Chapter 571: Changes (3) (Yang Luan)
With a few months passing in what felt like the blink of the eye, I had more baby brothers and sisters. This time though, they came at a trickle over the course of several weeks. Su Yan, was one of the last ones of the first half of my mothers to give birth. This time though, she demanded I be there in the room. And then the day came for her third child to arrive…
With the use of the medicine having worked wonders once again. Su Yan gave birth to another baby girl. There was something different this time. "Oh, she's so precious. She looks healthy…" Su Yan commented, while holding the newborn.
"Hmm, perhaps the practice you and father have diligently kept up with has paid off? Let me see…" I mentioned, as my eyes radiated with a brilliant power. Though it was a strong power, it wasn't destructive or suppressive in nature. "Hmm, with a little more practice I might not be needed. My baby sister is currently stable." I noted, relaxing my eyes. I was quite exhausted after all.
"That's great! Su Yan, our baby girl, our daughter won't suffer the same… Huh? What's the matter Leiji?" Yang Kai said, going from excited to concerned.
"Well, while she is stable now… That's only for now. The moment any imbalance occurs she will indeed suffer that ungodly pain." I said, with a noticeable tinge of concern in my voice. "That means anything. Even something as simple as crying could set it off. It's a miracle she hasn't already gone nuts." I added.
Sure enough like clockwork, my new baby sister moved on her own… That was when the crying began. Yang Kai and Su Yan tried their best to control this powerful internally destructive force but they were failing. Each gave me the go ahead…
With a simple exhale, the crying stopped and her body returned to a normal state. Free of any dangers her eyes opened up with a bright smile at Su Yan. "There, that will take care of any issues for a while…" I said, in relief.
"Hmm? Does that mean she'll struggle with this again in the future? And what about Xingjuan?" Su Yan asked, clearly a little worried.
Fortunately, Yang Kai was a bit more relaxed. This made it far easier to convey they need not worry. "Don't worry about it, Mother. By the time it happens again Xingjuan should be able to manage on her own. I'm also working on a way to help her more long term." I explained. "It would be a different story if I had a little brother. As we would have more similarities. As it is now, my methods aren't exactly perfect for a woman to use. I've never been a woman so… It's quite difficult to make something that would work." I noted.
"Hmm… What about that one Master you had living in your Knowledge Sea. Could she help?" Yang Kai asked.
"Well… It was because of her that I knew how to do this much…" I said, thinking about it rubbing my chin. "The only problem is that, once I broke through she could no longer sustain herself. It's like the connection we had grew so much that we were one in the same. But She has other limitations making it difficult to come up with solutions. So even though I've completely absorbed her, coming up with a perfect solution isn't easy, even for me. What I used just now is the best I have at the moment." I explained.
Su Yan distracted herself by looking at her newborn. "I know you'd give nothing but your best for your sister. Whatever you have to do, do it." Su Yan said, cuddling her newborn. "Yang Luan… She'll be alright because she has the best big brother anyone could hope for." Su Yan added, and then began feeding Yang Luan.
"Don't worry too much. I'll do everything within my power. And if that doesn't work, I'll just get stronger. And if that doesn't work I'll find a way to make it possible." I said, as a hand reached up and pulled me down to Su Yan's bosom.
"I know you will. You love your family. And we love you." Su Yan smiled.
"Hey, no fair! I want to cuddle with mommy too!" Yang Xingjuan said, bursting into the room and running over. She climbed up into Su Yan's bed and found a way to nestle herself in nicely. "See daddy! I knew I'd fit!" She said excitedly as Yang Kai chuckled. "Oh, she's so cute! Hi there! I'm your big sister!" She said, looking at a giggling Yang Luan, with a big smile.
"Alright, well I have to leave now." I said, managing to stand up straight.
"Huh? But big brother, can't we stay like that longer? You're so cozy." Yang Xingjuan pleaded.
"I'd love to, believe me. However, I have something of great responsibility to take care of. It will take me some time. I'll take breaks every once in a while to come see you." I said. "Father and Mothers will be taking care of your training during this time." I added ruffling Yang Xingjuan's hair.
"You'd better not break that promise, big brother!" Yang Xingjuan said, pouting cutely.
"Pfft. Keep up your training and be a good big sister." I said as I vanished.
With my second little sister born, and the need for a more perfect method… I returned to seclusion inside my residence.
"Husband, you'll find a way. I know you will." Huo Lei and my other wives mentioned, through our sense sharing.
Unlike the many times before, something different happened during this shared sense. It was a vague sense of something else.
"Interesting… I think I'll focus on this… I get the feeling it has a high chance of success…" I murmured to myself.
A few months went by with zero contact from me. I didn't respond to anything, nor made any appearances. The worry that something went wrong started to build among many of the disciples. It was so bad at one point that Hou Lei and my wives made a public appearance to reassure everyone that I was fine.
Though, one day…
"Hmm, this isn't what I was expecting. But it definitely solved the issue… I just hope there's no issue when I make my exit. Mother will certainly be surprised." I whispered to myself.
