Wang An Leiji (Yang Leiji) (What If I Was In Martial Peak)

Chapter 562: Family Time (7) & Training Courtyard (1)

Some of my other little siblings came over to the table and grabbed onto their mothers. Then eyed the tea with curiosity. They had an instinctual reaction to the smell, like it had activated their taste buds.

"Don't worry, I made sure to go slow enough that you'd all have a chance to try it before you eat." I chuckled with a warm smile. No one could possibly remain straight faced at such an innocent curiosity.

I prepared a cup for all of my brothers and sisters. While they were all geniuses in their own right, they were still a little clumsy to some degree. So I made sure to use artifacts that couldn't spill the tea if they had any sort of issue.

"Alright, I'll leave you to enjoy your morning. Once you're done and have got yourselves all dressed. Come out and meet in the training courtyard. I'll have your training ready for you." I said, standing up and snapped my fingers to have my daily outfit appear out of nowhere.

"SO COOL!" A few of my brothers and sisters cheered seeing such a quick and helpful spell.

I left the room and arrived at High Heaven Palace's Main training courtyard. Here, in this place many things could happen. Disciples from all walks of life could practice their skills here with fellow disciples. Each helping the other to improve.

It didn't matter if the disciple was of the; Refining arts, Physical arts, or Daoist arts. Here, all disciples had the chance to compete with each other, in whatever way they could. Though death matches were strictly forbidden. There was a separate place built solely for the practice of fighting to the death. It was also where the most healers would congregate. After all there is no better place to practice healing someone, than the places where they would otherwise suffer extensive injuries and perhaps even death.

Once I arrived at the courtyard the disciples currently present were flabbergasted at the sight of me. Even if I was against so much praise of my image… There was zero way to stop the rumor mill. Especially not when my strength goes beyond legendary and even beyond mythology to these people. It was simply an incomprehensible might. It was so much so that they were frozen in trying to figure out how to address me.

"Disciple Greets, Young Palace Master!" The Disciples managed to make a decision as their position demanded.

"Hmm, greetings." I said returning the greetings with a wave of my hand. "I see that caused you all some stress. Worry not, my father is still the Palace Master. So until that changes there will be change in my title within the confines of the Palace." I explained, attempting to alleviate the obvious tension in the air. "Now, my little siblings will be arriving here with the Queens of the palace. Make sure you give them a proper greeting as well. Today will be the first day of my siblings' cultivation training. I expect it to be as memorable as possible." I continued. Materializing over 100 meditation mats.

"Yes, as you command, Young Palace Master!" The Disciples all bowed.

"Good, for now you may return to your practice. I'm eager to see what you've all come up with." I chuckled in a relaxed tone. "Oh and if you have any questions about something. Feel free to ask me if you like." I added, placing 2 furnaces of similar quality down, then another pair.

A disciple of alchemy came running up with curiosity. They recognized the furnaces at a moment's glance. For that matter so did a few other alchemy disciples, though not everyone was free to move given that they were practicing hard.

"Young Palace Master, Disciple reports, these are the legendary furnaces used to make the pills that ensure the creation of new life, correct!?" The Disciple asked in an unusually high pitched voice for a young man.

I smirked, it was rare for someone to be so carefree and interested. "That's an apt way of describing them for sure." I laughed. "Yes, these are my specialty furnaces. I use them to create the pills my parents use. As well as the ones I hope to use some day as well." I answered.

"Such powerful furnaces! How do they work? How much power and focus is needed to use them?" The Disciple asked, as he tried to inspect one of the furnaces.

"Give it a try if you like. You'll understand it better that way." I chuckled, with a motion of my hand.

The Disciple gulped, knowing full well that if something went wrong with normal furnaces… Well, the result would very easily be a pile of useless scraps. He inevitably had to take another look to ensure that I was actually giving permission to try. I nodded…

What happened next didn't take long in the slightest. The Disciple was merely an Origin realm cultivator. His strength had been sapped in an instant as a result. "That was fast… Just how… You'd have to be an Emperor just to survive for a few breaths." He panted falling to his knees out of energy.

"You're quite brave for trying that. I thought you'd actually give up." I chuckled. "Here…" I said, and the disciple's strength was fully restored. "You should be fine now." I said.

"Thank you, this disciple will endeavor to cultivate with new found vigor." The disciple said, giving me a proper prostration. Any further and he would be attempting to declare himself as my direct disciple.

"Hmm, that's good. But I'll need to stop you right there. No more prostration like that. Any more you'd have a lot of jealous eyes on you." I said. "But you have impressed me. So I shall give you a reward for that fearlessness of yours…" I opened a door to my small universe. "Enter with your furnace and once you return you'll have had 500 years of practice." I explained.

The Disciple took his furnace, saluted with a bow and flew into the gate, and then in what seemed like no time at all, he flew out… Older, wiser, stronger and with a couple of jade beauties on his arms.

The look of shock at just how fast that was made the other disciples shocked beyond measure. However, it didn't take long for them to realize that it wasn't that it was actually fast, the disciple had taken 500 years to grow to this point. So the time and effort were clearly made.
