Chapter 131: rid of the divine and welcome the new 4
Boom!
Splat!
The deer army commander ordered his army into a defensive formation, then gazed toward the direction from which the star came, his eyes penetrating the distance of a billion of kilometers and landing on something that caused him to frown, and his mind to descend into shock for an instant.
What he saw was a giant glowing runic crossbow, spanning a millions of kilometers in length. Around the bow stood tens of thousands of sky clan warriors the size of worlds; the energy intertwined together to form a colossal figure a million kilometers tall, transparent figure, with a pair of cosmic colorful wings on its back, long flowing hair, and piercing eyes.
The figure stretched out its cosmic hand, grasped a nearby star, infused it with multiple true meanings, loaded it into the crossbow, aimed it at his army, and fired.
Boom!
Whoosh!
The star moved at the maximum speed of the material universe, and the space true meaning instilled inside of it allowed it to cover a far greater distance than it should have been able to. The deer commander instantly ordered his army to retreat while defending; the odds were too against him.
While retreating they dodged the incoming star.
Even though he had the numerical advantage, his warriors were just too weak compared to their enemies. One of the enemies was equal to two of his warriors, plus now this weapon of a size he had never seen before. This time, his army successfully dodged the star while retreating.
But how could the sky clan allow their retreat? They blocked them from all angles—left, right, up, and down; the space was fully closed off.
So, left with no choice, the commander ordered his army to break into individual units of three and intertwine directly with the sky clan warriors, thus sinking the war into pure chaos, no formation, no order, just randomness and death.
Now the weapon's launcher would have to be careful, or he might destroy his own side when he shot; that was the commander's goal.
Boom! Splat! Splat!
This chaos didn't bother the sky clan no, instead, they loved it.
For in their eyes, this chaos made no difference, as their enemies were weak, and moving as individuals would mean they got to kill more enemies single-handedly in the name of their god. The sky clan commander's voice rang out,
"Rip them apart! slaughter them! Rid this world of these heretics, in the name of our lord!"
The sky clan army started to blaze with more ferocity, as if hearing about their lord had given them strength, and they began chanting,
"In the name of the APEXION BLACK STAR, DIE!"
"DIE!"
"DIE!"
Their cries echoed throughout the vacuum like thunder, sending shockwaves that slammed into their enemies' minds and dulled their morale.
Boom! Boom!
…
This was a true cosmic war of mind-altering proportions, with every single action and motion occurring either at sub light speed or above the speed of light.
This bloody battle continued for a few days before the sky clan, with their superior paths and formations, completely decimate the deer army. The deer commander stood alone, broken and bloody, in the war-ridden vacuum.
His six antlers were pulled out, half of his body was burnt, and two of his six legs were missing. His dim eyes scanned the vacuum at the sky clan warriors around him, then the countless battered corpses of his kin, and he spoke in a calm tone,
"Today, my kin have lost, consumed by yours… But I do not hate you, for this is the eternal cycle of life. Just as my kin consumed many other species and used them as fuel on our path to dominance…
I foresaw that one day my kin would also be fuel for another species, just as I now foresee that one day your species will also be fuel for another. This is the inevitability of the cycle of life. One must consume fuel and be fuel." His voice echoed for millions of kilometers like an ancient bell. But a second later,
"Nonsense! How can a little bug like you see the grandness of our god? How dare a thing like you wish death upon our god! This is blasphemy of the highest order, a sin worthy of the highest penalty!" shouted the sky clan commander, his voice laced with pure wrath, his runic aura blazing like a thousand suns.
For in his mind, the deer commander's words were targeted toward his god; for his species could only be fuel if his god ordained it, or worse, if his god died.
After he finished, he took a single step and appeared a meter before the deer commander, then grabbed his neck. At the same time, four sky warriors appeared around the deer commander and grabbed its legs, and,
Pull!
Splat! Splat! Splat! Splat!
They viciously ripped the deer apart piece by piece. The deer's blood sprayed like a fountain, staining the vacuum.
The commander raised the deer's severed head to his face, his eyes shining with coldness as his armored spirit flashed from his spirit dimension and entered the deer's.
He was greeted with a bleak realm of darkness, with the deer's spirit standing weakly at its center, its eyes dim and its spirit filled with web-like cracks. He flashed above the spirit, who looked up at him with indifference, and spoke,
"For your transgression, I sentence you to eternal torment."
After which, he pointed his index finger at the spirit and,
Boom!
Thousands of spiritual chains materialized and bound the deer spirit,
Clen-cling!
The spirit didn't react in any way, for from the moment he saw the armored spirit of the sky clan warrior, he knew that all resistance would be futile; plus, he had already accepted his fate…
The sky clan then waved his right hand backward and blazed! The entire spirit dimension lit up in a blue spiritual flame, including the deer spirit. He frowned as mind-rending pain consumed him.
"Ah!"
The sky commander's spirit then exited the spirit dimension and reentered his body.
