Villain: Ultimate Mutation System in the Alternate World

Chapter 529: Shocking Declaration

'This old man is so easy to fool. I just played along, and now he's convinced I'm his grandson. I can't believe an idiot like this is the strongest ,'

Reign chuckled inwardly while waiting for Draven to speak.

The Demon God tapped the table, contemplating how best to explain things.

"You probably think I'm an idiot for claiming you're my grandson, don't you?" he asked.

"Of course not. Not at all," Reign replied, feigning ignorance.

"You don't need to lie. Even I feel like a fool for saying it. But we can confirm it once you do what I'm asking."

"You see, before Raiden disappeared, he built a large artifact in the center of this capital. It can only be used by someone related to him. I can use it—and so can you."

Reign hesitated. The chance that he wasn't really his grandson was high.

"And what happens if it doesn't react? What will you do then?"

Draven's gaze didn't waver. "If it doesn't react, I'll accept that I'm wrong. But if it does, you'll have undeniable proof of who you are. And from there we can talk about your future."

Reign's fingers tapped rhythmically against his arm, his mind racing.

The risk wasn't small, but if it worked, he could gain Draven's trust—and those rings he had his eye on.

'I still have the system. I'm sure I can pull this off and make everyone believe I'm really his grandson. Once I get those rings, I'll be more unstoppable.'

'In fact, I don't even need to get the rings,'

Reign thought to himself.

'All I need to do is convince this old man to let me hold them, and then I can use the system to create a copy for myself.'

"By the way, since you're planning to give me those rings, can I take a closer look?" he suggested casually. "You don't even need to take them off—just let me touch them for a moment."

"No," Draven replied, shaking his head. "Prove yourself first, then we'll talk about the rings."

"Alright, I agree," Reign sighed heavily. He just needed to get it done.

A day passed, and the Demon God wasted no time.

People from all over the capital gathered, now standing at the center of the massive monolith.

The structure towered above the gathered crowd, its dark, stone-like surface etched with intricate carvings.

Lines and patterns crisscrossed its massive body, forming an elaborate network.

"Is Demon God Draven going to use it?" one of the demons in the crowd spoke up, pointing at the giant monolith before them.

It was one of the strongest artifacts in the capital, and only he had the ability to use it.

"But why? Are we in danger? I thought that thing was our secret weapon," another demon questioned, confusion spreading through the crowd.

"Maybe this has something to do with the rumors about him having a grandson," a third demon suggested, voice filled with suspicion. "I heard whispers that something big was about to happen, but this… this feels different."

"Whatever the reason, it's clear this isn't just a normal summon," someone else added. "The fact that he's gathered us all here, and now this artifact is being activated... We need to be ready for anything."

After a while, more high-ranking demons appeared, their imposing figures adding weight to the already heavy atmosphere.

The Demon Kings had different expressions on their faces. Some looked annoyed, others showed concern, while a few wore smiles, and some were completely expressionless.

Whatever the alliance leader was planning, it was monumental—something that could affect everyone present.

"Look!" one of the demons shouted, pointing towards the sky.

Suddenly, the space itself cracked open, and nine figures stepped out, each radiating an overwhelming power.

Even the other Nine Demon Gods had arrived, including Visara, Metto, Tara, and Venzo.

The remaining five were from the opposing side of the council.

Their eyes were focused and sharp, as they observed the unfolding events with interest.

As the crowd continued to grow, Draven finally made his move.

With a commanding presence, he stepped forward and made his way to the base of the monolith.

There, a stage had been prepared, a platform for him to address the gathered demons.

On the stage, his presence filled the area, and everyone's attention turned to him, waiting for him to speak.

They respected him and his lineage deeply. The impact they had on demon society was undeniable.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that much of the demons' technology, success, and achievements could be traced back to him and his son.

Their contributions had shaped the very foundation of demon society, and without them, things might have turned out very differently.

As the weight of his legacy settled in the air, Draven's voice broke the silence.

"I know some of you are surprised that I called this emergency meeting when there are more important matters to deal with,"

"But what we are about to do is just as important."

He turned toward the large structure behind him.

"This artifact was created by my son to protect the alliance from external threats," he continued, his gaze fixed on the towering structure.

"I'm sure most of you here have witnessed its power already," he went on, his voice steady.

"It has multiple abilities—defense, attack, and even large-area teleportation. But most importantly, only I can activate it, because it responds solely to souls related to its creator."

Everyone nodded in agreement. It was already a well-known fact.

Many had tried to activate the monolith, only to fail.

Even demon researchers had confirmed that only Draven could use it, as Raiden's soul composition had similarities to his father's—something only a blood relative could share.

"So you might ask, why am I stating something so obvious?" he paused, letting the silence linger.

"Well, that's because I believe I've found my grandson. And if he activates this artifact, it will confirm—both to me, to him, and to everyone—that he is indeed my flesh and blood."

The crowd was silent, stunned by his words.
