Alice, Bronsen, Cassy and Drayden were your typical isolated misfits at their high school. And then they found each other. Life became so much better. Only, there was one tiny little problem. None of them could make up their mind as to which opposite-sex partner they preferred the most. They were in a perfectly balanced love square. This intensely irritates them, especially since they all had sufficient intelligence to realize that trying for a four-way romance would end in complete disaster.  So they did the sensible thing and started talking to each other and exploring their options. Who knows, presumably, they would have eventually worked out who liked whom the most, and they could have started on their first relationships. Unfortunately… Bus-kun had other ideas. Not to mention System-san. The Misfits managed to save all of the children. But they weren’t able to save themselves.  This was decidedly a bit of a bummer. However, looking at the bright side, they were isekai’d to a new world. Unfortunately… They were due to face various ‘difficulties’ in this new world. And also to find out that the heroes always die. But, at least, they will obtain their desired perfectly balanced four-way love affair. Some notes: The story is approximately 240 thousand words long. It is fully written and proofread (by Grammarly; no live editor touched this). I will publish it at roughly a thousand words per day. Since the individual chapters vary in length, sometimes there will be multiple chapters per day and other times there will be only one chapter every two or three days. To start the story off, I’m publishing the first chapters at a more rapid pace. These see our main characters all the way to the point of being isekai’d. After that,  the pace will slow down. The Misfits interact with the System all the time; however, no blue boxes are ever displayed in the novel. What is important is the Misfits' relationships with each other and other people, not the numbers going up. The Misfits will be getting up to a lot of sex after they start their relationships. However, there is no explicit sexuality. It is all implicit and off-screen. Some of the people they meet in their new world will have rape backstories. These are also never explicitly described and never from the rapist’s point of view. I used no AI-generated content in this story, although I did use Grammarly's AI assistance to correct my spelling and grammar; I generated every sentence myself.
