Chapter 182: Chapter 182: Jiang You, the Little Throne of Heroes

As they descended the mountain, Gudako curiously inquired about Jiang You's history and legends as a Heroic Spirit. Jiang You brushed her off, claiming he was still searching for the answers himself, much like that anonymous red Archer currently playing the role of a Hero of the night in Fuyuki.

Soon, the group reached a ridge overlooking the village. The descent was much faster than the ascent, though Gudako's knees suffered for it. Given her stamina from racing Hercules, however, she should recover quickly. Poor Hercules, though—even his Master had to help him keep up.

"We should be able to reach the village before nightfall," Mash said, glancing at the darkening sky. "We've been traveling for so long. Let's rest well once we get back." She longed for a hot bath to ease her fatigue.

As an Archer, Tawara Tōta possessed exceptional vision. He frowned, peering toward the village.

"Wait! There's firelight coming from the village! Countless torches are moving! Could it be... soldiers from the Holy Capital?!"

The news sent shockwaves through the group. Cursed Arm, the village leader, grew frantic. "Serenity, protect Ritsuka Fujimaru. Lady Xuanzang, Lord Tawara Tōta, Lord Bedivere, and Lord Jiang You... I implore you all! Please go and rescue the villagers!"

"We don't need to be told twice! Tawara Tōta, let's go!"

Even the peculiar Xuanzang present, driven by compassion, immediately led Tawara Tōta down the mountain. As a servant who had completed the entire Journey to the West, she traversed the rugged mountain trails with ease, keeping pace with Cursed Arm's leaps across the cliffs.

"If that's the case, Senpai, we should head out too."

Of those remaining, only Serenity lacked the speed to travel quickly, which would delay their journey considerably.

"This is too slow. It's about time we called for reinforcements."

Jiang You prepared to activate his traditional skill, summoning all his max-ascended servants.

Lancelot, Medea, and Illya in her Dress of Heaven form appeared before Jiang You. Serenity and Hundred Faces were absent because their Spirit Origins were already in use. Lancelot could be summoned because Jiang You wasn't using the Saber-class Spirit Origin from the Round Table Knights.

"Ahrrrrr—"

Lancelot roared like a wild beast as he materialized. When he spotted Mash, he abruptly halted, his back straightening.

After a closer look, Mash sensed a familiar Spirit Origin reaction emanating from Lancelot, prompting her to stare.

"No need to doubt it—that's Lancelot, though not from this timeline. His Class is Berserker, so you can call him Mad Lancelot," Jiang You confirmed Lancelot's identity for Mash.

"Master, you weren't lying after all! This feeling... it's definitely from the Age of Gods!" Medea exclaimed excitedly, sensing the magical power in the atmosphere. She was astonished that Jiang You had reached the Age of Gods timeline so quickly.

"Judging by the situation, you probably need my help, right? Just ask. You know where I intend to go after this is over."

"Unfortunately, everything outside this area has vanished. This isn't a complete timeline."

Jiang You saw no need to deceive Medea. Strictly speaking, the 2.5 Singularity technically fulfilled her request, though she would never be truly satisfied with it. He focused on whether he had accomplished his promise. "But don't worry," he assured her, "I'll definitely find a way to take you back to your homeland someday."

Medea felt a flicker of disappointment, but quickly dismissed it. She now had a stable place to live and occasional opportunities to torment Jason, which she found quite satisfying. Recently, she had been planning a solo trip to modern-day Colchis.

"Looks like I'll have to work again," she sighed. "Let's get straight to the point."

"Medea, please help us with Flight Magic."

Even if Medea lacked the ability to cast Flight Magic directly, she could use Reinforcement Magic to enhance their physical capabilities.

"I didn't prepare anything, so it'll be a bit tricky," she said. "But if we skip the protective measures, I can manage it quickly."

Medea nodded. This was far easier than preparing a full-scale magical ritual.

"You kept me waiting too long!" Illya pouted, her cheeks flushed with indignation. She had made her promise during the Duel, yet Jiang You had waited so long to summon her.

"You should still be in class at this hour, right?" Jiang You teased Illya, tugging at her cheek. She retaliated with a flurry of playful punches.

"Anyway, Illya, I need to rely on you again, just like before."

"Mr. Jiang You, you actually possess a Noble Phantasm that allows you to summon other servants?" Mash asked, astonished by the sheer power of their newfound ally. With Jiang You's assistance, they were essentially gaining the aid of multiple Heroic Spirits at once. However, the fact that these spirits hailed from different eras and regions left her utterly bewildered.

"We can discuss the details later. Right now, there's something more urgent," Jiang You replied, his memory gradually returning. He typically only remembered the major plot points, but witnessing the scene firsthand dredged up forgotten details from the depths of his mind. If he was right, the Lion King's Holy Lance, Rhongomyniad, was already aimed at the village and would likely be unleashed after nightfall. His own Noble Phantasm couldn't reach Artoria, who was still in Camelot; he had to reach the village before that happened.

If possible, Jiang You mused, I'd also like to test who gets pulled into a duel when attacked from extreme distances.

"It's ready!" Medea announced, handing out cloaks similar to her own. "These are enchanted with weight-reduction and levitation spells. Just infuse a little magical power to activate them. But I didn't have time to add defensive enchantments, so be careful not to get hit—you'll fall straight down."

Gudako, though a novice in magic, had some experience. The cloaks reminded her of Chaldea's uniforms, which were designed with auxiliary magic functions. As a Demi-Servant, Mash was also familiar with magical power. Both quickly grasped the technique and floated into the air. Their speed wasn't impressive—Jiang You could easily outpace them on foot—but the straight-line path significantly shortened their travel time.

"Amazing! This feels even better than something Da Vinci-chan herself would make!" Gudako exclaimed, genuinely impressed by the novel experience.

"Senpai, Da Vinci-chan will be furious if she hears you say that. She might stop giving us discounts!" Mash warned, more concerned about Da Vinci's potential retaliation.

Medea watched Jiang You bouncing awkwardly on the ground with a sigh. She channeled magical power into his cloak, lifting him into the air. "That child clearly hasn't even been exposed to magic for a year. How can a Heroic Spirit like you be outdone by her? You should give up being a Caster. With your intermittent flashes of brilliance, you'd be better suited as a Berserker."
