"I'll go first!" Mordred declared, seizing the initiative.

"First, I activate the Spell Card, 'Birth of the Destined Rebellion'... What kind of bullshit name is this supposed to be?"

It was no surprise that a Noble Phantasm capable of forcibly imbuing knowledge could enable even Mordred to dive straight into a Duel.

"What's this 'destined rebellion' crap? More of that damned 'fate' garbage? Are you mocking me?"

"It's already happened. Why dwell on it? You wanted a card called 'Heir to King Arthur' too, didn't you?"

Jiang You pointed out that he hadn't created the card himself. "Don't take your resentment towards Merlin out on me. My reputation as a Caster is already suffering enough."

Mordred hesitated briefly before revealing the remaining effect.

"A special attack against Artoria? That makes perfect sense."

After all, this was the sword used to backstab My King.

"Enough talk! Next, I activate the Continuous Spell Card, Rampaging Blessing! This card's activation cannot be negated, and no effects can be activated in response to its activation!"

This was the final battle for Camelot, and neither side could afford to retreat. They would fight to the bitter end, until the last drop of blood had been shed.

"There's another effect," Mordred explained earnestly, dutifully reciting every detail of her card's ability. "Once per turn, during my turn, I can select one of my 'Knights of the Round Table' on the field and then target one of your servants. Both servants are then destroyed."

This effect, combined with Rampaging Blessing, allowed her to destroy cards essentially without cost.

"Of course, this card also has a drawback," she continued. "At the start of my turn, I must send a 'Knight of the Round Table' from my deck to the Graveyard to maintain it. Otherwise, this card is destroyed."

"No, that can't really be considered a drawback," Jiang You countered. After all, in modern day yugioh, having free cards in the graveyard are more of a boon.

"What nonsense are you spouting?!" Mordred snapped at Jiang You. "Isn't sacrificing your own comrades one by one for victory despicable enough?! Do you have any idea how much resolve it took me to use this card?!"

Cards were more than just pieces of cardboard; they represented echoes of history, and most servants seemed deeply invested in this aspect, making it impossible to treat them as mere game pieces.

Mordred seemed to loathe the idea of setting a card, reluctantly placing one in her back row.

"Finally, I'll set a card in my back row and end my turn."

"My turn! Draw!"

Since Mordred could be targeted, there were plenty of ways to deal with her. Jiang You could even summon monsters to overpower her, as long as he dealt with the set card in her back row first.

"I activate the Spell Card [ Name of Hassan ]! Once per turn, I can search my deck for a Hassan Sabbah card. I choose [ Hassan of the Shining Star ]!"

This was a reward from a previous ritual duel. By sacrificing Life Points, it granted a 2000-point Attack Power boost. Combined with other cards, it would easily exceed 4000 Attack Power—perfect for the current situation.
