Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Sylvia van Jan Sasbrink 2
"That's dangerous! Chotika." Walker protested. "They could kill you!"
Chotika's eyes narrowed. Her hands danced through the air, forming fire blast after fireball. Walker watched in awe as the spells flew toward the beasts, incinerating them.
Chotika stood firm, her sari flowing like flames themselves as she unleashed a barrage of fireballs at the incoming beasts. The crackling energy of her magic illuminated the dark forest, casting eerie shadows against the trees. The creatures—a pack of Shadowfang Wolves, their eyes glowing red—howled in pain as the scorching fire engulfed them.
Walker could barely process what he was witnessing. Chotika wasn't just beautiful—she was powerful.
One wolf managed to leap through the flames, its charred fur smoking as it lunged toward her.
"Watch out!" Walker shouted.
But Chotika didn't flinch.
With a graceful spin, she extended her arm, and a sudden burst of heat erupted from her palm—a concentrated jet of fire that blasted the beast mid-air. It fell lifelessly to the ground, smoke rising from its singed body.
Walker stared, breathing heavily. "You're... amazing."
Chotika smirked, wiping sweat from her brow. "And you're just realizing that now?"
The remaining wolves hesitated, growling lowly as they circled, their instincts warning them that their prey was more dangerous than they had expected. Chotika stepped forward, her fingers glowing with embers, ready to strike again.
The wolves are gone, he thought. I must have imagined them.
"Are you okay?" Chotika asked, concern evident in her voice.
"Yes," Walker lied, staring at the wreckage of the dead Shadowfang Wolf. He brushed past her, eager to escape the area.
"let's get inside," Chotika said, gesturing to the carriage. She climbed back into the carriage and waved for Walker to join her. "Terulantis capital is nearly twenty miles away. We can't waste any time."
She opened the door, and Walker slipped inside the carriage. Chotika closed the door behind him and clicked the latch shut.
As the carriage moved once again, it rolled to Terulantis capital.
Four hours later, Walker finally arrived in Terulantis's capital. It was a bustling city teeming with people from all over the world. Some were dressed in the traditional robes of their home countries while others wore clothing from different cultures.
The streets were full of vendors selling goods and food, and the sounds of laughter and music echoed.
"this time I will separate the way from you I feel sad I know I am not supposed to do that," Chotika said, her hand holding his shoulder.
Walker frowned.
"I'm sorry," Walker said, remembering what she said about feeling bad.
"it's alright," Chotika said, her face smiling, and kissed his cheek. "I will see you soon."
He blush and look down, tears already falling from his cheeks. Chotika kneeled on the ground. "please don't cry" she said, her voice soft and gentle, like the breeze of the ocean.
Walker nodded. "Okay."
chotika gives him a deep hug. "I will give you something."
"What?"
"Dragon earring." Chotika smile. "It will protect you from your enemies. But be careful, it can hurt you if you do not control your powers."
She wears The dragon Earring to his ear. "you will need to learn how to use it. And when you master it, you will become my most powerful pupil."
Chotika kissed his lips, then jumped out of the carriage, vanishing into the crowd.
Walker remained seated until the carriage rolled away, disappearing into the city.
He watched her leave, hoping he would see her again. But deep down, he knew he wouldn't.

Walker stepped into the city of Terulantis. he saw many people around a market. He walked towards the market, looking at many things. He never thought to live in Medieval times.
"Hi, do you need food or need a place to stay?" The girl asked him politely.
Walker was surprised by her kindness. "Oh, how much do you charge?"
"Very cheap, my hotel is not crowded. Please come and support us. We serve free breakfast and lunch, and we give discounts for every additional night that you stay with us."
"That sounds great! I'll check it out right away." Woody replied enthusiastically.
When he entered the building, he saw a small sign that read 'The New Inn'.
"Welcome to the new Inn of the Lanterns, my name is Abigail. How may I assist you?" She greeted him cheerfully.
"Hello, my name is Woody Walker, I'm here to begin to build family life. I just arrived in town, and I would like to book a room for tonight."
Abigail smiled. "Great, I have a beautiful room reserved for you." She gave him directions to his room. "Please follow me, there are some things you might need to know."
They walked through the inn, which smelled wonderful. There was an open kitchen, where several cooks were working diligently on the meals. They also passed by the dining hall, where tables were full of hungry customers eating happily.
"Here we are," Abigail said, opening the door to his room.
A large bed sat on one side of the room, and a writing desk and chair rested next to it. A wardrobe stood on the other side of the room, and a window let in plenty of sunlight.
Woody walked over to the bed and lay on top of it, smiling. The room was very comfortable, and he felt safe there. He had no idea what was going to happen next, but he felt happy.
"Is everything okay? If you need anything else, please tell me."
"Can I rest in the lobby?" Walker asked.
"Of course. You can relax here as long as you want." Abigail said kindly.
He followed her back to the lobby, and she pointed out the dining hall. Then they went to the front desk.
The moment he saw someone wear a rope and step down the ladder, he saw a green crystal floating.
"Sylvia? Are you Sylvia?" Walker asked.
She looked up at him threw her robe and attacked him. Sylvia takes down Walker and grabs his neck.
"Aah!" Walker screamed, trying to fight her off.
He struggled and kicked, but she held him tight, choking him.
"Tell me who sent you to find me?" Sylvia demanded.
"No! No! No! " Walker tried to get rid of her.
"Hey! Sylvia don't do it in my inn!" Abigail yelled angrily. "Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! "
"Who sent you?" Sylvia repeated. "Don't play games with me. Tell me, now," Sylvia said in a cold voice.
"No! I will tell the truth, I find you because I'm falling in love with you."
Sylvia's grip on his throat faltered for just a second, her piercing blue eyes widening in shock.
Walker gasped for air, coughing as he felt the pressure on his neck lessen slightly. He looked up at her, his face still red from her attack, but his gaze was sincere. "It's the truth... I don't know why, but the moment I saw you... I felt something. Like I already knew you."
Sylvia's hands trembled. Her expression flickered between anger and confusion. Her blonde hair framed her face as she studied him as if searching for a lie in his eyes.
"Liar," she whispered, but her voice lacked conviction.
Abigail, still standing at the front desk with her hands on her hips, scowled. "Sylvia, I swear on the gods, if you break one more piece of furniture in my inn, I'll make sure you pay for it. Get off him!"
Sylvia hesitated for another moment before she let go, pushing herself off of Walker and stepping back, her arms crossed.
Walker coughed, rubbing his neck. "Damn, you're strong."
"Of course I am," Sylvia snapped. "I'm a knight. And I don't trust strangers who come looking for me."
Walker sat up, still catching his breath. "I wasn't sent by anyone. I'm looking for my... for my wives." He hesitated, wondering how crazy it would sound to just say it outright. "And you're one of them, Sylvia."
Sylvia's brow furrowed. "What kind of sick joke is this?"
"It's not a joke," Walker said seriously. "I know you don't remember, but I do. Or at least... I'm starting to. I was sent here—no, I was meant to find you. To protect you."
Sylvia scoffed. "Protect me? From what? I can handle myself just fine."
"I know but tell me why you are living in this place not your castle," Walker said.
Sylvia ran her fingers through her hair, then sighed. "This is my home now."
"You came all the way here without guards or servants?"
"I didn't have any choice," Sylvia replied bitterly. "When I left my castle, they..." she trailed off, tears starting to form in her eyes.
"Did you lose your family too?"
"I have been slandered, I never betray the queen and kingdom of Terulantis," Sylvia said with a sigh. "But when I returned, nobody believed me. They accused me of being a traitor, and I was imprisoned. I tried to defend myself, but they wouldn't listen. When they learned I couldn't prove my innocence, they took away my title and threw me into exile. Now I live here. I won't ever return to the castle, even if I could prove my innocence."
"Sylvia is the daughter of the previous king. After his father died, his uncle became the king, but he died in the war. Queen Mia-Selina took over the throne." Abigail explains
"Who is slandered, Sylvia."
"General Raul of Terulantis, I don't know why he hates me so much, but he has been trying to frame me for treason. That's why I had to flee."
"Why didn't the Queen Mia-Selina believe you?"
"I don't know. Even Princess Crystina believed me. but the court ruled against me." Sylvia said sadly.
"So that's why I'm here now. I need to find proof to exonerate Sylvia, and restore your name." Walker said.
"That's great, but... " Sylvia said.
"I'll be fine. I can't let my future wife down." Walker said confidently.
"I don't think I've ever met someone so stupid," Sylvia muttered.
"Do you hate me so much?" Walker asked, surprised.
"Yes. You're an arrogant man, and I barely know you."
"You don't know anything about me yet, and—"
"Sylvia, you said General Raul who slandered you," Abigail asks.
"yes, he does not like the fact I did not marry his son," Sylvia said glumly.
"I saw General Raul come to entertain area while I was walking that," Abigail said. "maybe can investigate something."
"We don't have time." Sylvia said. "let's go"
"not you, me and your future husband will go to investigate," Abigail said.
"No, I'm..."
"you will arrest, Please trust me," Abigail said. "Kailah."
"yes"
"Please take care of our inn for a while and hang a close sign outside," Abigail said.
Sylvia looked up at Walker, her eyes wide with surprise.
"let's go, Walker," Abigail said.
