'I don't know whether to be impressed or annoyed that you manipulated the system into punishing you just to use its capabilities.'

'Both would be appropriate.'

Their shared mind-space filled with what felt suspiciously like mutual respect.

'Well then,' Zara's presence settled in comfortably. 'If we're going to use the system to analyze our romantic history, we might as well make it interesting...'

'I'm starting to think the real punishment isn't the confinement,' Nala observed dryly. 'It's having you as a commentary track for my memories.'

'Aw, you say the sweetest things! Now, about that time he...'

As Zara's teasing continued, Nala began formulating her request to the system. The analysis would take time, but at least now she had a way to verify the truth, even if it meant enduring a year of Zara's increasingly accurate observations about her emotional state.

'You're doing that thing again,' Zara noted. 'Where you're pretending to be annoyed while actually feeling grateful for the distraction.'

'I am not…' Nala stopped, then changed tactics. 'System, I wish to submit a formal request for memory analysis and verification.'

"I assume you have suggestions?" Elio asked, already familiar with the god's enthusiasm for explanations.

"Do I ever!" Dionz created a series of floating displays. "I see you combined from the same tiers, most people think you have to stick to combinations within the same tier, but that's not actually a rule! You can mix and match from any tier you've unlocked."

Elio's eyes widened slightly. "We can combine creatures from different tiers?"

"Absolutely! Though most don't realize it because they assume higher tier creatures should only combine with their equals." Dionz's grin widened. "But sometimes the most interesting results come from unexpected pairings. Want to see some options?"

At Elio's nod, Dionz began creating detailed holograms. "Let's start with a lvl 30 zinc wolf, the most expensive for you now. Magnificent creature with those enhanced senses. Now, we could pair it with something from the same tier, like traditional combinations. But..." He paused dramatically, "what if we looked at some more explosive possibilities?"

"Explosive would be great for the portal challenges indeed.."

"Oh yes! See, zinc has some fascinating reactive properties. When combined with certain elements..." Dionz caught himself. "Right, right, you don't know chemistry. Let me show you instead."

The god created a new hologram showing various creatures. "First option would be combining with the sulfur komodo. It's a lower tier creature, but don't let that fool you. When zinc and sulfur come together..." He created a visual demonstration that made Elio step back reflexively. "Impressive, right? The reaction creates this brilliant flash of light and massive energy release."

"The komodo controls corrosive energy right?" Elio asked, studying the hologram.

"Exactly! Master of decay and chemical transformation. Now, combining that with your wolf's abilities..." Dionz's eyes lit up. "Imagine a hunter that can not only track its prey with supernatural accuracy but also trigger devastating chemical reactions on contact."

He continued creating displays, showing more options. "We could also pair it with the chlorine fish, that would give you these amazing green flames and toxic clouds. Or there's the nitrogen combo for pure explosive power, though that might be a bit too unstable..."

Elio watched as Dionz demonstrated combination after combination, each with its own unique properties. The god's enthusiasm made it hard to follow sometimes, but the potential of combining different tiers was becoming clear.

"So the tier difference doesn't matter?" he asked, interrupting another of Dionz's excited explanations.

"Well, it makes the fusion more challenging to control the further it is," Dionz admitted. "But the results can be worth it! Take the zinc-sulfur combination. Yes, the komodo is a lower tier, but its corrosive mastery combined with the wolf's abilities..." He created another demonstration. "The wolf's enhanced senses would guide the komodo's chemical attacks with incredible precision."

"Show me exactly what would happen," Elio requested, his interest piqued by this particular combination.

Dionz's face lit up. "Okay, picture this: The wolf's natural ability to track and coordinate, it's pack mentality but enhanced with sensory mastery. Now add the komodo's control over corrosive energy and chemical transformation. When they fuse..."
