 *Nine's POV*

Lysand eventually got Thane to talk and from what we got we're free from danger zone,his brother got lost during a run and that's how they both ended up wherever it was when Lysand found him and all this would have been settled if they had just dropped the testosterone level down a bit rather than the whole act they put up before he got here.

 Anyways, from what I could tell he seems honest and yes,I could thrall him into spilling everything he knows even the subconscious ones but I didn't get the time to prep myself this morning, didn't veil my energy in any form,missed my shielding meditation.

Right now my energy is completely bare and vulnerable as I'm not wearing a scarf, headband or hat not even a braid, I'm not taking any chances

 And then Lysand feels a sense of urgency through the pack connection and excuses himself, leaving me with Thane 

Again 

 Talking about pack connection,I literally feel nothing as there's some unwritten rule somewhere that states that bastards would not and can not be connected to the pack , also it's a kind of family stuff,where family members are strongly connected to the head of the family and then the head of the family is connected to the head of the pack, that's the alpha,so it's like some kind of invisible chain within the pack.

I can only feel connected to Meade since he's the alpha and all he has some cool tricks which he used to connect us because....he said and I quote "I need to know what goes on in there and make sure I made the right choice when I decided not to kill you " thinking I'm some fool or something.

 I'm not sure about if keeping me alive was a right choice but I'm sure keeping me out of the pack connection was the best he could do for his people, cause if I can lay my hands on that chain I know one thing is for sure and that I'm going to traumatize them all.

 "Aren't you going to continue from where your boyfriend stopped" Thane brings me back to reality by reminding me of his awful presence

 He thinks Lysand and I are an item 

Very funny 

 "You must be really bored"I tell him, seeing how he's trying to get me to hurt him or just do something, anything to him

He scoffs "I'm not bored, your silence just seems unsettling, that's all.

 I study him and smile 

"Tell me, if I was to torture you right now, what do you think I would do?" I ask him 

 He stares at me for a while before replying 

"I would've said more of your shadow tricks but I know you know I wouldn't fall for that and besides it's morning and bright everywhere"

 And I laugh 

How typical,

Thinks he knows everything 

"Seriously, it's funny how you were the one who called me dumb last night....."

 "...What if I tell you,none of this is real and you're just living in an illusion"

 "I won't believe it"

"And why is that?"

 "Because right now you're trying to plant doubt in me "

He really thinks he knows everything 

 "You know nothing Thane...I can manipulate shadows right now in broad daylight, it's morning light for goodness sake, how come you don't know that light births shadows,so if I wanted to trick you I would,here and now....." I come to stand closer to him

 "Matter of fact, I'm actually behind you" I watch in amusement as he reflexively tries to look behind him,why is he making this Soo easy?

 "So much for"won't fall for it", don't you think?" I laugh "You're so easy to mess with, too bad I've got work to do..... anyways it was fun"

 And I stand up to leave 

"Why do you think your boyfriend left?"I hear him ask

 Without turning back "And how I'm I supposed to know"and the he chuckles now I turn to look at him 

 "Do you know something I don't, Thane?"

With a smug expression he replies "I don't know"
