Villain's Valor: A Noble Fantasy Resurrection

Chapter 242 Last breath

The ground trembled under the weight of an impressive manifestation of nature. A huge thicket of vines and bushes emerged, reaching an imposing height of five meters. Delicate thorns adorned each plant, forming a tapestry of colors with orchids and roses subtly shining under the light.

In the center of this floral wonder, green liquid rose and spilled, dissolving the beauty into a fascinating display.

From within the vegetation, hundreds of snakes emerged, their green skin shining with a fierce glow in their small black eyes. They moved quickly and agilely, some slithering among each other while others darted in a straight line toward a common target. In response, a large flower rose from the ground, its petals opening to reveal miles of sharp spikes.

Its petals moved slightly, and like a machine gun, the spikes flew out with surprising speed, some piercing the flesh of the snakes pinned to the ground, writhing in pain.

A woman with snake hair, Adelaide, watched coldly from a distance. The lower part of her body was that of a snake, and her presence filled the air with an aura of danger. With agile movement, Adelaide slid between the trees, releasing more snakes from her hands as she advanced.

The trees themselves came to life in response to her presence, their roots sprouting from the ground to trap the invading snakes. Meanwhile, a humanoid tree-like creature, Leopold, emerged among the trees. His pink eyes shone with intelligence as he manipulated the branches around him, defending his territory fiercely.

The tree rushed forward and its branches began to attack Adelaide. Flowers began to sprout from the ground, and life flourished as if it were spring. Leopold and Adelaide both had their respective bloodlines activated; Adelaide's was Gorgon, and Leopold's was Ents. Adelaide's eyes shone abnormally, fixing on the tree, which in seconds turned into stone.

Leopold emerged from the tree with speed, his pink hair transformed into a small forest, and upon closer inspection, tiny fruits could even be seen.

Leopold unleashed his power over the ground, rapidly causing a layer of lush green grass to sprout. Meanwhile, Adelaide, sensing imminent danger, tried to move quickly to avoid the attack. However, the ground trembled beneath her feet, and sharp wooden spikes emerged, each adorned with flowers emitting a murky smoke.

Despite her efforts to dodge them, one of the spikes reached Adelaide, injuring her snake skin and eliciting a cry of pain. Blood began to flow from the wound, but to everyone's surprise, the grass beneath her not only grew but also gave way to green flowers.

Gorgon's blood! The miraculous elixir of life, with astonishing healing properties for any living being. However, at this moment, Adelaide's blood was insufficient to fully harness its healing potential; her blood was still immature. Adelaide gritted her teeth, her body glowing, and the wound on her healed quickly, her eyes turning slightly red with green.

Alicia released a mouthful of blood as she clutched her broken right arm, her breathing torturous and her gray fur stained with blood. Purple bruises adorned her body, and her eyes remained fixed on her friend Emily, who also panted heavily. Beneath both of them, a small puddle of blood formed.

After a brief exchange of glances, the two disappeared. Emily clenched her fists and moved her feet with determination. Her right fist connected with Alicia's forearm, which she positioned in an X shape to protect herself. Despite the effort, Alicia felt her bones break even more, and blood spilled from her lips.

With her blue eyes shining, she turned her body and kicked Emily in the chest, sending her flying backward.

Emily's body crashed into a tree, and she let out a groan of agony as she felt the splinters of her ribs scrape her flesh. Her knuckles were torn, clearly showing the bones. With difficulty, she clutched her sides and stood up as she released another mouthful of blood.

Both of them breathed heavily; their fight had lasted over 5 hours. Both were almost out of mana; Emily's eyes shone, and she normally intended to finish Alicia quickly to go after her brother and fight him, never imagining that Alicia's bloodline was so strong. With a bit of frustration but in her heart, Emily was satisfied with the fight she had with her friend.

It was very difficult to defeat her; she was very stubborn and tenacious.

She gritted her teeth and began to walk with difficulty. Alicia also clenched her fists; at one point in the fight, Emily's sword had broken under Alicia's claws, so she had no choice but to fight with her own fists. Emily raised her arm, and Alicia did the same; both placed their fists on each other's cheeks.

Emily's blue-tinged claws moved quickly, tearing Alicia's flesh, blood pouring from her mouth as she let out a scream. She gritted her teeth, and her eyes looked at Emily's shoulder; opening her mouth, her fangs sank deeply into it, biting her!

Emily felt her shoulder bones being crushed; she almost lost consciousness. With a quick movement, she grabbed her friend's head and hit it against hers. Alicia let go of Emily and staggered backward, a red liquid falling onto her face from her head. Alicia's eyes turned red, and blood flowed from her nose; she was stunned for a few seconds, fiercely biting her tongue to regain focus.

The two looked at each other again, a bloody smile appearing on both their lips; their teeth were red, and the hot blood continued to flow from their wounds.

Both, with trembling steps, walked toward each other; their footsteps were slow and gentle, drops of blood leaving their path. After a few seconds, the two were close enough. Emily gritted her teeth and raised her arms; the blood loss made her feel extremely cold. Alicia was in the same condition; she also raised her arms with difficulty.

Both hugged each other; it wasn't a tight hug; it was a warm embrace. Their blood was warm; they knelt down while still hugging, Emily's head resting on Alicia's shoulder, and she also placed her head on Emily's shoulder. They closed their eyes, breathing their last breath.
