Chapter 1086 I Got Friends From High Places [Part 1]
While Maple and Cinnamon were running away from the Progenitors trying to catch them, Ethan put all of his focus into stabilizing his newfound powers.
When his Origin Magic Crystal formed and merged with his body, he suddenly felt an overwhelming boost in his strength and magic power, which resulted in the phenomenon of his soul lighting up in the Astral Realm.
He was like a star that had just been born, adding his brilliance to the universe as a whole.
This inevitably caught the attention of multiple powerful beings, several of which had become interested in this unique individual, whose powers they coveted.
However, Ethan came to the realization that he wasn't the only prey in this cosmic relationship.
He desired their power as much as they desired his. The Progenitors were also his prey, including all the other beings who wanted a piece of him. Stay updated through My Virtual Library Empire
As to who would be able to subjugate who, it was too early to tell.
Leviathan, who had already activated the defenses of Atlantis, spread his influence over his domain, which was the sea.
There was no guarantee that none of the different Progenitor Factions would brute force their way to Midgard, especially now that their Defenders in the Lands of Saraqael were currently busy fending off those who wished to get past their defenses.
Narissa, who was worried about the Golden Egg, almost screamed in surprise and fear when she finally noticed several cracks spreading slowly across the surface of the Golden Egg.
For a brief moment, she had forgotten that it was perfectly normal for cracks to appear on an egg whenever they were about to hatch.
A moment later, the golden egg disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared in front of Ethan.
As if he was in a trance, Ethan reached out to hold the egg in the palm of his hand before dropping a drop of his blood on its surface.
Suddenly, the tendril-like wings on Ethan's back wrapped around his body, forming a cocoon.
"Dress up, the two of you," Nicole said coldly, breaking Emma and Lilith out of their daze.
Baradiel had taken over the young lady's body since Nicole's state wasn't good nor stable enough to defend Ethan during his vulnerable state.
Emma and Lilith did as they were told and hurried to dress as well.
Their bodies were still weak and in pain after truly losing their maidenhood just a few minutes ago.
But now was not the time to think about other things.
Even in their weakened state, they could feel it.
Countless gazes were now locked onto Ethan's form, and some of them had malicious intent.
Illumina, Princess Wilhelmina, and Princess Ariel, who were also in the Palace, rushed to Ethan's room because they sensed a powerful fluctuation coming from that direction.
The three Mermaid Princesses had already been told about what might happen, so they didn't hesitate to rush into Ethan's room. Upon arrival, they surrounded the bed, opting for a defensive formation.
Chloe, Luna, Lilian, Joanne, Ramona, and Samantha also appeared with their wands at the ready.
They understood the dangers of coming with Ethan on this trip, and they had already prepared themselves for whatever was about to happen next.
Leviathan, who was standing at the front of the Royal Palace, narrowed his gaze as the seawater surrounding Atlantis started to churn.
"They're coming," Leviathan muttered, waving his hand to add a layer of protection to the city, which was once again about to experience a war like it had never seen before.
Above the sea, cracks started to appear in the sky as the Progenitors from another plane of existence attacked it relentlessly, rushing to break through the weave that protected the world.
Fortunately, the cracks regenerated a bit faster than they could deal damage, making it seem like someone was repeatedly hammering a glass window, which simply refused to break.
Although cracks appeared here and there, the sky would revert back to what it was.
But Leviathan understood that this was only the beginning.
However, the Progenitor of the Sea wasn't worried.
Atlantis had many tricks up its sleeve.
And that wasn't all.
Leviathan had also made connections during the time that Atlantis was wandering the world of Hestia.
Connections that he planned to use at this point in time to help.
The Teleportation gate that was a thousand meters away from the castle started to stir.
Runic symbols could be seen flashing on its surface, which made the corner of Leviathan's lips curl up into a smirk.
A purple portal appeared at the Teleportation Gate, and soon, a creature that was six meters tall emerged from it.
It was a horrifying creature that would even make the Ancient Wendigo forget to chuckle due to how vile it was.
The Devil of the Sea, Nuckelavee, whom Leviathan had fought with side by side during the war against the Army of Destruction.
It looked like a man merged at the hips of a devilish red horse, which was about to raise its front legs and neigh in defiance.
This monster was so strong that it could only be sealed away in the depths of the sea to ensure that it didn't slaughter those who lived on land.
A chuckle escaped the monster's lips as it eyed Leviathan, who smiled back at him.
It was hard to know who was stronger between the two of them, especially since Nucklavee had undergone an evolution after that great war years ago.
Nucklavee wasn't a Progenitor.
It was simply an abomination, but its powers rivaled that of a Progenitor.
Behind Nucklavee, several other monsters emerged.
A One-Eyed Demon Dog.
A Goblin Paladin.
A Minotaur with a metallic right arm, holding a battle axe.
A Giant Wolf at least twenty meters tall.
Behind them, more monsters emerged from the portal, all of them ready for battle.
While the majority of them were weaker than Progenitors, they were no strangers to the wars that could potentially destroy an entire world.
If one of them couldn't beat a Progenitor in a one-on-one battle, they would fight them in a five-to-one battle!
The only reason they came to help was due to Leviathan's request to their Master, who had agreed to send his Monster Army to help hold up the sky that was about to fall on the lands of Midgard.
Crossing through the portal was also an old man riding on top of an eight-legged horse.
He gave Leviathan a brief nod before urging his steed to go to where his two granddaughters were.
The two girls had once again snuck away from home.
Their nanny, the rainbow-colored Anteater, Kazogonaga, went to find them at their mother's request.
However, when the Anteater didn't return right away, the Old Man decided to check on them and see what kind of mischief the two girls were up to this time around.
