Villain: After Intercepting the Female Lead, the Protagonist Collapses

Chapter 361

"I didn't expect anyone in Linjiang City to dare act so recklessly. It seems I need to teach you a lesson on behalf of my father."

"Do you think you can be a hero and save the beauty? Kid, I advise you not to meddle in other people's business!" The burly man looked at Jiang Che disdainfully, as if mocking the idea that someone so frail-looking could save anyone.

"Too much nonsense!" Jiang Che sneered and slapped the man to the ground.

"Kid, you're asking for death!" The man in black's expression turned ferocious as he struggled to get up from the ground. He raised his hand and aimed a vicious punch at Jiang Che's face!

The air seemed to hum with the power behind the strike, giving the impression it carried terrifying strength.

Jiang Che glanced at him, blinking to signal the man to stick to the plan.

The man in black subtly nodded, indicating he understood.

Jiang Che then kicked him, sending him flying.

The man in black traced a parabolic arc and landed near a trash can on the roadside. Thе mоst up‑tо‑dаtе vеrsiоn is оn М4VLЕМР4YR.

"An ant trying to shake a tree, overestimating yourself…" Jiang Che looked at him disdainfully, clearly showing he didn't take him seriously at all.

"Kid, you just wait! The Black Tiger Gang won't let you off!" The man in black struggled to get up, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, uttered a few threats, and then, with his companion's help, turned and left.

"I'll be waiting." Jiang Che didn't chase after them. Once they were gone, he turned his attention back to Wang Yudie.

"Are you alright?" Jiang Che squatted down, frowning as he looked at her.

Wang Yudie's face was pale, and she appeared to be in pain. Her delicate hand was placed on her right ankle, which was wrapped in black stockings and already showing signs of swelling.

"I'm fine… Thank you for saving me." Wang Yudie took a deep breath, shook her head, and looked gratefully at Jiang Che.

She couldn't imagine what her fate would have been if this young man hadn't passed by.

"It was nothing, just a small effort. I'm sure anyone else in my place would have done the same." Jiang Che said with a gentle smile, playing the role of the righteous man.

Though he found it amusing, wondering how Wang Yudie would react if she knew this was all staged by him.

"Regardless, thank you, handsome…" Wang Yudie shook her head with a slight smile.

She doubted many people in this world would have the courage to intervene like he did. Many people might have the heart, but considering their own families, they wouldn't take action.

After all, who would risk their future for a stranger?

"How did you get tangled up with those guys?" Jiang Che extended his hand to help Wang Yudie up, feigning curiosity.

"I don't know, maybe they're old enemies of my father." Wang Yudie frowned, unsure.

She genuinely had no idea who those men were. She doubted they were just after her because she had been sitting in the taxi the whole time and they hadn't seen her face.

"By the way, won't the Black Tiger Gang come after you later?" Suddenly thinking of something, Wang Yudie looked at Jiang Che with concern.

She didn't want the kind young man to get into unnecessary trouble because of her. After all, the Black Tiger Gang didn't seem like a legitimate group, likely filled with thugs.

"Are you worried about me?" Jiang Che looked Wang Yudie up and down.

Honestly, he had worried that the poorly coordinated act might make her suspicious. But it seemed she hadn't focused on that at all.

"Of course, you saved my life. Shouldn't I be concerned?" Wang Yudie gave him a puzzled look, but before she could ask more, a wave of pain washed over her face, and sweat beaded on her forehead.

"Did you sprain your ankle?" Jiang Che glanced at her ankle, quickly noticing the swelling.

"Yes." Wang Yudie nodded, feeling a bit embarrassed under his gaze.

Although the young man hadn't done anything, she couldn't help feeling shy.

"Let me help you to my car. I know some traditional Chinese massage techniques that might help."

"Is that okay…" Wang Yudie hesitated, unsure.

It had been years since she had been close to a man.

"There's nothing to be shy about. I have no ulterior motives." Jiang Che said seriously, his expression sincere.

"Alright then… Thank you…" Wang Yudie bit her lip and agreed.

She wanted to refuse, but the pain in her leg left her no choice.
