Urban Plundering: I Corrupted The System!

Chapter 521: The TWO Elianas: The Weight of Futures

The mansion's living room was bathed in the golden light of late afternoon, shadows stretching across marble floors and Persian rugs. On the plush velvet couch, two women sat intertwined, their hands clasped together like lifelines in a storm. Their pale skin seemed almost translucent in the warm light, as if they'd been carved from moonstone rather than flesh.

Ava's breath caught in her throat as she took in the sight of Claire and Alina. Her fellow Real Estate Avengers—once vibrant, strong women who could flip houses and take down supernatural threats with equal ease—now looked fragile as winter frost. Their bodies had grown thin everywhere except for the impossible swells of their pregnancies, which dominated their frames like twin moons.

"Oh my God," Ava whispered, rushing forward. Cassidy and Noctavine followed close behind, their expressions equally concerned.

Claire looked up with tired eyes that still held their familiar warmth. "Hey, Ava. We've been better."

"You look..." Ava struggled for words that wouldn't sound alarming. "You look like you haven't slept in weeks."

"Try months," Alina said with a weak laugh, her hand unconsciously stroking her enormous belly. "These little ones are quite the handful already."

Ava knelt beside the couch, her worry evident. "How are you handling this? The pregnancy, I mean. It's only been what, four months?"

"Yeah, less than five," Claire confirmed, wincing as something shifted inside her. "But it feels like we're carrying elephants."

Ava turned to Noctavine, who had been observing the women with professional interest. "Is this normal? For supernatural beings, I mean? They're so much bigger than any human pregnancy I've ever seen."

Noctavine nodded thoughtfully. "It depends entirely on who's pregnant, their race, and more importantly, who the father is." She moved closer, her ancient eyes studying their conditions. "For vampires, pregnancy is rare but quick—usually four months. Wolves can carry for seven months or more. Demons and Deamons are the strangest of all, sometimes taking two full years before delivery. Elves typically mirror human pregnancies at nine months, as do most humans. Witches, however, can manipulate time for it—they can slow or accelerate their pregnancies at will."

"That's... a lot of variation," Cassidy said, taking a seat nearby.

"Indeed." Noctavine's expression grew more serious. "I've heard stories from Zhang Ruoyun—one of Parker's women. You know her, Ava and Cassidy, though Claire and Alina haven't met her yet."

The two pregnant women shook their heads, confirming they didn't know the name.

"Zhang told me something fascinating," Noctavine continued. "It took Maya hundreds of years to give birth to Nyxavere—Parker's only child, until now."

Claire's eyes widened in horror. "Hundred of years? Are you saying we're going to be pregnant for centuries?"

Noctavine chuckled softly. "No, no. Although these children share Parker as their father, there are crucial differences. The first being that your pregnancies appear to be only days away from completion."

Both women laughed with relief, their tension visibly easing.

"What are the other differences?" Alina asked, curiosity overcoming her exhaustion.

"Well, Maya is a being beyond comprehension—the rules of reality bend around her, including the laws of time and pregnancy. That birth happened millions of years ago, and Parker's power level, the potency of his essence, all of that factors into—"

"Wait, wait," Ava interrupted, her voice rising. "Did you say millions of years ago? Nyxavere is that old?"

Cassidy's mouth fell open. "Millions of years?"

Noctavine nodded calmly. "To beings like Parker and Maya, millions of years are equivalent to perhaps seventeen human years, maybe fewer. The same applies to Nyxavere."

Understanding dawned on Ava's face. "That's why she looks and acts like a teenager. In their world, she literally is one."

"Precisely," Noctavine confirmed. "Now, since you both conceived before the Prince's awakening, you'll likely follow a more human timeline. However, given that Parker was still the Prince of Existence even in his dormant state, early delivery is quite possible."

None of this information surprised Claire or Alina—Ava and Cassidy had kept them updated on every supernatural revelation happening around Parker their boss and the man who'd by surprise had impregnated the couple that night they'd sex with him and Ava.

What did surprise everyone was their decision; "We haven't told Parker yet," Claire said quietly. "We want it to be a surprise."

"He's going to be over the moon," Alina added, then winced as her baby gave a particularly strong kick. "Ow! This little one's got quite the right hook."

Noctavine's eyes lit up with interest. "May I?" She gestured toward their bellies.

Both women nodded, and Noctavine placed her hands gently on their swollen stomachs. Her eyes closed in concentration, and after a moment, she smiled.

"They're both girls," she announced.

The room erupted in excited squeals and tears of joy. Claire and Alina looked at each other with pure happiness, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten.

"Girls!" Claire laughed, tears streaming down her pale cheeks. "We're having daughters!"

"Parker's going to have three daughters," Alina said wonderingly. "He's going to be so protective, we'll never get them out of the house."

"Have you thought about names?" Cassidy asked, wiping away her own tears.

Claire grew thoughtful, her hand resting on her belly as her daughter shifted inside her. After a long moment, she spoke slowly and softly.

"Eliana."

The name hung in the air like a prayer.

"Eliana?" Noctavine repeated, along with the others. "That's beautiful. Where did that come from?"

Claire's expression grew distant, almost dreamlike. "I... I don't know. It just came to me. Like it was always meant to be her name." She looked up at her friends with a soft smile. "It feels right, you know? Like it's who she's supposed to be."

"It's a beautiful name, Claire," Ava said warmly.

"Absolutely perfect," Cassidy agreed.

"Thank you," Claire said, her voice thick with emotion. "Of course, it's ultimately up to Parker to accept it or not. These are his daughters too."

"He'll love it," Alina assured her. "Just like he'll love them."

As the women continued to chat and plan, none of them noticed the slight shift in the air, the way the shadows seemed to deepen just a fraction. None of them felt the cosmic ripple that their simple conversation had just created.

The name Eliana had been spoken into existence, and with it, a future none of them would survive had just been written into the fabric of reality itself.

In the distance, thunder rumbled across a cloudless sky.
