Chapter 4: Alone with Robb
I was taking a solo flight, as I always did. Glancing down, I saw a small figure on the ground. I commanded Feiro to land so I could see who it was. Once we landed, I noticed that it was Robb. "Robb, what are you doing out here?"
Robb smiled. "I want to see you." His brown eyes shone with a calm I had never known since losing my parents. "I just want to make sure that you were ok."
I blushed. "I'm doing alright. Flying has always cleared my head. Feiro was never used to the cold. Dragons are made of fire so a place like the North isn't some place that they are made for." He's only 16 and why is it only now that I'm realizing something is calming about him? Am I falling in love with him? Could the Wolf and Dragon be together? I thought to myself.
Robb reached my hand. "Can I ask you something, Katherine?"
I nod. "Of course."
"How are you liking the North? I know it's not what you are used to but could you see this kingdom being your home?"
I sighed. "I don't have much of a choice. If King Robert gets word that a dragon is still alive I couldn't be hunted down and killed."
"My father wouldn't allow that to happen. You are safe here at Winterfell." Robb said gently.
I let go of his hand. "You can't promise that. My house for the longest time was on the House Targyen's most loyal families."
Robb nodded. "We all were at one time in history. But I swear to you, so long as I live you will not suffer at the hand of King Robert."
A horn blow-cutting through the bustling keep. The hooves of horses could be heard in the distance and shouts of men. King Robert was on his way to visit the North. I knew that I would not be welcome to see the king. I was not a northerner. Dragon Hall was a small keep just west of King's Landing and was usually ignored.
Robb could sense my uneasiness. "It's going to be ok. I'll be with you."
I shake my head. "No, Robb. If he sees Feiro or me he'll order to shoot."
