Chapter 650: Godlike Master Part 1

A million-year beast? That was the stuff of legends.

Creatures that old didn't just have overwhelming power—they had wisdom, spiritual awareness.

Even if someone did manage to defeat one, absorbing its ring would normally destroy the spirit master from the inside.

The spiritual energy, mental pressure, and physical strain were too much for most human body to handle.

Only those with divine blessings, special constitutions, or absurdly strong willpower stood a chance—and even then, just one ring was a miracle.

Yet Reign stood there with four. Each glowing with the power and will of beasts that had survived for over a million years. The fact that he bore them so casually was more terrifying than the rings themselves.

"So, tell me...How much do you think my disciple's life is worth… and how much are your own lives worth to you?"

As he spoke, the pressure around him thickened. A force that crushed the will before the body even reacted.

Cold sweat soaked their robes. Even trying to lift their heads felt like defying gravity itself.

Those ranked below Spirit King didn't stand a chance. Several collapsed where they stood, eyes rolling back as they dropped into unconsciousness

Reign didn't move. He didn't need to. His very presence pushed the hall closer to collapse.

One of the Spirit Kings clenched his jaw and forced the words out . "We can pay you… ten million gold coins," he gasped. "That's everything we have. Please… take it."

Blood trickled from the corner of his lips—his body was starting to break just from tilting his head up.

Around him, the others didn't dare speak. They knew the offer was pathetic in the face of someone this powerful. But it was all they could give.

Reign turned to his disciple who was walking up slowly. The pressure didn't touch him intentionally.

"What do you think? Should I let them live or take their gold?"

The young man looked down on the elders. These were the same people who once acted like no one could touch them.

Reign hadn't lifted a finger, but his presence alone had crushed them.

Right now, the courtyard didn't hold warriors. It held victims.

And Kang stood over them, sword in hand, wondering if choosing Reign as his master was a mistake.

"I'll give you one chance," Kang spoke, straightening his back as he faced the Spirit Kings. "Answer my question, and maybe I'll ask my master to let you live."

The Spirit Kings looked up slowly. Their faces were pale, full of fear. No one said a word at first.

Then, one of them gave a small, nervous nod.

The others followed, lowering their heads. Their pride was gone. All they had left was the hope that answering might save their lives.

"I'm looking for a spirit beast," he continued. "She's rare—can take human form. A female with fox ears."

They exchanged quick, nervous glances.

"There… there was a beast like that. We captured a year ago. She had silver hair and fox ears—very strong. Gave us a lot of trouble."

Kang's eyes darkened. "Where is she now?"

"We—we sent her to the main headquarters. They wanted to use her for a new kind of ring fusion. She was still alive when they took her."

His jaw clenched in frustration.

"Kill them, Master," he said coldly. "Then take everything in this place. It'll be the same either way."

Reign smiled, very impressed. "Now you're thinking like someone strong. However..."

"It wouldn't be fun if I killed them myself. So draw your sword and behead everyone here."

Kang's grip tightened around the hilt of his weapon. His jaw clenched, and a flicker of uncertainty crossed his face.

"You hesitate now, but that will pass. If you truly want to stand by my side, you'll need to sharpen your bloodlust. This isn't cruelty—it's growth. Every great warrior starts here. Consider this your first real lesson."

Those heavy words echoed in Kang's head, twisting around his thoughts like vines.

His heart pounded. Part of him wanted to throw the blade down. Another part—one he didn't recognize—wondered what it would feel like to stop holding back.

"Don't make me regret choosing you as my disciple." Reign stepped closer, with an annoyed look. "Weakness can be fixed, but hesitation? That's poison. You either cut it out now… or I will cut you"

SWOOSH!

Reign didn't move, but the air did.

A thin line opened on Kang's cheek. Blood trickled down slowly. He hadn't seen a swing. He hadn't felt a thing—until the sting.

"That was a warning. The next one won't stop at your face." He stepped past Kang, gaze sweeping over the terrified crowd.

"This is your path now. Walk it… or die on it."

Kang stood still, breathing uneven. The sword in his hand felt heavier than ever.

He didn't speak. He just moved.

The first spirit master he faced looked barely in his 30's, kneeling on the ground with shaking hands. There was no resistance—only fear.

Kang's eyes flicked away just before he swung.

THUD!

A head hit the dirt with a dull thud.

Blood painted the ground, but the fun was only getting started.

"Not creative enough. Don't kill them with one strike. Cut their skin and legs first. Make yourself feel it—pain, fear, resistance. That's how your will and bloodlust grow...."

Reign paused, then broke into a wild smile. "Like this!"

SWOOSH!

Thousands of tiny cuts suddenly appeared across one of the victim's skin—thin, precise, but endless.

"AGHHHHHHH" The spirit master screamed, tears streaming down his face as the pain overwhelmed him.

"See that pain? That suffering? You need to take it in—make it part of you. Find joy in watching it. Only then can you truly master my Demonic God Path."

Kang gritted his teeth.

'Demonic God Path.'

There was no doubt now. His master wasn't just ruthless—he was fully committed to a path built on suffering.

And Kang was standing in it.

"Don't keep your master waiting," Reign chuckled "I may be generous—but patience was never one of my virtues."
