Wanda Maximoff Multiversal Harem Hunter

Chapter 47: Just Deserts

The thick jungle buzzed with life—chirping insects, rustling leaves, and the occasional distant call of a bird. Yet for the four Hydra operatives moving cautiously through the foliage, the only sound they could hear was the crunch of their boots on the jungle floor and the pounding of their own hearts. Something was out there. Something deadly.

Eska leaned casually against a towering tree, a faint smirk on her lips as she held a secure communicator to her ear. She was relaxed, utterly unconcerned by the danger lurking nearby. Hydra had sent their best assassins, but Eska already knew how this would end.

"Hydra's trying really hard to make a comeback," she said, her tone light and playful. "They've sent spies, assassins, bribes—you name it. Too bad they keep running into the same problem."

"Jasmine?" Wanda's voice crackled faintly over the line, teasing but curious.

"Of course," Eska replied, brushing a stray leaf off her shoulder. "She's been earning her keep. Honestly, I think Hydra's operatives are starting to have nightmares about her."

Wanda chuckled softly. "Sounds like Jasmine's been busy. What's her count so far?"

"Lost track," Eska said, grinning. "But let's just say Sokovia's a lot quieter these days. I can relax out here in the jungle because, well, I've got her."

Jasmine prowled silently through the dense foliage, her optical camouflage shimmering faintly as it adjusted to the shifting light. Her glowing mechanical eye scanned the terrain, highlighting the four Hydra operatives approaching Eska's position. They moved in formation, their rifles sweeping the jungle, but Jasmine knew they were no match for her.

The first man paused, his rifle raised as he scanned the shadows. Jasmine crouched low, her powerful frame tensed. With a burst of silent speed, she lunged from the undergrowth, her claws extended. The man didn't even have time to scream as she slammed into him, her claws tearing through his throat. Blood sprayed across the leaves as his body crumpled to the ground.

The second operative turned sharply at the sound, his rifle coming up just in time to see a faint shimmer where Jasmine had been. He fired a burst of bullets into the trees, but Jasmine was already behind him. She leaped onto his back, her jaws closing around his neck with a sickening crunch. His body dropped limply, his weapon falling silent.

"Wanda, you would love this," Eska said through the communicator, her tone amused. "Jasmine's been working overtime. She doesn't even break a sweat. She can hunt Hydra agents anywhere. I don't know how she does it."

"Psychic imprint?" Wanda asked lightly. "Or just an overwhelming hatred for Hydra?"

"Probably both," Eska replied. "But let's just say Sokovia's a lot safer because of her."

The third Hydra operative moved cautiously, his rifle trembling in his hands. He could feel his pulse pounding in his ears, his breath coming in shallow gasps. He scanned the jungle around him, his fear mounting with every passing second.

"I know you're out there!" he hissed into the shadows, his voice trembling. "Show yourself!"

Jasmine circled him silently, her glowing eye fixed on his every movement. She let him panic for a moment longer before disengaging her camouflage, appearing behind him like a ghost. He spun around, his eyes wide with terror as he tried to raise his rifle. Jasmine struck swiftly, her claws slicing through his chest. He staggered backward, blood pouring from the deep gashes, before collapsing onto the jungle floor.

The fourth operative, standing a few meters away, saw the faint shimmer of Jasmine's camouflage as she disappeared into the shadows once more. He raised his radio, his voice frantic. "We're under attack! Something's picking us off one by one—"

Jasmine moved like lightning, her optical camouflage flickering as she darted from tree to tree. She was a blur of white fur and gleaming metal, her glowing eye locking onto her final target. The operative fired wildly into the jungle, his bullets cutting through leaves and branches but finding nothing. His panic grew as the jungle fell silent again.

"Please… please…" he stammered, backing away from the shadows.

Jasmine leaped from above, her powerful frame slamming into him. He screamed as her claws raked across his torso, tearing through his armor like paper. Blood splattered across the undergrowth as she delivered the killing blow, her mechanical enhancements humming faintly as she stood over his lifeless body.

"She's done, isn't she?" Wanda asked over the communicator, her tone teasing.

"Of course," Eska replied, glancing down at Jasmine as the tiger emerged from the underbrush. Her white fur was streaked with blood, her glowing eye scanning the surroundings for any remaining threats. "She doesn't mess around."

Jasmine padded silently to Eska's side, her movements fluid and predatory. Eska reached down, running a hand gently over the tiger's head. "Good girl," she said softly. "You've earned your steak tonight."

"She really can sense them, you know," Eska continued. "It's like she knows exactly who's Hydra, even in a crowd of thousands. I don't know if it's psychic or just instinct, but it's terrifying."

"She's the MVP of Sokovia," Wanda said with a smile in her voice. "No contest."

"And you," Eska replied, her grin widening. "You're the one building a sanctuary."

"Not without help," Wanda said softly. "And definitely not without Jasmine."

Eska chuckled, glancing down at the tiger at her side. "She doesn't do it for free. Beef steaks only. Nothing else will do."

"Clearly," Wanda replied, her amusement evident. "I think she's earned a lifetime supply."

Eska leaned back against the tree, her gaze shifting to the communicator. "So, about that base you and Natasha took down. Tell me everything."

"Oh, it was glorious," Wanda said, her grin evident even through the line. "The Hydra commander had this shiny red button, like something out of a bad movie. I crushed it in front of him just to be dramatic."

Eska groaned theatrically. "And Natasha didn't get to blow it up?"

"Nope," Wanda replied with a laugh. "She planted all the charges, but I got to detonate them. She's still sulking about it."

Eska burst out laughing. "Oh, I would've paid to see her face. That must've been priceless."

"It was," Wanda said, her tone smug. "She's been making snarky comments ever since. Something about me stealing her thunder."

"Well, you do have a flair for the dramatic," Eska teased. "And I can't say I blame her. Blowing up a Hydra base is the dream."

As the jungle settled back into its natural rhythm, Eska glanced down at Jasmine. The tiger had finished cleaning her claws and was now lying at Eska's feet, her mechanical eye glowing faintly.

"Wanda," Eska said, her tone softening. "What's next? What's your plan?"

Wanda hesitated for a moment before speaking, her voice steady but tinged with determination. "Eska, there's something I need to talk to you about. Something important."

Eska straightened, her playful smirk giving way to a more focused expression. "I'm listening."

"It's about Sokovia's future," Wanda said. "And yours."

Eska nodded, her voice calm and resolute. "Go ahead, Wanda. I'm ready."
