Chapter 90: CH: 90 Meeting New People
[Chapter: 90 Meeting New Peoples]
Jill frowned slightly. The look the man was giving her was too weird for some reason. She really wanted to smash him for the way he was staring at her.
William looked Jill up and down. Yep, she is even more beautiful in person than when I was watching her on screen, and those legs are damn good. She is a damn fine lady!
I can't wait to see Ada, William mused, his thoughts swirling with anticipation. Just imagining how stunning she must look—arguably the most alluring and captivating beauty in this entire world, even outshining Alice, he thought, his gaze lingering momentarily on Jill Valentine.

On the stage above the entrance, a man in a suit said to the armed men next to him, "It's here. It has spread here. Hurry, close the door."
"Sir?"
"Close the door. Close it right now," the man repeated.
"But sir, our people are still—"
"This is an order."
"Yes, sir."
The thick steel gates quickly closed, and no one could enter again.
"They are closing the door! Hey, open the door and let us in!" The people were panicking, and the area became noisy.
"This area has become a biochemical quarantine zone. Because of the danger of infection, you cannot leave here," the man said through a loudspeaker.
"What's going on?" cried a woman with a camera in her hand. She was the anchor Terry Morras, the one William had seen on the screen earlier that day.
"We are taking all appropriate measures, and the situation is under control. Please go home."
The angry people shouted, "What the heck are you saying?!"
"Open the door!"
Swiss!
With a single gunshot, all the people became quiet.
"I'll give you five seconds to get away from here," said the man.
"You are authorized to use weapons. Five... four..."
Jill looked at all this coldly, and when it got to one, she yelled, "Hurry up, leave here!"
Peyton was also yelling, "Hurry up!"
Bang! Bang!
The sound of machine gun fire continued, and people ran frantically.
"Ah!" Among the people running, some fell down, and Terry, who was wearing a skirt, was one of them.
"Get up!" A hand pulled her up.
"My camera!" Terry called out.
"I've got it. Let's go quickly."
Terry grabbed the man's hand, and he pulled her, running quickly.
"Thank you. My name is Terry Morras," Terry called.
"My name is William," William said while Jill was holding Peyton.
William pulled Terry quickly and ran over. "This way."
Jill looked at William. This was the man who had shot the gun earlier. Jill didn't say anything and followed William.
The four ran to a sparsely populated place with a cathedral in front of them.
"Let's go and find a place to hide temporarily," William said in a hurry, his expression still a little panicky. He had to say, he acted the same as an ordinary person would in panic.
"Uh-huh," Terry nodded hastily.
Jill glanced at William. "Your marksmanship is accurate."
"I'm a hunter, so I've practiced," William said.
The group slowly opened the church door and walked in carefully. Peyton looked around cautiously, holding his gun.
William glanced at Peyton. He always felt Peyton was a bit redundant—how could there be another man here other than him? But on the other hand, Peyton wouldn't live long. After all, his leg had been bitten by a zombie.
"You guys get out! This is my hiding spot!" A man with a gun suddenly rushed out, pointing his weapon at the four of them. William grew excited at the sight.
"This place is big enough, so we can all stay here," Terry immediately said.
"I don't care!" the man snapped.
"Calm down. Put the gun down. Put it down," Peyton said.
The man looked at the four of them and slowly lowered his gun, probably realizing he couldn't win against all of them at once.
"Well, it's time to rest. How about this? Why don't we get to know each other so we know what we're good at," William said with a smile, though his eyes were on Jill's chest. Close observation made it feel different.
"Take another look, and I'll shoot you in the eyes," Jill said, pointing her gun at William.
William smiled wryly. "Alright, no need to shoot."
Jill slowly put her gun away. "Just keep your eyes where they should be."
Jill took out a cigarette, put it in her mouth, lit it, and slowly exhaled a puff of smoke.
"You have a cigarette? Why didn't you say so earlier? I haven't smoked for a long time, and I really need one," William said, reaching out and taking the cigarette from Jill's hand, quickly taking a big puff.
"You—!"
"Do you want to keep smoking? I can give it back," William said, passing the cigarette back to Jill.
Jill took a deep breath. "Take it." Damn, if it was in the past, seeing such a guy, I would have punched him. But now, in this kind of situation... forget it.
Terry held a camera and filmed Jill. "So, what do the police in Raccoon City think about these monsters?"
"What are you doing?" Peyton asked.
"My camera. I'm recording. It would be useful in case some of us survive." Suddenly, Terry's face changed as she seemed to see something flash through the lens.
The others felt it too because a cold wind passed by, though not enough for them to see it.
"Wooo..." A low cry came from deep within the church.
The expressions of Jill, Terry, Peyton, and the other man tightened. A tense atmosphere enveloped them instantly.
