When a God of Destruction Was Reincarnated in Tensura:

Chapter 175: Luminous vs. Piccolo – The Battle of Shadows and Light

As the dust settled from Gohan and Ramiris' battle, a hushed anticipation filled the battlefield. The tension was palpable, with the air thick with power resonating from the remaining warriors. Our spectators turned their atte tion to the next fight, one that promised a clash of two completely different yet equally dangerous fighting styles—Luminous Valentine vs. Piccolo.

From one side of the battlefield, Luminous gracefully stepped forward, her regal presence commanding attention. Dressed in an elegant yet battle-ready gown, her silver hair shimmered under the artificial starlight of Beerus' constructed arena. Her ruby-red eyes gleamed with amusement as she observed her opponent.

On the other side, Piccolo walked forward, his green skin illuminated by the flickering lights of the battlefield. He cracked his knuckles, his sharp eyes locked onto Luminous, already analyzing her movements. His long Namekian cape swayed slightly in the breeze, and he slowly removed it, tossing it aside with a thud that cracked the ground.

From his throne, Beerus smirked. "This will be interesting. Luminous is one of the most dangerous magic users in the Cardinal World."

Whis nodded, twirling his staff. "And Piccolo is one of Universe 7's most brilliant tacticians. He might not be the strongest in raw power, but his intelligence and adaptability make him formidable."

One of Beerus' wives, Zerna, leaned forward. "The Queen of Temptation vs. the Strategist… This should be entertaining."

Beerus lazily lifted his hand and snapped his fingers. The moment the sound echoed, Luminous and Piccolo vanished—teleported directly into their designated battlefield.

The arena shimmered as their surroundings transformed into a gothic cathedral bathed in moonlight. Towering pillars stretched into the sky, casting long shadows. The entire battlefield was eerily silent, save for the distant echo of dripping water.

Luminous smiled. "Fitting, don't you think? A battlefield bathed in eternal night, a perfect place for a Queen of Vampires."

Piccolo didn't flinch. "I don't care where we fight. Show me what you've got."

Luminous snapped her fingers, and instantly—

The darkness moved.

Shadows writhed and extended, forming countless blackened hands that shot toward Piccolo at blinding speed.

Piccolo jumped backward, narrowly avoiding them as he fired multiple ki blasts, trying to dissipate the shadows. But the dark tendrils simply absorbed the energy before surging forward again.

Piccolo gritted his teeth. "Energy absorption, huh? Not bad."

Suddenly, he disappeared.

Luminous' eyes widened. "Oh?"

Behind her—

Piccolo reappeared, his arm stretching out like a whip, aiming to grab her. But just as his elongated arm neared, Luminous vanished into a cloud of red mist.

BOOM!

Piccolo's attack smashed into the ground, sending debris flying everywhere. But Luminous materialized above him, her hand glowing with dark energy.

"Darkness Calamity."

A massive blast of corrupt energy erupted from her palm, slamming into Piccolo and sending him careening through multiple pillars.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

Piccolo barely had time to react, but his regeneration kicked in almost instantly. He flipped mid-air, landing on his feet, his eyes narrowing.

Luminous smirked. "Impressive. Most would have been obliterated by that."

Piccolo wiped a trickle of blood from his mouth. "I've been through worse."

Piccolo took a deep breath. If raw energy wouldn't work against her, then he needed a new plan.

In a flash, he clasped his hands together, focusing his Ki.

Luminous tilted her head. "What are you planning?"

Piccolo grinned. "Let's see how well you handle my illusions."

Luminous blinked—and suddenly, the battlefield changed.

Multiple copies of Piccolo surrounded her from all directions, each radiating the same energy signature.

Luminous chuckled. "Trying to confuse me with illusions? Adorable."

She extended her fingers, and hundreds of spears of crimson light shot forward, piercing through the illusions effortlessly.

But Piccolo was already moving.

Above her—

He descended like a missile, his fist glowing with charged Ki.

"TAKE THIS!"

BOOM!

His punch connected with her barrier, shattering it, and sent her crashing through the floor of the cathedral.

But as he landed, he felt it—

A shift in the air.

A whisper of temptation in his mind.

"Why do you fight, Piccolo?"

Piccolo's eyes widened as Luminous' voice echoed in his mind.

The world around him blurred.

Suddenly, he was standing on Planet Namek.

He saw his younger self, his past battles, his failures. He saw Gohan as a child, crying out for his help.

He clenched his fists. "This… is fake."

A soft laugh echoed. "Are you sure? You could stay here, you know. Relive your greatest memories. No more fighting, no more pain."

From the stands, Beerus chuckled. "Ah, her Queen of Temptation ability. This might be troublesome for him."

Whis nodded. "It preys on the mind, making you see and feel what you desire most."

But Piccolo gritted his teeth.

"ENOUGH!"

His aura exploded outward, shattering the illusion instantly.

Luminous gasped. "You resisted it?!"

Piccolo smirked. "I've had my mind messed with before. I know how to break free."

Before she could react, Piccolo placed two fingers on his forehead, his Ki focusing into a single piercing point.

Luminous' eyes widened. "No—"

"MAKANKOSAPPO!!"

A brilliant golden beam of spiraling energy shot forward, piercing straight through the battlefield.

BOOOOOOM!

The explosion that followed shook the entire arena, sending shockwaves through the stands.

As the smoke cleared, both warriors stood amid the battlefield, their bodies battered, their breathing heavy, but their wills unshaken. The gothic cathedral around them bore the scars of their fight—crumbling pillars, shattered stained glass, and deep cracks in the stone floor. The eerie glow of the crimson moon above bathed the battlefield in an ominous light.

Piccolo's sharp Namekian eyes remained locked onto Luminous, his muscles tensed, ready for another round. His green skin was scorched in places, but his regeneration had already kicked in, slowly restoring his form.

Luminous wiped a trickle of blood from her lips, her regal stance unwavering. She grinned.

"I must say, Piccolo, I underestimated you. I assumed you'd crumble under my Queen of Temptation ability."

Piccolo rolled his shoulders, shaking off the lingering effects of her illusion. "I've been through worse. Your tricks won't work on me again."

"Oh?" Luminous' smile widened, her crimson eyes gleaming with amusement. "Then let's see how well you handle raw power."

She raised her hand, and suddenly—

The entire battlefield shifted.

The shadows around them writhed violently, growing tendrils of pure darkness that slithered and cracked the stone beneath them. A massive surge of dark energy erupted, forming a storm of black lightning crackling around her form.

Piccolo braced himself. "Tch. Here we go."

Luminous vanished.

Before Piccolo could react, she reappeared behind him, her palm radiating a dense orb of condensed dark energy.

"Oblivion Pulse."

The attack exploded point-blank, sending Piccolo hurtling through the air. He twisted mid-flight, barely managing to regain his footing, but—

Luminous was already on him.

She teleported again, appearing at his side. Her elegant hands blurred as she unleashed a rapid flurry of strikes, enhanced with dark magic. Each blow sent waves of shockwaves through the air, cracking the very fabric of space.

Piccolo barely blocked the first few strikes before—

BAM!

A vicious kick to the gut sent him crashing into a broken cathedral pillar. Dust and rubble rained down as he gasped for air.

From the stands, Beerus smirked. "She's fast. Faster than I expected."

Whis nodded. "Indeed. And more relentless than she lets on."

Piccolo gritted his teeth and quickly regained his stance. He stretched his arms outward, charging a massive Ki blast in each hand.

"Take this!"

He launched two massive Ki blasts toward her.

Luminous raised a single finger.

A dark barrier materialized, absorbing the attack completely.

Piccolo's eyes widened. "Tch—"

Luminous flicked her wrist.

Suddenly, the absorbed energy was redirected back at him—but multiplied in power. A massive wave of black and purple energy surged forward.

BOOOOOOM!

Piccolo crossed his arms, tanking the hit, but the sheer force sent him skidding back, his feet tearing through the stone floor.

Before he could recover, Luminous raised her hands to the sky—

"Moonlight Cataclysm."

The crimson moon above them flared brightly, and hundreds of blood-red energy spears rained down from the heavens like a divine judgment.

Piccolo jumped, twisted, and dodged, avoiding most of the attacks—but several pierced through his limbs, pinning him momentarily.

His regeneration kicked in again, but—

Luminous was already above him, her hands forming a large sphere of condensed dark magic, swirling with chaotic energy.

"This is the end, Piccolo. Eternal Midnight."

She released the attack, and the entire battlefield was swallowed in a cataclysmic explosion of darkness.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

The shockwave rippled outward, shaking the very core of the constructed arena.

For a moment—silence.

Then, as the smoke cleared—

Piccolo lay on the ground, his body covered in burns, his energy completely drained. He tried to push himself up, but—

His arms gave out.

Luminous slowly floated down, her gown untouched, her expression composed. She tilted her head.

"You fought well, Namekian."

The battlefield shifted back to normal, the gothic cathedral dissolving as the arena returned to its original form.

Beerus leaned forward, grinning. "Now that was entertaining."

Whis smiled. "Luminous Valentine takes the victory. A battle of wit, power, and sheer magic dominance."

Piccolo grunted as he managed to sit up. He looked at Luminous and smirked. "Not bad… for a vampire."

Luminous chuckled. "Likewise, for a green warrior."

With that, the fight concluded, and attention shifted to the next battle.
