{Chapter: 320 X Serum}
What William had done at the United Nations General Assembly—broadcast live across the globe by the White Queen—shocked the world to its core. The aftermath was a tidal wave of chaos and commentary. Every news network, talk show, and government agency exploded with debate. Streets buzzed with fear, fascination, and endless speculation.
In the wake of the broadcast, every nation convened emergency press conferences. Yet, when it came to discussing how to eliminate William, their responses were vague, stammered, and evasive. Not a single country dared to offer a concrete plan. Even the most hawkish voices hesitated.
Some of the smaller nations, knowing they lacked the military or technological strength to deal with someone like William, outright withdrew from the United Nations Army. Quietly, of course—but decisively. They could not afford to anger the monster now hovering above international politics.
Meanwhile, the leaders of larger and more powerful nations were a different story. With grim expressions, they announced that—for the sake of national security—they were postponing their plans to eliminate William. They claimed they were simply "reevaluating the strategic landscape." But the fear in their eyes told another story.
Time moved on, as it always does. Even under the shadow of a growing superpower like William, daily life limped forward. People grumbled, adapted, survived. The world didn't stop turning just because it was afraid.
---
Inside one of the most luxurious mansions in the world—filled with state-of-the-art tech, glass walls, and AI-run systems—William was lounging on an expensive leather sofa, lazily peeling a banana as if the world wasn't still on fire because of him.
"White Queen," he called, chewing slowly, "how's the research on the Hulk's cells going? Any breakthroughs?"
Across the room, White Queen's walked into view—regal, composed, and cold as ever. Her glowing blue eyes narrowed slightly.
"You want to see the results?" she asked, already knowing the answer. "Very well. Allow me to enlighten your pea-sized mortal brain."
Her eyes shimmered green, and a glowing 3D holographic projection emerged in midair. Ten digital white mice rotated gently in place, their bodies twitching with coded realism.
William squinted at them and tilted his head. "You brought me here to watch a bunch of mice? What is this, 'Tom and Jerry'? Should I be waiting for a cartoon cat to jump out?"
White Queen sighed, thoroughly unamused. ""Will you die if you talk later? Read it first before you comment? Honestly, do you ever take anything seriously?"
She gestured toward the projection. "These are test subjects. Genetically identical white mice. Now, we simulate an injection of the synthesized serum derived from the Hulk's mutated cells—codenamed X serum. Observe carefully."
William grinned. "X serum? That's so... uncreative. Might as well call it 'Project Overdone.'"
White Queen's tone became sharper. "And what would you name it, Your Ego-ness?"
He puffed up theatrically. "Obviously, we call it the 'William Serum.' Has a nice ring to it. Powerful, intimidating, unforgettable. 'He took the William Serum and shattered a tank!' See? Instant branding."
Ada, who had been seated nearby cleaning her pistol with robotic precision, raised an eyebrow and glanced at Alice. "He's naming deadly science projects after himself now? That's a new level of narcissism."
Alice, typing rapidly into an internet portable terminal, didn't even look up. "Honestly, I'm shocked it took him this long."
William turned to them, feigning injury. "You two wound me. Don't you see the genius of it?"
Ada gave him a deadpan look. "William Serum sounds like something you'd find in a discount superhero aisle."
Alice chuckled softly. "At least 'X serum' implies mystery. Potential. The power of the unknown. That's what the world fears."
White Queen folded her arms, clearly pleased by the support. "See? Finally, some intelligent input. Thank you, Alice."
William groaned dramatically. "All of you are ganging up on me. I feel bullied."
He turned suddenly and flopped against Ada, burying his face into her chest like a spoiled brat. "I'm not playing anymore. My feelings are shattered beyond repair."
Ada snorted and pushed him off gently, but not without a smirk. "You're impossible."
White Queen rolled her eyes and cleared her throat. "Enough drama. Focus."
She snapped her fingers, and the holographic display zoomed in. "Now, initiating the injection. Target: Subject 7."
The virtual needle pierced the small digital mouse. Moments later, Mouse No. 7 began to tremble violently. It shrieked in its high-pitched rodent voice, limbs twitching uncontrollably. Its body began to swell—muscles bulging unnaturally beneath fur and skin.
"Look at that," White Queen narrated with interest. "Tissue regeneration rates spiking. Neural activity doubling. And body mass… tripling. All within sixty seconds."
William leaned forward, the banana forgotten. "Damn. That thing's juicing harder than a professional bodybuilder before a championship."
Ada watched carefully, arms crossed. "The transformation is fast—but the pain response is intense. That's going to be a problem for human subjects."
Alice was already analyzing data. "Cognitive feedback loops are failing. It's losing higher brain function with the change. We'll need a stabilizer."
White Queen nodded. "Agreed. The serum works, but we're still dancing on the edge of turning people into raging beasts."
William leaned back, eyes shining with anticipation. "So we're close, huh? One step away from real super soldiers?"
"No," White Queen said coolly. "We're one step away from accidentally creating monsters. Let's not forget that."
William just grinned wider, the corner of his mouth twitching with amusement.
"Monsters... heroes... it all depends on how you market it," he said coolly, leaning back his head pressed against the soft big breasts of Ada, as the group continued to watch the simulation of Mouse No. 7's transformation unfold.
On the projection screen, the tiny mouse's body began to swell rapidly, muscles bulging unnaturally as its cries turned from squeaks into ragged screeches of agony. It convulsed violently, trembling all over.
Then, without warning—boom!
Mouse No. 7 exploded into a cloud of gore and tissue fragments, splattering across the projected enclosure.
White Queen frowned and crossed her arms, looking uncharacteristically sheepish. "That was an accident. The dosage of the serum injection wasn't properly regulated," she muttered, brushing a loose strand of silver hair behind her ear. "This won't happen again. I've already adjusted the algorithm."
Alice gave a soft chuckle and leaned against the wall, her arms crossed over her tactical vest. "Failure is part of the process. No one gets it right the first time. Let's keep going."
Ada lounged gracefully on the velvet sofa, her posture regal yet teasing. Her slender fingers moved in slow, affectionate circles through William's hair, gently massaging his scalp as his head rested snugly between the warm softness of her breasts. A breathy sigh escaped him, lost in her scent, utterly indulging in his wife's intimate pampering. Ada's lips curled into a smirk, knowing smile. "Besides... it's more entertaining this way."
"Since No. 7 turned into meat paste, let's try Mouse No. 3 instead," William said casually. "Run the simulation again. Let's see what little miracles come from mayhem."
White Queen's eyes glowed faintly green as data began to flicker around her irises, projecting a new scene. "Injecting X Serum into specimen No. 3 now."
A moment after the serum entered Mouse No. 3's bloodstream, its body began to twitch violently. It rolled across the simulated floor, squealing in distress. Then the transformation began—its muscles tore, reformed, and expanded. Bones cracked, skin stretched, and fur bristled.
Within seconds, Mouse No. 3 had grown to nearly three times its original size and now stood upright on two hind legs like some kind of primitive rodent beast. Its bloodshot eyes scanned the surroundings with rabid intensity.
"Squeak! Squeak!" it snarled, fangs exposed.
In a flash, the mutated rodent lunged at Mouse No. 1, which tried to flee but was quickly overtaken. The mutant slammed into it, pinning it down, then tore off its head with one vicious bite.
What followed was pure carnage.
One by one, the remaining mice tried to escape, but none stood a chance. The mutated Mouse No. 3 slaughtered every single one with brutal efficiency until it stood alone in the enclosure—blood-soaked and twitching.
"Squeak… squeak!" it shrieked like a victor on a battlefield.
Ada frowned, arms tightening around William's heaf. "It gained tremendous strength, but lost all rationality. That thing's a berserker."
White Queen nodded solemnly. "A common side effect. These are still base animals—we can't expect cognitive control. The strength, however… is undeniable. These creatures can even overpower predators several times their size."
To prove the point, a new simulation emerged: a sleek black cat appeared in the projection chamber. As soon as it noticed Mouse No. 3, the cat pounced.
But the mutant didn't flinch.
It met the feline mid-air, clinging to its back and biting into its shoulder. The cat howled in agony, writhing as it tried to shake the mutant off. Blood sprayed in arcs across the projection. The fight was savage—raw instincts on both sides. In the end, Mouse No. 3 ripped out the cat's throat and stood victorious again.
"...Incredible," Ada whispered.
Alice's eyes narrowed. "But look at it. Its body's unstable."
White Queen exhaled. "Correct. Despite its victory, its cells are collapsing. The serum pushed the host beyond what its biological structure can handle."
Even as she spoke, the mutant rat began to shudder violently. It let out a warped, tortured cry, then exploded just like the first one, reduced to chunks of burning meat in the simulation.
White Queen stepped forward, her tone calm and matter-of-fact despite the gore. "This is still a projection model, but it's based on over a billion predictive scenarios. I've run calculations on every cell, every molecular response. This simulation reflects the most statistically probable outcome. I've cherry-picked from billions of possibilities."
"Well, I appreciate the effort." William reached over and grabbed a banana, peeling it smoothly. With a grin, he held it up toward her. "Here, for all your hard work. Come on, D@ddy's treating you to a banana."
White Queen's eyes narrowed with suspicion, stepping back slightly, hands on her hips. "What's the catch? Did you lace it with something? Arsenic? Love potion?"
William widened his eyes mock-innocently. "You wound me! Would I ever do something so devious to you?" He gave her a look so fake even Ada burst out laughing. "It's just potassium and love."
Alice let out an amused sigh, brushing a lock of hair from her cheek. "You're hopeless. You have this villainous charm that somehow makes everything sound indecent."
White Queen suddenly snatched the banana from his hand, narrowed her eyes, and in one fluid motion stuffed it right into William's mouth.
"Eat it. All of it. Let's see if it tastes as smug as you sound," she said coldly, but the smirk playing at her lips betrayed her amusement.
William, cheeks puffed full of banana, could only mumble.
Ada chuckled and leaned back again. "That's the problem with giving you attention. You think it's permission."
