Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Qian Renxue's Frustration

Qian Renxue looked at Bibidong, her heart wrestling with emotions for a long time. The word "mother" just couldn't escape her lips.

"Your Holiness?" Bibidong's heart skipped a beat, a flash of anger crossing her eyes. "Good, remember this, from today onwards, you will address me as such."

After saying this, Bibidong felt a twinge of regret, but her usual stern demeanor didn't allow her to show any sign of retreat.

"Heh, fine! Your Holiness!"

Qian Renxue looked at the woman before her, her icy expression barely holding. "May I ask why Your Holiness has stopped me?"

But recalling Bibidong's disdain for her since childhood, and the words that she shouldn't have been born into this world, Qian Renxue's heart, already sad, turned cold again.

She had been hesitating whether to discuss matters concerning the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School with Bibidong. But now that they were face to face, she felt there was no need to talk anymore.

"I heard you've been getting close to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School recently?" Bibidong sighed. "Ning Fengzhi is a man of deep schemes, be careful they might be using you."

"Do you really think so little of me?" Qian Renxue's eyes turned cold. "What, you can win over the lower four sects, but I can't win over the upper three? Aren't the people you've won over also using you?"

"And thanks to you, I've learned a lot over the years in the Heavenly Dou royal family. I understand the exchange of interests in power struggles."

Bibidong's expression changed, gripping her scepter tightly and thumping it on the ground. "Hmph! Do you think the little you've learned can handle an old fox like Ning Fengzhi?"

"Then let's wait and see."

Qian Renxue gave a cold laugh, about to turn and leave, when she suddenly remembered something. "I haven't been back these past few years, but I heard you've taken a disciple and formed some so-called Golden Generation of the Spirit Hall?"

"How laughable, without me, what Golden Generation are they? They probably can't even compare to my Junior Brother."

Thinking of these people, Qian Renxue felt a chill in her heart, not understanding why Bibidong treated outsiders better than her.

Bibidong looked at Qian Renxue, momentarily at a loss for words.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School has agreed to join the Spirit Hall, on the condition that Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo are handed over to settle their grievances with Poison Douluo." Qian Renxue said, turning to leave.

"If you can get your grandfather to agree, I have no objections."

Bibidong gave Qian Renxue a deep look, sighed, and slowly turned her back to her. "But if he doesn't agree, you better go back to Heavenly Dou and do your job."

Qian Renxue crossed her arms, listening to Bibidong's fading footsteps, feeling a deep sense of defeat. "Why..."

She hadn't expected her return to be so unsuccessful. Even her grandfather, who had always loved her since childhood, was no longer helping her.

Qian Renxue looked around the familiar yet unfamiliar Spirit Hall, suddenly realizing that without her grandfather's help, she could achieve nothing.

Feeling disheartened, she walked out.

Then Qian Renxue thought of something awkward.

She had promised Li Xun that as long as he proved his worth, she would hand over Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to him. Although he hadn't set the condition in stone, she had firmly agreed.

"Father, what should I do?" Qian Renxue was so ashamed and angry that she wished she could die. She looked up at the sky, trying to hold back her tears.

A few days later, at the residence of Crown Prince Xue Qinghe in the Heaven Dou Empire.

Qian Renxue, who usually carried an air of pride and authority in front of others, was pacing back and forth in her room.

She had been back for several days but still couldn't bring herself to renegotiate terms with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School.

Knock, knock, knock—

A series of knocks sounded at the door.

"Xiaoxue, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School has sent a message. They are expected to arrive at the Branch Hall by noon," Serpent Spear Douluo pushed the door open and looked at Qian Renxue, who was sitting upright in her chair. "When do you plan to leave?"

"I'll go now," Qian Renxue glanced at the sun outside the door, sighed softly, and stood up to leave.

What was coming would come eventually. No matter how much she didn't want to face it, she couldn't avoid it.

Along the way, Qian Renxue kept mentally preparing herself, and it wasn't until she reached the entrance of the Spirit Hall that she felt slightly better.

She walked through the corridor, pushed open the door, and entered the room where she usually stayed. As soon as she stepped in, she saw Li Xun and Sword Douluo sitting at her table, leisurely sipping tea.

"Good morning, Brother Li Xun," Qian Renxue forced a smile.

"Morning," Li Xun stood up, giving Qian Renxue a strange look, then glanced out the window with the corner of his eye. It was already high noon—still morning?

"Sister Xue, what brings you to me this time?" Li Xun asked with a smile as Qian Renxue sat down with a serious expression. "Has there been a hiccup in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School's decision to join the Spirit Hall?"

"..."

"There have indeed been some unexpected developments," Qian Renxue hesitated. "Brother Li Xun, I'm really sorry. Could you change your condition?"

After saying this, Qian Renxue felt her cheeks flush slightly. Her credibility as the Young Master of the Spirit Hall must have plummeted in Li Xun's eyes.

"It's alright, Sister Xue. Actually, Teacher and I had anticipated this situation."

Seeing Qian Renxue's red face, Li Xun laughed heartily. "When I brought it up before, it was just to test your sincerity."

"Honestly, Sister Xue, I was quite surprised when you agreed so readily back then."

Li Xun smiled as he poured a cup of tea for Qian Renxue. "I was even worried about what I would do if you really sent Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo over."

He wasn't as naive as Qian Renxue. He had only wanted to test how much weight they held in her eyes and to raise their value. But he hadn't expected to uncover Qian Renxue's true situation so easily.

Given the current circumstances, it seemed likely that Qian Renxue wouldn't be able to fulfill her promise to Tang San either.

Thinking about it, it made sense.

A force aiming to dominate the continent wasn't playing house. How could they let a child do whatever they wanted?

Seeing that Li Xun was so easy to talk to and didn't express any dissatisfaction or mockery, the gloom in Qian Renxue's heart dissipated somewhat. Her admiration for Li Xun deepened.

"Brother Li Xun, if you have any other conditions, you can bring them up now. As long as I can fulfill them..."

Qian Renxue trailed off awkwardly, unsure of what words to use to make her statement more credible.

Li Xun picked up the teacup on the table, took a sip, and used it to shield his gaze.

Although the plan to weaken Bibidong's faction had failed, it should have made Qian Renxue realize her current situation, which was a good thing. No matter how the Spirit Hall reacted, Li Xun wouldn't lose out.

Li Xun stared intently at Qian Renxue: "Sister Xue, how many Titled Douluos can you mobilize now?"

"..."

Qian Renxue was momentarily stunned, feeling somewhat uneasy. She glanced subtly at the Serpent Spear Douluo standing to the side: "Two... two, I think? Why do you ask?"

She wasn't entirely sure if she could still summon people from the Elders Hall.
