She slowly placed a hesitant hand on his chest, trying to push him away.
But instead of pulling back, he pressed closer, making the sensation even more obvious.
And in that moment, she knew what it was.
Her entire body stiffened in shock.
Overwhelmed, Seo-hye shoved at his chest with more force this time.
Finally, Jae-gyeom stopped.
His arms, which had been holding her tightly, loosened just slightly.
But neither of them moved.
The air in the car was thick with tension.
Jae-gyeom’s broad chest rose and fell steadily, as if he was completely unaffected.
But Seo-hye?
She was breathless, struggling to regain control.
“…That was f***ing amazing.”
His low, husky voice broke the silence.
Seo-hye’s face burned.
“O-Oppa…”
Her voice was wrecked, hoarse from holding back moans.
She wanted to die.
The car, which had felt so hot moments ago, now felt ice cold.
Bzzzt. Bzzzt.
The sudden vibration of a phone interrupted the moment.
But Jae-gyeom didn’t even glance at it.
“Drive safe.”
Seo-hye bolted out of the car as if running for her life.
She didn’t even look back.
“…Hah.”
Jae-gyeom let out a breath, watching her disappear.
The words she had left him with were too ridiculous.
“F***.”
Drive safe?
Seo-hye.
“I should be the one worrying about that.”
His pants were still unbearably tight.
If she hadn’t pushed him away, he might have gone further right here in the car.
He scoffed, shaking his head.
The buzzing phone had stopped.
Looking down, he noticed the shopping bag she had dropped.
Then, his eyes lifted again.
He stared in the direction she had vanished, his gaze heavy with lingering heat.
