Chapter 245 Two less
Angela furrowed her brow as she met Anthony's piercing white gaze, and she firmly gripped her sword, its flames glowing brightly. Descending to the ground, her feet touched the cold earth, leaving behind flame marks with each step. Her delicate skin contrasted with the intensity of her flames as she advanced with slow but determined steps.
Every movement of hers seemed imbued with celestial power, and the flames emerging from the ground under her feet did not extinguish for anything. Discover hidden content at My Virtual Library Empire
Finally, she stood before Anthony, and the flames emanating from her body surged towards him like a ravenous beast. Angela brandished her sword, her attack slow yet at the same time too fast. However, Anthony's eyes widened, and darkness surged from him like a torrent. The blade of his sword turned black instantly, shielding him from the onslaught of Angela's white flames.
The clash between both powerful swords generated an intense explosion of energy around them. Black and white flames struggled to dominate each other, enveloping them in a chaotic dance of light and darkness. Anthony gritted his teeth as his body was violently thrown backward by the force of the impact, smashing several trees in his path.
Meanwhile, Angela watched indifferently the outcome of her attack. Calmly, she began to advance towards where Anthony lay among the debris, her beautiful sword wings shrinking but remaining present. Her radiant body of light ventured into the darkness of the forest, where Anthony stared at her fixedly.
Ezequiel and Edward frowned, wishing for the chance to confront the angel of war. However, they decided not to make any moves for the moment, watching attentively to see whom Angela would target. Meanwhile, Daniela, Adelaida, Leopold, and Nicholas let out a sigh of relief at not being Angela's target. They knew that facing her would mean certain death in a matter of minutes.
For a moment, they all remained still, unsure of what to do. On the other hand, Charlotte looked worriedly at Anthony, but decided not to intervene after all, as she had the others in front of her. Secretly, she also sighed when Angela activated her bloodline; it was very frightening, she thought inwardly.
Leopold's green eyes turned cold; he knew he was going to die, but he wouldn't be the first. His hands moved, but before he could do anything, his head was severed from his torso. With a superficial look, Nicholas smiled at him. "Nice try," he said before his body disappeared into the darkness. Everyone snapped out of their daze and went on guard.
Leopold's look was one of incredulity; he didn't even know how he died.
Nicholas's red eyes landed on his sister with a slight smile as he thought about getting revenge for all the times she had interrupted his moments of rest. "It's time to get back for all the times you've kicked me in the sword," he thought inwardly. His body became completely invisible thanks to his stealth ability, making him an extremely difficult opponent to detect and defeat.
Adelaida's pink eyes widened slightly as her body trembled slightly. "Damn! You want to kill your own sister," she yelled with fury as her eyes opened wide and turned cold. The tremor in her body and the feeling in her heart were the cold eyes of a killer; she knew him very well. The snakes on her head hissed; all of them looked in all directions, waiting for her brother's surprise attack.
However, the ground beneath her opened up, and a huge light green serpent head swallowed Adelaida whole.
She looked with wide eyes, her mind going blank as she watched the jaws close; she let out a scream of agony as she was literally pierced by thousands of sharp teeth in her body. The agony lasted for a few seconds; blood came out of the serpent's mouth. In its mouth were pieces of flesh; the blood adorned it entirely.
The snake's eyes turned to shine; it even closed them, savoring the sweet and delicious blood of its sister. Nicholas nodded, and the enormous serpent's head sank back into the ground.
Everyone looked with wide eyes; it was nothing short of brutal, that Nicholas decided to kill his own sister instead of attacking someone else; they knew they were not at all quarreling, in fact, they were good siblings. This left them speechless.
In less than five minutes, two of their friends were killed by one person with one move. Nicholas became invisible and hid, watching his classmates' actions. Although his face showed coldness, inside he was sweating cold. He had to admit that he got carried away a bit by the excitement of the moment.
By killing his sister, not only would he unleash her anger once she left the event, but he would also have to face his mother's fury.
His body trembled violently, and his expression turned pale. Just the thought of having to face his mother's scolding, along with his sister's fierce look, filled him with deep fear to the bone. "I guess I'm going to end up in a coma again for a few days," he thought as his expression became even darker.
Ezequiel had to admit that feeling Nicholas's presence was very difficult for him, but he put those thoughts aside when he perceived how Edward charged directly towards him. He moved quickly with his spear, but the hammer struck it with overwhelming force. Nevertheless, the spear resisted under the immense pressure exerted by Edward.
Meanwhile, Charlotte and Daniela had already decided on their opponents. Charlotte moved her hands, and Daniela, responding quickly, took flight. Her blue wings exploded, creating a defensive field as a fine ice crystal intercepted the huge purple hands intended to crush her.
Charlotte frowned as she watched Daniela move through the air. From her ring, she pulled out a wand, nearly 50 centimeters long. It was black, with a claw at the top, and above it was a beautiful purple stone shining brightly. She smiled with satisfaction as she looked at her personal weapon for this event that she had brought with her.
