Wizard Bloodline

Chapter 286: Chapter 286: Secret Technique—[Annihilation of Winter: Flicking the Snow Kingdom]!

"Consciousness Projection?"

That must be it.

The Wizard Robe he wore, the Ithium attached to his body, and the space ring were all left outside with his physical body. Only his consciousness had entered the Trial Tower.

Ronan tried to call out to Alazan but received no response.

"Several Soul Runes are still intact, but one Mental Power Crystal is missing, and the strength of my mental power has regressed to around the level of the second purification..."

Ronan frowned slightly.

He examined his current "consciousness projection," which was almost identical to his original body, with many details replicated. However, the body felt "empty" inside—there was no life sphere of the Immaculate Body, no blue spiral of the Second Spiral Palace, and no sacred tree array of bloodline evolution on the heart. Only ten Mental Power Crystals remained, along with the incomplete storm patterns growing within his flesh and bones.

Ronan attempted to channel his mental power and found that he could still effortlessly achieve Spell resonance. Energy particles continuously gathered around him.

While he was still familiarizing himself with his current state and hadn't even had the chance to survey his surroundings, a cluster of blue light suddenly erupted beneath his feet, surging upward like a fountain.

Ronan instinctively flew upward, and immediately saw the blue light rapidly expand. Waves of water spilled out from within the light, and in the blink of an eye, it transformed into a vast, azure sea.

Under the clear blue sky, gentle waves rippled, and a warm sea breeze blew toward him, carrying a faint salty and damp scent. In the distance, the cries of seagulls echoed—everything felt incredibly real.

Before Ronan could marvel at the realism of this consciousness space, a massive water sphere rose from the sea directly in front of him. The water surged and quickly condensed into a giant blue fish with two tails.

A wizard rode on the back of the giant fish, his features indistinct, holding a blue staff formed from water. The staff radiated the aura of a peak late-stage third-level wizard.

"Surubana..."

As soon as the wizard on the giant fish appeared, he uttered the syllables of a Spell incantation.

With the release of the Spell's fluctuations, twelve thick water columns immediately rose from the sea around him. Like intertwining vines, they coiled and twisted together, eventually forming a massive hand made of water. With a thunderous roar, the hand lunged toward Ronan.

The colossal water hand was surrounded by dense auras of the law domain, creating walls of water dozens of meters high along its path. At the same time, the two-tailed giant fish let out a low, bellowing sound, its tails flicking as it charged forward, compressing the air in its wake.

"Still a two-stage law domain resonance..."

Ronan's eyes flickered, and his lips moved slightly, though no sound came out.

In his mind, the ten Mental Power Crystals simultaneously emitted light. He spread his fingers downward, and the sea beneath him instantly froze at the points where his fingers touched. An endless surge of frost energy rose upward.

Large amounts of frost condensed into the shape of long, narrow ice blades. Ronan's hand clenched into a fist and lifted upward, as if pulling the ice blades filled with killing intent and icy coldness from the frozen sea.

[Peerless: Extreme Frozen Weapon]! The ancient ice blade, with its narrow, ice-blue blood groove, quickly ascended into the air. The blade trembled slightly, emitting a clear, crystalline sound like the collision of glass.

In the next moment, the massive Spell ice blade vanished, replaced by the sudden spread of frost flowers in the void and the sharp trajectory of the blade twisting rapidly like a black snake— "Swish—"

The frost-entwined blade scar tore through the sky.

The hundred-meter water wall lying horizontally in front of Ronan silently split from the middle to both sides, starting from a smooth, mirror-like cross-section, inch by inch freezing into an ice wall.

Passing through both sides of Ronan's body, it finally exploded into countless ice dust hundreds of meters behind him.

Also frozen were the giant double-tailed fish suspended in mid-air and the third-level water wizard chanting with a staff behind the fish.

Both had turned into ice sculptures at some point, lifelike, refracting a hazy brilliance in the sunlight.

Then all the dreamlike colors shattered, and crisscrossing cuts appeared on the bodies of the third-level wizard and the giant fish, collapsing in an instant into countless ice fragments falling towards the sea below. "Hum—"

At this moment, the previously disappeared slender ice blade reappeared, spewing frost as it flew back, rapidly shrinking.

Finally, it transformed into a delicate ice knife, only an inch long, as if carved from pure ice crystal, hovering and spinning continuously above Ronan's palm, trembling and humming.

Even though his Mental Power cultivation was somewhat suppressed, with the foundation of ten Mental Power Crystals and secondary purification, plus the Extreme Frozen Weapon that had long entered the third-stage law domain resonance, it was still a relatively easy task for Ronan to instantly kill a third-level wizard.

Thanks to his recent practice in the [Ancient Star Meditation Technique], Ronan's control over Spells had improved by several levels, even allowing him to compress the terrifying ice blade into a small knife a few centimeters long, with the terrifying aura of the third-stage resonance entirely confined within his palm.

"It seems the Spell Tower tests the purest casting ability of the challenger, isolating any external assistance," Ronan thought.

"Every wizard entering the trial tower is reassigned basic strength.

My Mental Power intensity and the number of Mental Power Crystals far exceed the limits that a normal third-level wizard can achieve.

That's why I'm restricted to stepping into the Mist Forbidden Zone (ten Mental Power Crystals) and the level of secondary purification."

Ronan pondered briefly and roughly understood the basic idea of this trial.

The third-level wizard he had just instantly killed was actually not weak in combat power; even a peak third-level wizard would find it troublesome, especially since this battlefield was set on the sea, most suitable for water Spells.

However, his hard power far exceeded that of his opponent, and even after being forcibly "nerfed," he felt no pressure at all.

As he was thinking, a small patch of seawater at the spot where the water wizard had "died" suddenly began to boil, and hot magma erupted from the sea.

Following that, a fiery red spot rapidly expanded, quickly covering the original azure, and in the blink of an eye, the world transformed.

The once steam-filled ocean turned into an endless, scorching red volcanic magma region.

Ronan narrowed his eyes to examine this extreme transformation of the scene, gently wiping the fine beads of sweat from his forehead and temples.

Without the enhancement of the [Immaculate Body], he even felt the intense heat unbearable, showing just how harsh the current environment was.

"Was it because you discovered my proficiency in ice magic that you switched the scene to a fire wizard's domain?"

In the distance, magma and flames converged once more, and soon, the figure of a wizard riding a two-headed fire lizard, exuding an intense aura of scorching fire magic, materialized.

Without any preparation or buildup, as soon as this new fire wizard opponent appeared, he immediately began summoning fire magic.

A blinding, fiery red distortion in the void accompanied by a wave of scorching heat surged forward. Ronan raised his hand and sketched out several diamond-like radiant slices of light, yet he still felt a searing, burning pain in his brain.

A mental elemental attack.

The strength of this round's opponent had directly escalated by a level, reaching the tier of a fourth-level Dawn Wizard! "Interesting."

Ronan took a light breath, his face showing little fluctuation.

This was the first time he had experienced such a "deliberately targeted" wheel battle, where his own strength was continuously weakened in various aspects while the opponent grew stronger. This extremely unfavorable combat situation, instead, ignited a spark of fighting spirit within him.

Under normal circumstances, an ordinary fourth-level Dawn Wizard couldn't achieve this.

"Boom!"

A pillar of molten lava and flames intertwined rose abruptly beneath Ronan's feet.

Ronan's figure floated backward like a leaf in late autumn, narrowly avoiding the surprise attack of the molten lava pillar.

Without giving him any chance to catch his breath, after the first pillar, a second one immediately rose from the ground.

Then a third, a fourth—one after another, the molten lava pillars rose in sequence, carrying a terrifying heat capable of charring and distorting space, relentlessly pursuing Ronan's figure.

The sleeves of Ronan's Wizard Robe fluttered as he continuously dodged the scorching molten lava pillars, supported by his mental detection and combat instincts, like a black butterfly that had mistakenly entered a lava inferno, dancing on the edge of life and death.

His body slightly lowered, he circled around while engaging with the fire wizard, calmly spreading his hands to both sides.

His fingers trembled rapidly, and some shimmering white ice shavings fell from his long, pale fingers, resembling the dust left behind by this desperate black butterfly along its path.

Each strand of ice shavings that left Ronan's fingers condensed into an ice spell in the void, then, empowered by the [Multiple Mirror Image], multiplied from one to many.

Yet, they were not released but instead orbited Ronan's body like icy blue planets.

The aura of the law domain layered upon itself, and the number of ice spells accumulated around Ronan grew increasingly dense.

Upon reaching a certain peak, Ronan's dodging figure suddenly halted, and he turned to face the distant fire wizard who was continuously casting spells.

The latter reacted swiftly, almost instantly seizing this perfect opportunity, and with a wave of his magma-forged staff, a vast sea of molten lava trembled violently.

From within the sea of fire, countless crimson lava serpents swiftly darted out, biting towards Ronan at the center from all directions.

In an instant, even the void was completely distorted and transformed into a fiery red hue.

Yet, Ronan seemed to not notice any of this, his expression still calm.

A flicker passed through his eyes as he brought his hands together in front of his chest, and an overwhelmingly suppressed terrifying aura suddenly erupted.

"Boom—"

The previously accumulated, densely packed ice spells arranged themselves into three icy rings, suddenly expanding outward.

In an instant, an almost endless surge of icy cold energy erupted, with hues of ice blue and snow white overwhelming everything, freezing all traces of fiery red! An ancient snow kingdom rose majestically from this vast expanse of cold air!

"[Winter Mirror]!"

At the moment the snow kingdom took shape and the cold energy reached its peak, Ronan clasped his hands together in a seal, and within the depths of his deep blue eyes, intricate silver runes flashed.

In that fleeting moment.

This once scorching realm, where all flickering flames had risen, now stood still, as if the space had turned into a silver mirror.

Ronan walked out from the encirclement of countless frozen fire serpents, his black robe and white hair fluttering simultaneously, with a faint frost swirling around him. He strolled alone within this breathtakingly beautiful mirror of ice and fire.

However, this absolute stillness did not last long. The powerful mental energy of the fourth-level Dawn Wizard, like a trapped beast, continuously shook this solidified domain.

"Crack—"

A long, narrow crack abruptly appeared on the silver mirror of space, causing Ronan's steps to pause slightly.

Soon, he continued walking forward.

"Crack, crack, crack—"

The sound of the [Winter Mirror] shattering grew increasingly dense. When the cracks accumulated to a certain extent, Ronan lightly flicked his sleeve, decisively shattering the [Winter Mirror] completely.

Secret Technique—[Shattered Winter Mirror]! In an instant, the exquisitely beautiful silver mirror of space shattered into countless pieces, each carrying the intertwined colors of ice and fire. From the edges of each fragment, a powerful force of spatial collapse and severance surged forth.

Amidst the chaotic currents of countless spatial annihilations, the fourth-level Dawn fire wizard opponent loudly chanted a new spell incantation, and the sea of magma beneath him began to stir once more.

As the shadow of a colossal creature formed from countless flames was about to rise from the sea of fire, Ronan narrowed his eyes and raised his right hand.

All the chaotic spatial and ice currents roaming in this void, along with the impending collapse of the "snow kingdom ruins," rapidly converged toward the palm of his right hand.

A murky ice-blue light emerged from Ronan's hand. Before it could grow, Ronan flicked it forward with his finger.

"Whoosh—"

The rapidly converging spatial and ice energy took on the shape of snowflakes in mid-air, each corner of the snowflakes seemingly reflecting the image of an ancient snow kingdom collapsing.

As the drifting "snowflakes" approached the fourth-level Dawn fire wizard, the terrifying power contained within them could no longer be suppressed. They transformed into an indescribable torrent of dreadful magic, "Boom—" engulfing the fourth-level Dawn fire wizard, who had just completed a spell summoning, along with the entire fiery domain behind him.

As all the commotion gradually subsided, a strange sight appeared within the unbearably hot fiery realm—magma and icy rivers coexisted, with snowflakes falling from the sky and flickering flames dancing together.

Ronan slowly stepped into this realm of intertwined ice and fire, casually catching a snowflake in his hand and examining it.

A look of joy flickered in his eyes as he murmured to himself.

"If it weren't for this trial that tests pure spellcasting ability, I wouldn't have known that the [Ancient Star Meditation Technique] has elevated my control and finesse over spells to such a level..."

After the [Shattered Winter Mirror] seamlessly transitioned into [Palm Snow Country], Ronan compressed the collapsing snow country and a portion of the spatial shattering force into a thin, delicate snowflake. In the past, Ronan wouldn't have even imagined such a feat, let alone accomplished it.

"This move..."

Ronan gently flicked the snowflake in his palm and, after some thought, decided, "Let's call it—[Annihilating Winter: Flicked Snow Country]."

The name was casually chosen and not entirely accurate.

Mainly, it sparked numerous new inspirations for Ronan regarding the [Snow Country] system of ice spells. If he could fully utilize the terrifying spell control brought by the [Ancient Star Meditation Technique], the upper limit of his ice spell power could be significantly enhanced once more.
