Chapter 1091: Clash Of Titans [Part 3]

Despite fighting against enemies a distance away from Atlantis, Leviathan paid close attention to the city, even looking relieved when Rullion's attacks failed to penetrate its defenses.

But he knew that the battle had just begun.

More powerful beings were joining the attempt to break through the sky, and that would make defending it several times harder.

The situation was no longer an ordinary invasion.

At this rate, it would be more accurate to call it a full-blown invasion.

Countless monsters of different kinds and sizes descended from the sky. Those who couldn't swim died not long after they fell, and those who didn't have strong bodies died from the impact alone, crashing into the bodies floating in the water.

The surface of the sea was now littered with corpses, making even the Ocean Races unable to fight properly as they couldn't find time to clear the bodies on the water.

The monsters that could fly hovered above the sea, actively attacked the Mermen and the other races who had come to help Ethan during this critical moment.

On top of the arrival of more monsters, was the appearance of powerful beings.

A six-armed Demon Lord with burning chains wrapped around its body descended from the sky, surrounded by his legions of shadow wraiths.

His name was Malrith, a Progenitor who belonged to a Faction that regularly attacked the Lands of Saraqael.

Behind him, a Gigantic Bird with wings large enough to darken the sky appeared.

It was the Skybreaker Roc, who belonged to the same Faction as Malrith.

It was finally able to break past the weave that protected Midgard from outside invasions.

Leviathan shifted his attention to the Skybreaker Roc, while Nuckelavee charged at the Demon Lord, Malrith, with eyes filled with the desire to battle.

Those who now possessed the powers of Progenitors clashed against each other, and those who were unlucky enough to be near their battlefield were blown away by the impact of their exchanges.

"It seems you're having a hard time, Rullion."

The four faces of Rullion glanced at the Cursed Sword, Valthar, who was hovering beside it.

It was a sword that controlled and corrupted its wielder, making them its puppet.

"Did you come to join in the fun?" Rullion sneered.

"Why not?" Valthar replied.

Although the cursed sword didn't have a face, its tone was filled with amusement as if it found many toys to play with.

"Then go," Rullion said. "And don't bother me."

"Hahaha! Uptight as ever," Valthar commented before shooting away like a comet, piercing through the bodies of the Ocean Races, who were unlucky enough to block its path.

It was headed straight to Atlantis, the color of its blade shining like a rainbow.

Valthar had many blade forms, and the rainbow-colored blade it assumed at the moment specialized in bypassing barriers.

This blade form didn't destroy barriers, only passed through them, similar to how a ghost could walk past walls.

And just like it intended, it was able to pass through the barrier of Atlantis and enter the city. A moment later, the sound of metal clashing against each other reverberated in the ancient city as the Minotaur, Erchitu, and the Goblin Paladin, Jareth, both moved to clash with the sword, preventing it from heading towards the castle of Atlantis.

"Small fries should know their place and move aside," Valthar said in contempt.

Clearly, it was looking down on the two Monsters who had blocked its path.

"Make us if you can," Erchitu stated, not caring that its enemy was more powerful than it.

Jareth also raised his sword and shield, ready to fight.

Valthar chuckled and flew, not toward the two monsters or the castle, but toward the Naga King, who had entered Atlantis with malicious intentions.

Truth be told, the Ruler of the Nagas, King Ligurian, hated Ethan for killing his son, Prince Baltic.

He merely decided to endure and rein in his anger. After all, Ethan was not only the Prince of Atlantis, but Leviathan was also backing him up.

King Ligurian knew that he was not a match against a Progenitor, so he decided to keep a low profile for the time being.

But Ethan was in a vulnerable state now. Once the enemies broke through the defenses of Atlantis, he knew that the young man was done for.

Because of this, he entered the city not to defend it, but to watch the hateful Prince fall into the enemy's hands.

However, just as he entered the city, Valthar sensed the malicious intentions in the Naga King's heart, which made the Cursed Sword decide that King Ligurian was the perfect vessel to control at this point in time.

Not only did Nagas have strong physical abilities, but they were also very violent and savage by nature-a perfect fit for a cursed sword like Valthar.

King Ligurian, who had no idea what was coming to him, suddenly found a sword floating in front of him.

For a brief moment, he felt mesmerized by it, making him fall into a trance.

"Do you wish for power?" Valthar asked in a tempting manner. "Or do you wish for revenge?"

The sword floated closer to the Naga, speaking the words King Ligurian wanted to hear.

"I can give you both and more," Valthar said seductively. "If you want, I can even make his women your slaves. All you need to do is use my power to manifest your desires."

The Naga King, who found all of these words enticing, no longer hesitated and reached out to grab the sword.

As soon as his hand touched the sword handle, a scream escaped his lips as black armor covered the entirety of his body.

"Hahaha! Perfect!" Valthar laughed. "Now, let's capture the mortal that you hate the most!"

With a blood-curdling roar, King Ligurian, who was now under the control of the cursed sword, charged forward like a juggernaut.

"Stop him!" Psoglav ordered, and the horde of monsters accompanying him in battle moved to clash against the possessed and corrupted Naga King.

"Die, fools!" King Ligurian's cold and malicious voice spread inside the City of Atlantis.

A moment later, dozens of monsters, who had come to block his path, were sliced in two, cutting a bloody path in front of him.

Erchitu and Jareth teamed up together to stop his advance, but they, too, were sent flying with

a single slash of the Naga King's sword.

"Psoglav, Plan B!" the Minotaur, Erchitu, shouted.

"Fine!" Psoglav knew that he couldn't hold back at this point in time, so he immediately

whistled and called for backup.

From within the portal, a blue baby slime emerged, followed by a golden baby slime.

The two slimes looked at the possessed Naga King and sized him up.

A moment later, the blue baby slime jumped high up in the air, flying straight toward the Naga King, who was already halfway to the castle of Atlantis.

Summoning a bomb in her hand, the baby slime threw it at the monster without a hint of fear

in her innocent gaze.

When her bomb was only three meters away from the enemy, the Naga King sliced it in half in

a heartbeat.

It was at that moment Valthar and King Ligurian heard the baby slime speak to them.

"F*cker."

A second later, a loud explosion rocked the city of Atlantis, and the rampaging Naga King was blown to the other end of the city, making Rullion, who was observing the battle from the sky, look at the baby slime in disbelief.
