Most of the duelists in the DM world never would have imagined that dueling in the higher world had evolved to the point where a single card could create an explosive board. And this wasn't just a simple combo; it was a Fusion-based one that led to an ace monster!

As the Ancient Gear showcase neared its end, Professor Crowler and all the students had been completely exposed to the deck's potential. The one-card Wyvern combo that generated insane resources left them all stunned.

"Mamma Mia? This? This is my Ancient Gear?"

"Wait? Am I seeing this right?"

"One card can manage so many resources?"

"And this is a basic combo? An AG basic combo?"

"How come I don't understand any of it?"

Professor Crowler's bewildered words fell upon the ears of the surrounding students, who all turned to look at him with expressions of disbelief. Even Professor Crowler didn't understand? No way! He's the professor! If even the professor who mains the deck doesn't get it, how could they, the students, possibly understand?

"Jaden, did you get it?"

"Aster, did you get it?"

Jaden Yuki and Aster Phoenix asked each other in unison. After they looked at each other, they both smiled. And that smile was an expression that they had both understood the steps of the one-card Wyvern combo.

Yuya Sakaki and Zuzu Boyle were seriously reviewing the key steps of the one-card Wyvern combo. The more they reviewed it, the more they felt the unique and interesting aspects of the AG archetype! A deck that could turn self-destruction into resource generation! That was quite peculiar! And that wasn't all! The archetype clearly had many self-restrictions, but they weren't fatal. Compared to other decks, this one seemed to be a combo-heavy one, but its final board couldn't escape those few Fusion monsters! This was its most fatal flaw. The Extra Deck's aces were too one-dimensional!

An Ancient Gear Link monster? AG actually has a Link monster? Wait! AG's business is quite broad, huh! A Fusion-based deck with no Synchro or Xyz support, but it suddenly gets a single piece of support in the Link era?

But... this card's role seemed a bit repetitive! The first effect was another searcher. The second effect could also destroy one of your own cards, but the difference was that it could make an opponent's monster's ATK and DEF 0! These two effects, for the Ancient Gear deck, were a nice little boost!
