First of all, thank you for reading You Will Be Blessed If You Do Good Deeds all the way to the end.
Honestly, at first, I didn’t think this work would get published, but somehow I was given a great opportunity on RIDI, allowing me to write it through to completion.
It’s all thanks to you, the readers.

This work was written during a personally difficult time for me, when I was exposed to a lot of troubling news.
Because of that, both the protagonist and the story’s flow ended up quite different from my previous works, so some readers might have been surprised.
To be honest, when I first planned this story, I struggled a bit with the character of Jeong Da-on, the protagonist.

Since the protagonist needed to question the premise of this work’s title, You Will Be Blessed If You Do Good Deeds, he inevitably had to be a somewhat cynical person.
Jeong Da-on is a character who constantly questions whether the world is truly a place where good deeds are rewarded, or whether it is a world worth doing good deeds in.
He’s not particularly righteous himself, and having experienced significant failures, he keeps raising these doubts.

But that doesn’t mean he’s a complete villain — when he sees a good person following a path he himself failed at, he secretly feels glad. His true nature is more revealed through actions than words.
So, although he is the strongest character in the story, this contradiction forces him into continuous inner conflict.
Of course, after the main journey, Jeong Da-on ends up trusting the world once more and wishes for a world like the title suggests.

I believe that is the ending Jeong Da-on himself most wanted.
I imagine many of you readers are facing hardships or moments when the world feels unbearable.
