This young man who suddenly appeared was none other than Thatch, the future captain of the fourth division of the Whitebeard Pirates.

At this moment, Thatch faced many pirates alone, his eyes showing no fear.

"You guys who only bully the weak and fear the strong, come at me if you can!"

"Little brat, you're courting death!"

John was completely irritated and raised a hand to touch his waist.

On his waist was a silver revolver.

The pirates on both sides had already reacted, sneering as they approached Thatch.

John grinned sinisterly. "Catch him."

He was not in a rush to kill Thatch; he wanted his men to slowly torture him after catching him.

"Yes!"

The pirates lunged at Thatch.

However, someone who could become the captain of the fourth division in the future was far from an ordinary character.

At the moment the pirates pounced on Thatch, he jumped into the air, deftly evading their attack. As they fell to the ground, Thatch stepped on their bodies and launched himself behind John.

John's expression resembled a roller coaster. He never expected that this boy who suddenly appeared possessed such skills.

In a panic, he pulled out his revolver and fired several shots, but Thatch easily dodged each bullet.

The random shooting skills in the pirate world were no joke. Every bullet fired came dangerously close to Thatch's body, creating a thrilling atmosphere.

With the bullets emptied, John quickly scanned the surroundings, picked up a sword that someone had dropped, and slashed at Thatch.

Thatch smiled contemptuously, sidestepping in front of John, who was still unaware of his movements. Suddenly, a fist came flying toward him.

Thatch punched John directly in the face. In that instant, John seemed to see countless stars spinning above him.

With a sudden crash, he fell to the ground, unconscious.

The pirate who had been so aggressive moments before was defeated by a single punch from a young boy, creating an incredible scene.

Seeing this, Larson nodded slightly, feeling increasingly satisfied with Thatch.

When one feels sleepy, fate provides a pillow.

Larson hadn't expected that while he was discussing finding a cook with Pops, the cook would come to them.

For a moment, Larson wondered if all of this was fate.

After all, how could it be such a coincidence that so many crew members of the Whitebeard Pirates met no one else but Thatch at this particular moment?

Seeing Thatch reminded Larson of Blackbeard. In the original story, Thatch's death would be caused by Blackbeard, and thinking of Blackbeard made Larson tighten his grip on the knife in his hand.

Looking back, Larson recognized Thatch immediately, thanks to his iconic hair that resembled a cannon barrel, which reminded Larson of his own struggles in a previous life.

Thatch's appearance marked the second crew member of the Whitebeard Pirates Larson encountered since joining Pops on this long journey at sea.

As a result, Larson's eyes softened as he looked at Thatch, as if he were gazing at his own child.

Whitebeard, noticing this interaction, asked with curiosity, "Do you know this person?"

Larson shook his head. "I don't know him."

Whitebeard choked a bit, though his expression spoke volumes.

You don't even know him, yet you look at him like that?

A smile broke out on Larson's face. "Pops, what do you think of this brat?"

Whitebeard regarded Larson with a peculiar look.

Larson frowned. "What kind of look is that?"

Whitebeard replied calmly, "he is an interesting kid, you sure you dont know him?"

Larson muttered, "Look at his hands. They have so many calluses from holding a knife for long periods of time. I'd guess he's a cook."

Whitebeard was momentarily speechless. A cook holding a knife?

What if he's a swordsman?

"Why? Don't believe me?"

Just by interpreting Whitebeard's expression, Larson could guess the thoughts running through his mind.

"If he's a swordsman, why isn't he holding a sword now? Trust me, he must be a cook!"

Larson glanced at Plank beside him, lightly nudging Whitebeard with his arm. "Pops!"

Whitebeard nodded, adopting a serious demeanor. "I understand."

Even Whitebeard, who wasn't picky about food, could no longer tolerate the situation with Plank.

Now they couldn't afford to be careless when it came to chefs.

"Boss! Boss!"

"No, the boss is messing up! Run away!"

"Run!"

At this moment, when John's men witnessed John being so easily taken down by Thatch, they were so frightened that they scrambled to escape, though they didn't forget to carry the unconscious John with them.

"Nice one!"

Marco's cheerful voice called from the corner.

Thatch glanced at Marco before turning away. He walked to the counter, addressing the trembling tavern owner, "Boss, I've dealt with those guys. You can come out now."

However, to his surprise, the tavern owner became even more frightened by Thatch's words. "Why did you fight them? If they're angry, they will just break things. If you hurt them, they will come back for more trouble! Oh no, my business is ruined! What should I do..."

Thatch looked bewildered; he hadn't anticipated that the outcome would create such a disparity.

"What's wrong with you? If someone helps you, it's fine if you don't thank them, but blaming them in return? Who acts like that?" Marco stood up in anger, annoyed by the tavern owner's reaction.

The tavern owner lowered his head in despair. "Thank you. You asked me to be grateful? Do you have any idea how much trouble you've caused me?"

"Humph, really shouldn't have helped you."

Marco shot a fierce glare at the tavern owner, then turned back to Thatch. "Hey, little brother, do you want to have a drink with us?"

Thatch's expression turned slightly disappointed. "Forget it; I've got something else to do, so I'll head out first."

As he said this, he glanced back at the tavern owner and made his way out of the tavern.
