"Here comes another thorn in my eyes." The princess murmured with a scorned look in her eyes.

Of course the princess disliked him.

He was known to be the most ruthless among princes and princesses of the empire.

If you asked someone who they wouldn't want to make an enemy out of the most among the royal children, almost all of them would answer with the first prince as their answer.

He had the highest influence in the empire with the largest faction under his thumb.

Most importantly, since he controlled the mercenary sect, most people were afraid of him. He could get them killed by simply stating that someone gave the mercenary sect a request of their name.

Almost half of his faction members only followed him because they didn't want a target on their name.

Also, the sacred clan behind him was the Tang Clan, one of the four sacred clans.

Who would even dare to cross him?

If the second prince had money, then the first prince had strength, having the most number of cultivators under his command.

It had already been an hour since we arrived and even now there were people arriving.

She wanted the event to start already.

"Don't worry, your highness. It's only the ninth prince and the tenth princess left to arrive." I tried to appease her. "I'm sure they'll be arriving soon."

The princess nodded in agreement, calming down somewhat.

I hated this. Why do I have to appease her?

The ones who should appease her are her maids, but she sent them to sit at the back instead.

Now, I have to act like her damn subordinate.

On the other hand, I was scrutinizing all the guest that have arrived till now.

Could that person be among them?

Maybe the first prince is the one I'm looking for or it could be the second prince.

They were the only princes who held the influence to save me from my clan.

Of course, I have already touched both the third princess and the fifth princess and they aren't the ones I'm searching for.

It would've been nice if they were. That would have made my life much easier.

Now I just need to think of a way to touch the royal children.

While I was thinking that, A roar reverberated in the arena, crashing in our ears at once.

Meanwhile, the really strong looked in the direction of the roar, the princess being one of them.

Soon, the roar's effect subsided as I also turned to look the same way as the princess.

"I-It's a dragon!"

I heard someone shout from the crowd.

I also got a good look at the huge beast flying towards the arena.

The dragon was a monstrous sight, its body coiled with sinewy muscle, each movement rippling with raw power.

Its wings stretched wide, casting an enormous shadow over the arena, the leathery membranes shimmering with an otherworldly sheen.

The creature's eyes burned like molten gold, piercing and intelligent, as if it could see into the very soul of anyone who dared to meet its gaze.

Its long, serpentine tail lashed through the air, leaving trails of dark mist in its wake, while its claws, sharp as the finest blades, gleamed ominously.

As the dragon drew closer, I noticed something that made my heart skip a beat.

Perched atop the dragon's broad back were several figures, their forms silhouetted against the sky.

At the forefront stood a man, his stance commanding and unyielding.

He was tall and broad-shouldered, his long hair flowing in the wind.

His robes, pure white and intricately embroidered with silver threads that shimmered like starlight, billowed around him, giving him an almost ethereal appearance.

The man stood with an air of dominance, one foot slightly forward, as if he were the master of the heavens themselves.

His presence was overwhelming, a palpable force that seemed to bend the very air around him.

His eyes, cold and indifferent, scanned the arena below, and a faint, almost imperceptible smirk played on his lips.

Behind him, seated gracefully on the dragon's back, were other figures, their attire equally regal and imposing.

They seemed to radiate an aura of power, their expressions calm yet watchful, as if they were prepared for whatever might unfold.

"L-Look, It's the dragon emperor!"

The same man from the crowd shouted, pointing at the man that was standing in the forefront

"Of course, who would you expect to come on a dragon other than him?"

Another man mocked him, stating his observation as obvious.

"It's good that my ninth brother awakened a low level spirit. I can't even imagine what would've happened if I were to compete with him with the dragon emperor supporting him." I heard the princess sigh in relief.
