Chapter Ten: The Maturity Stage - Part Two

However, there was another question running through my mind during this period.

What happened to the father and why did my mother always avoid talking about him and describe him as not being a real dragon and that he never was?

Nevertheless, I had a feeling that I was missing something. Something was wrong with me, something was missing.

As time went on, this feeling grew stronger and stronger, until I started hallucinating that there was someone talking non-stop in my mind. Urging me to change the way I acted. Sometimes I swear I hear a voice in my mind saying that if I don't change my thinking and behavior, I will lose everything. It was like a warning from the future.

It was like a voice whispering in my heart, telling me, "You are not the chosen one, you are the victim."

Still, I clung to the idea that I was the chosen one. I am the protagonist in this world. I am the being that no one will be able to destroy. I have great luck, and I have the aura of the protagonist.

Why should I fear what will happen in the future? I will face it with a smile, a wide smile.

Time passed, and in the blink of an eye, 10,000 years passed.

During these 10,000 years, I learned a lot about humans in this world. There are two paths of training in this world.

The first is to awaken the element and walk the path of the Elemental Master.

The second is to awaken the Battle Spirit and walk the path of the Spirit Master.

This path is better than the Elemental Master path, as it differs in that it doesn't require the essence of elements from dead spirit beasts.

However, in this path, there are only two ways for a person to become strong.

The first method is to kill spirit beasts and absorb their souls and the soul essence they left behind, forming the soul essence.

The second method is to form a voluntary spiritual contract with a spirit beast. Through this method, the beast will not die, but will become a part of the Spirit Master, allowing them to form the soul essence.

In any case, neither path is good for spirit beasts. Both require the consumption of spirit beasts as a core element for humans to become stronger; they need to kill spirit beasts.

Even if the method of forming a spiritual contract allows the spirit beast to continue living, it is pointless to live in someone else's body.

In fact, the place where I live is part of a continent called the "Spirit Continent," and this continent is one of three continents in this world.

Thousands of years ago these continents merged to form one continent, and it was not as I was told that this world had regained spiritual energy, but rather it was an ordinary continent controlled by humans until it merged with the other two continents.

This led to the formation of the local world and the emergence of forbidden areas.

I live in the far north, one of the regions that was formed due to the merging of these continents into one and the formation of a single continent. There are also three other regions similar to this one.

Spirit beasts dominate these regions, which are known for their vastness and diverse, rare resources.

The nearest region to me is the "Star Forest," which is controlled by the "Fae" race. The Fae are a race that resembles humans in their physical form, but they are not humans, and they can be distinguished from humans by the wings on their backs. However, they share the Star Forest with spirit beasts, and because of this, humans classify them as beasts.

There are many species in this world, some of which are classified as unknown species, and some are still undiscovered.

Also, there are two types of beasts: spirit beasts and magical beasts.

Magical beasts rely on energy such as mana, and this type of beast is widespread, especially in the eastern part of the continent. They are more numerous than spirit beasts because humans did not focus on hunting them as much as they focused on hunting spirit beasts. However, no one knows why this continent merged together and formed the current world

However, over these ten thousand years, I have had a lot of fun, especially since my relationship with the Green Star Ice Scorpion Empress has seen a lot of development, as well as with the Heavenly Snow Empress, although it is not the same as the development that happened with the Ice Scorpion Empress.

During this time, my way of thinking changed a lot, and I even began to hallucinate about Aislinn, about making her my future marriage partner.

As for my mother, she has already broken through to one hundred thousand years and is now preparing for her next breakthrough.

Anyway, my research on why humans are killing the dragon race has not progressed and I have not found any information about this matter.

Even the Heavenly Snow Empress and the Ice Empress do not have any information about this matter.

So I let it go until I find something that will light me up to the truth.
