Chapter 181 I just want to take a bath
The House of Flowers, in its glorious era, stood majestically alongside the other nine ducal houses, each led by the most powerful in the empire. Among humans, elves, and dwarves, there always existed a mutual respect, as no house considered itself superior to the others. Each played a vital role in the functioning of the empire, and the House of Flowers was no exception.
Specializing in the art of alchemy, the members of the House of Flowers were true geniuses in this field. They possessed a profound knowledge of rare flowers and plants, and their main lineage had produced renowned alchemists. The head of the house, at one point, had reached the rank of Mid-Mythic, but his fall in battle marked the beginning of a gradual decline for the house.
Over the years, the House of Flowers slowly lost power, but the other ducal houses continued to lend them their support. The only descendant of the house was a 25-year-old teenager, who unfortunately did not possess the same skill as his father in the art of alchemy.
However, as time passed, this young man had a son of his own, thus becoming the only hope of his father to restore the family's lost glory. Discover more content at My Virtual Library Empire
Little Leopold Flowerly was seen as the future of the House of Flowers. His father firmly believed that his son would be able to bring back the house's former splendor, carrying with him the legacy and alchemical knowledge of his lineage. With Leopold's birth, hope was reborn for a new era for the House of Flowers.
Leopold watched as the monkey's body filled with bright and intensely luminous flowers. The magic emanating from it was truly rare and strange. The vines winding around its body seemed to have a life of their own, and once they penetrated their targets' bodies, they began their strange process.
The vines expelled seeds that, upon contact with blood, sprouted at an incredible speed. These seeds absorbed the essence of their victims' souls, feeding on it for their own growth. However, these flowers were not friendly; some of them were corrupted by the darkness lurking in the souls of the creatures.
It was a strange and fascinating sight to see a lifeless body surrounded by beautiful flowers that, at the same time, reflected the corruption and darkness within the souls of those to whom they belonged. Leopold's magic was truly unique.

The group led by Anthony continued on their way after facing the E-rank creatures. Their main goal was to find a safe place to spend the night, and as they walked, the two girls began to look at Anthony with a new perspective. They no longer saw him with the same caution as before; the fact that he had protected them during the titan's attack had changed their perception of him.
As they followed Anthony along the trail, Eleanor, in particular, still vividly remembered the image of Anthony exchanging blows with the titan, showing no hint of fear or hesitation. It was an incredible moment, one that deeply moved her and inspired her to want to help Anthony during the titan's battle.
"He's very strong," Eleanor thought to herself, admiring the courage Anthony had shown in battle. She looked at Anthony and hesitated for a few seconds before gathering the courage to ask what she had been thinking: "How did you manage to avoid fear when facing the titan's domain?" Anthony stopped for a moment, and his eyes intensely met Eleanor's, making her shiver under his gaze.
Despite her strong character, she felt tiny in front of him.
"I had a similar experience a few months ago," Anthony replied before continuing to walk. Adelaida frowned, also intrigued by the response: "What was it like?" she asked. Anthony didn't stop moving as he recounted his story: "I was in zone 4, inside a river, when I encountered a titan." Eleanor also felt curious and added, "How did you manage to survive?
I mean, facing a titan as a low-rank is almost suicide." Anthony stopped and turned his gaze to the girls; a charming smile formed on his lips as he remembered Lysandra.
"You see, my wife is very protective of me," explained Anthony, his eyes shining intensely as he thought of her. The mention of his wife piqued Eleanor and Adelaida's curiosity, whereas Anthony's eyes became obsessive and filled with love.
After walking a little further and discussing some topics, the three friends heard sounds of explosions and explosives in the distance. They looked at each other and began to slowly move towards the source of the noise. Cautiously, they hid among the bushes to observe what was happening.
Anthony fixed his gaze on the fight unfolding before them and was surprised to see that it was Edward, Daniela, and Charlotte who were in the midst of the fray. The three were facing a group of students belonging to the star class, and the fight was intense.
Anthony's eyes landed on Charlotte, who, despite her small stature, was fully immersed in the battle. Her face was dirty and sweaty, and she wore her black robe. Despite her appearance, her eyes reflected fierce determination and accumulated hatred towards her opponents.
Every now and then, she cursed at her attackers, which contrasted with her small figure and caused Anthony to struggle internally to contain his laughter at her expression of anger.
"Damn it! I just want to take a shower!" Charlotte roared with her shrill voice, her frustration palpable in every word. Daniela, on the other hand, looked pale and exhausted. Ever since they left the desert, they had been surrounded by a group of rank E creatures. After dealing with them, they suddenly found themselves under attack by a group of students.
The battle had been intense and had consumed much of their mana. With no time to recover, Daniela felt exhausted.
Edward, although also showing signs of fatigue, remained standing, fighting alongside his companions. They had faced a series of challenges without rest, and fatigue was beginning to take its toll; Charlotte showed signs of fatigue too.
"We're screwed," Daniela thought sadly.
