Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives

Chapter 768: New Team

Villain Ch 768. New Team

Just as the tension began to dissipate, a new crowd suddenly emerged from the gate, their arrival heralded by the sound of footsteps echoing against the ground. Allen's gaze flickered towards the newcomers, his heart skipping a beat as he recognized Azura, radiating with full HP and Mana. She was accompanied by Arcana, her guild leader, and a priest trailing behind them.

Arcana's eyes lit up with amusement as he spotted Red_King amidst the gathering. "You're surely fast, Red_King," he remarked with a smirk, his tone teasing.

Red_King grinned in response, his usual confidence returning in full force. "Always on the move," he replied with a wink, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Red_King's smirk widened as he chimed in, "Especially if it's about recruiting a skilled player."

Arcana glanced at Allen and couldn't resist a playful jab. "I see you failed to recruit him," he teased, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Red_King shrugged nonchalantly, his competitive spirit evident. "If I can't recruit him, I'm not sure you can," he challenged, his tone daring Arcana to prove him wrong.

Arcana turned his gaze back to Allen, his expression curious. "What's your answer, Godlike?" he asked, his tone tinged with a hint of amusement.

Allen responded with a firm shake of his head, refusing the offer without hesitation.

But Arcana wasn't ready to give up just yet. "We have VirtualValkyrie here," he pointed out, gesturing towards Azura at his side. "You should consider your decision," he urged, hoping to sway Allen with the promise of camaraderie and adventure within their guild.

Azura's flat stare spoke volumes, her annoyance evident as she addressed Arcana's attempted recruitment tactics. "Hey, you said you came to see the situation, not to recruit him," she retorted, her tone tinged with irritation. "Not to mention using me as bait, that won't work," she added pointedly, her frustration clear.

Arcana couldn't help but grin proudly in response to Azura's rebuke. "But there's no harm in trying, right?" he quipped, his tone light despite the tension in the air.

Azura shook her head in exasperation, knowing all too well the futility of Arcana's attempts.

Allen didn't falter in the face of Arcana's persistence. "Sorry, I have to reject it," he replied firmly, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.

Arcana's frown deepened at Allen's refusal, his enthusiasm momentarily dampened. "Why?" he pressed, his curiosity piqued. "I mean, you two are a suitable power couple in this game," he continued, his voice tinged with enthusiasm. "Valkyrie managed to ambush the emperor yesterday, and you managed to land a hit on him today," he pointed out, his pride in their accomplishments evident.

"You just need a good team to support you and a good leader like me," he added with a proud grin, patting Allen's shoulder in an attempt to sway his decision.

Allen couldn't help but hold back a grin as he watched Arcana's dramatic reaction to his refusal. It was like watching a scene straight out of a comedy show, and Allen found himself struggling to suppress a chuckle. Beside him, Azura, Red_King, and Father^Alex exchanged amused glances, shaking their heads in amusement at Arcana's antics.

"No thanks," Allen reiterated, his tone firm but laced with amusement.

Arcana let out an exaggerated sigh, clutching at his chest in mock despair. "Ah, hard refusal," he exclaimed, he voice dripping with melodrama as he playfully dramatized Allen's rejection.

Azura sighed, offering an apologetic smile to Allen. "Sorry about that," she said, her tone filled with affectionate exasperation.

Allen couldn't help but cringe slightly at Arcana's over-the-top reaction. "Your guild leader is surely interesting," he remarked with a wry smile. He hadn't expected Arcana to have such a comical side, especially considering the guild leader's usual serious demeanor.

Whenever Allen had observed Arcana in the past, whether during spy missions or in the heat of battle, Arcana had always maintained a stern and focused attitude.

"Yeah, he can be quite a character," Azura admitted with a fond smile. "But when times are critical, he can be relied on," she added, her tone turning more serious. "He knows how to lead, how to be serious, and when to inject a bit of humor into the mix," she explained, her respect for Arcana evident in her words.

In the middle of the conversation, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching them. A prickling sensation crept up his spine, prompting him to glance to the side. There, amidst the bustling crowd of players, he spotted Sophia once again.

An internal scoff escaped Allen as he observed Sophia's presence. He had assumed that she wouldn't be online for a while, considering their last encounter had been less than pleasant. Yet, here she was, defying his expectations once again.

Deciding to brush off the distraction, Allen turned his attention back to Azura, determined to focus on the conversation at hand. "Are we still going hunting?" he asked, his tone casual as he inquired about their plans.

Azura nodded in confirmation, a hint of excitement in her voice. "Yes," she replied with a smile.

The rest of the group overheard them and eagerly offered to join in. Father^Alex spoke up first. "Can I come with you guys?" he asked, his tone filled with eagerness. "You definitely need a healer, right?"

Red_King quickly chimed in. "If Father^Alex comes along, then count me in too," he declared, his competitive spirit driving him to be part of the action.

"VirtualValkyrie is my member, so I obviously have to join," Arcana stated confidently. "And my healer also has to come along," he added.

Red_King frowned slightly at the suggestion of two healers. "Do we really need two healers?" he questioned, his practicality coming to the forefront. "One should be enough."

Arcana, however, was quick to dismiss any concerns. "Hey, no complaints, okay?" he retorted playfully, a hint of mischief in his tone.

Red_King relented, realizing the importance of having a skilled healer on their team. "Fine," he conceded. "Then he should come too," he said, gesturing towards Bored Hunter, who had been quietly observing the conversation.

Bored Hunter blinked in surprise at being suddenly included in the discussion. "Wait, what?" he exclaimed, caught off guard by Red_King's sudden decision.

Red_King grinned mischievously as he pulled Bored Hunter into the conversation. "You're the one who recorded everything, after all," he pointed out, his eyes gleaming with excitement at the prospect of having a full team for the hunt.
