Chapter 531: Shocking Declaration 3
Reign had been wrong, thinking the old man was sane to begin with.
Out of all the Demon Gods, he was likely the craziest and impulsive.
"This is madness!" Remu's aura surged, and so did the power of her allies. The combined force was so overwhelming that the weaker demons began to step back, unable to withstand the pressure.
Though they acknowledged Draven as their leader, his actions now humiliated them in front of both the high-ranking demons and the civilians in the capital.
If they let this slide, he would gain enough leverage to take full control of the alliance.
For demons, power was everything, and showing weakness now would be detrimental.
Then, just as the atmosphere reached its breaking point, a demon in the back pointed to the sky, his voice trembling with disbelief. "Look!"
Everyone turned. A massive shadow stretched across the sky. Out of nowhere, a gigantic metallic black dragon appeared, its enormous wings casting a dark shadow over the capital below.
It was so big that the monolith below it looked small in comparison.
Reign stood atop the dragon's head, its scales glistening beneath him.
His appearance had transformed—his human form now encased in draconic armor that looked forged from the very essence of the beast.
In his hand, he gripped a spear with a sharp, triangular blade, crackling with power and etched with glowing runes.
Behind him, a metallic tail swayed, its razor-sharp edges catching the fading sunlight.
The dragon beneath him snarled, its low rumble vibrating through the ground, striking fear into those below.
He raised his spear, his eyes blazing through the visor of his helm.
Why was he doing this?
Because Draven looked determined to prove he was his grandson. If he played his cards right, Reign might actually secure the position of Alliance leader.
Though the title itself didn't interest him, the benefits were far too tempting to ignore.
"Are you certain he's not a Demon God yet?" Remu asked, her voice laced with unease as she turned to her allies.
Her golden eyes narrowed as she scanned Reign's imposing figure atop the massive dragon.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't gauge his strength. The system's cloak made it impossible to measure his aura, leaving her in the dark.
Caurus, the bull-faced Demon , scoffed, though his voice carried less confidence than usual.
"He's just putting on a show. No way a demon king can do all this. It's probably a trick—an illusion to fool us," he grumbled, crossing his arms tightly over his chest.
Remu raised an eyebrow. "A trick? You think a 'trick' can create a dragon that big and cover the sky? That's not some illusion, Caurus. Even you can feel it, right?"
Caurus shifted uncomfortably under her gaze, his grip tightening on his axe.
"Fine. It might not be a trick, but I still don't buy it. Until we see him actually do something, I'll stick with the idea that this is just a display."
Meanwhile, Tara watched the metallic dragon with confusion.
'Did he not take our fight seriously before? Why didn't he use this power then?'
she wondered.
Little did she know, the reason was that he hadn't had time to prepare
In reality, everything she was seeing right now was just for show. It was intimidating, yes, but if they got serious, they could easily destroy the dragon.
"Why are you doing this?" Remu asked, her tone sharp. "Do you and Draven really want to go to war over this?"

"A war?" Reign shook his head. "I'm simply displaying one of my artifacts ability," he declared.
Reign had learned from Draven that his son was a genius at creating such things. To make his own claim more believable, Reign decided to pretend he had the same ability.
"That's an artifact?" Remu asked, her voice filled with disbelief as she stepped closer, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
"You wanna bet?" he asked with a mocking laugh. Then, what he did next stunned everyone.
The dragon began to morph, its massive body disintegrating into tiny metallic pieces that shrank and reassembled into a sleek cape, which then draped over his shoulders.
With flawless execution, he fooled everyone into believing he had used an artifact.
"Do you believe me now?" Reign asked with a grin, slowly descending toward the monolith.
He raised his hand and touched the core of the structure.
Immediately, the monolith hummed, and blue lights began to run along its carved lines, glowing brilliantly.
"No way... it actually reacted," someone murmured in disbelief. "It means he's really Draven's grandson."
The gathered opposing Demon Gods fell silent, their eyes fixed on the monolith as the blue lights pulsed across its surface.
Remu's face twisted in shock, her earlier skepticism fading as she stared at the glowing lines.
"Impossible," she muttered under her breath, shaken by what she was witnessing.
Caurus, who had been one of the loudest in his objections, clenched his fists, his anger giving way to uncertainty.
"This... this can't be happening," he growled, his voice barely above a whisper.
The silence that followed was broken only by the hum of the monolith, and Draven, who had been watching from the side, felt his heart race.
He had suspected for some time that Reign was really his grandson, but seeing it with his own eyes made it real in a way nothing else could.
A wave of pure joy washed over him, overwhelming the veteran Demon God.
His face, usually stern and unreadable, softened into a rare, genuine smile. It wasn't just a confirmation of bloodlines—it was the realization that his legacy was more secure than ever.
However—
Among everyone present, Reign was the most stunned.
He had expected the system to give him some kind of analysis or feedback—something like,
But instead, it had reacted instantly , as if recognizing something that even he hadn't fully understood. His mind raced, confusion flooding him.
'System, why did the monolith react? Did you do something?'
he demanded
