Urban Villain: The Game of Wealth and Women

Chapter 57: CH: 57 Fasten your seat belt and hold on to your seat!

{Chapter: 57 Fasten your seat belt and hold on to your seat!}

"It's okay. After all, my past incomprehensible actions left you with a lot of bad impressions. In your heart, my image is likely awful, and I believe that's inevitable," Lin Yuan said, waving his hand. His tone was flat, indifferent, as if he was speaking of something unimportant.

After all, the "licking dog" he used to be no longer existed. That person wasn't truly him.

Yan Ruyue, still thinking she had offended Lin Yuan, quickly explained, her voice trembling slightly, "No, no! I've realized you've changed! You're really different now!"

"Well, that's good," Lin Yuan replied, his tone cold and distant.

His nonchalant reply left Yan Ruyue momentarily at a loss. It was as if his words were a wall, blocking her from getting closer. She wanted to say more but felt stuck, unsure how to continue the conversation.

An awkward silence settled in the car.

But in her heart, Yan Ruyue was far from silent. A storm of questions raged within her, questions she desperately wanted to ask but didn't dare to voice.

How does Lin Yuan know so much about stocks? How does he have medical skills? And why does he play the piano so well? What was that last piece he performed? Was it his own composition?

Who was that girl playing the violin with him? And what is their relationship?

She gritted her teeth, frustrated with herself. Despite the countless questions flooding her mind, she couldn't summon the courage to ask even one.

The realization stung—after their engagement was canceled, she felt she had no right to inquire about Lin Yuan's life anymore. Whatever he did or whoever he was with had nothing to do with her now.

But as she debated with herself, Lin Yuan suddenly spoke, interrupting her inner turmoil.

"Miss Yan, just a friendly reminder—fasten your seat belt and hold onto your seat," he said casually, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Huh?" Yan Ruyue, who had been lost in thought, was caught off guard. Her brows furrowed in confusion.

Before she could process his words, the roof of Lin Yuan's sports car began to open, lifting upward in a sleek, mechanical motion.

At the same time, the car's speed increased rapidly, the engine roaring to life with an unmistakable power that sent vibrations through the seats.

The violent wind rushed in, hitting Yan Ruyue's face with an almost feral intensity. Her long, silky black hair, now untied, flew wildly behind her, flailing like untamed waves in a storm.

Lin Yuan stepped on the accelerator with force, and the Pagani shot forward like a beast unleashed from its cage, tearing through the night at breakneck speed.

The sudden surge of speed overwhelmed Yan Ruyue. She could feel the world around her becoming a blur, the wind howling in her ears. Her heart pounded as adrenaline coursed through her veins.

"Ahhhh!!!" she screamed, her voice carried away by the wind. The usually cold and reserved Yan Ruyue had completely abandoned her composure.

Lin Yuan couldn't help but glance at her out of the corner of his eye, a faint smirk playing on his lips.

Yan Ruyue, whose beauty was often untouchable and unapproachable, now looked almost comically flustered. Her smooth, delicate face was being ruthlessly ravaged by the wind, making her appear both strange and charming.

Her hair, no longer tied up, whipped around her like the tendrils of a storm, giving her an almost devilish allure.

The usually cold, unflappable Yan Ruyue, screaming and panicking like this, was a rare sight indeed.

Lin Yuan found it amusing. Watching her lose control and seeing her frantic expression felt oddly satisfying.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity to Yan Ruyue, they arrived at the gates of her villa.

Lin Yuan eased off the accelerator, and the car slowed to a stop, its powerful engine purring softly as it idled.

Yan Ruyue gasped for breath, her chest rising and falling as she tried to calm herself. The intense motion had left her nauseous, and she fought the urge to vomit.

She glared at Lin Yuan, her usually cold eyes now filled with a mixture of frustration and lingering fear.

"You…" she began, her voice shaky, but as she felt the nausea rise again, she quickly shut her mouth.

Lin Yuan, still smiling, gestured toward the door. "Miss Yan, you should get off now. Fresh air will help you feel better. Go inside and get some rest."
