Accepting him

LILA

Lila comes from ordinary family being the last born of three sibling she doesn't feel she is the last born because her father and mother always treated her and her sister leah the same although her sister she is socially active while her she is introvert.

While her is brother miles is raised by her grandmother of her father's side with her cousin her parents had accepted her brother to stay at her grandmas because her cousin mother had passed away when she was baby and they don't know whereabouts of her father so they accepted.

Lila and leah have age gap of one year their relatives always calls then twins because they look alike although leah is brown skin and like has a dark skin almost same height and they are always together they attended same elementary school and high school but they attended different colleges.

Lila's father benson has a license of architecture but his pride and ego wouldn't let him work in construction site so all he does now is land survey or a broker and when he get money first thing he does is to drink and the remaining money he send to his mother and her brothers leaving her mother Hela to work all kind of jobs to buy food and high school shopping for her and her sister they were in a boarding school while her brother miles was in a day school also their school fees needed to be paid so her mom had to work and she had taken loans even though her father had inherited a big potion of land he sold it and used all the money to drinking with his friends and brothers.

The drinking had left lila depressed from elementary school because when her father drunk he would call her and leah for hours even when they are asleep only to ask them if they had eaten and this would lead to a fight with her mother and she would end up sleeping to a couch and lila would end crying all night although she knows her father wouldn't remember anything in the morning.

Lila would wake up the next morning not talking and her father would her mother what she had done to her and they start to blame each other so lila has no choice but to talk to stop the argument.

Lila remembered when they were young there parents always fight though all their fights never gotten serious apart from one time at night they started arguing and the next thing they know they are pushing each lila and her didn't understand what happened what started the fight they were told go to sleep but lila couldn't because she could hear her mother crying.

Before dawn her mother had woken them and told them take bath after finishing taking their mother had already taken out their heavy clothes to wear because it was chilly amd she had already packed their clothes her mom took a bath quickly and dressed and got out the house lila was scared of darkness she had no choice but hold her mother's had and the other hand her sister and they were gone before her father had woken up.

After what felt like eternity to lila they reached to their uncle her fathers brother who took them to their paternal grandmother who had woken up lila didn't know her mother didn't come with she had thought he was right behind them because the road to her grandmas had many trees so she didn't think much when them reached she heard the uncle telling grandma that her mom had gone to her parents house lila was devastated because this was the first time she will be without her mother.

Her grandma prepared breakfast for them but she couldn't eat food because she was thinking about her mother was she okay because she didn't talk through out their journey to her uncle even their she didnt talk

She told her grandma she will eat later she was sleepy her grandma took her to room sleep.

Lila slept like two hours she was woken by two whispering she looked at the watch it was already noon she listened to the whispers and by their voice she knew it their father and grandma.

Her grandma asked her father what happened and he told his mother how he was drunk and angry how our mother talked back at him and he snapped and pushed her his mother scolded him lila didn't have the energy to listen anymore so she covered herself with a duvet and drift back to slept.

When she wake up her sister leah was shaking her to wake because she had slept for a long time without eating she woke up she heard her father great she was still in a daze so she created him back and left to look for her grandma because she was hungry she opened her eye fully awake when she heard her second uncle asked her if she was okay that when she looked around and three of her uncles where in the sitting room and she didn't great them.

She told him was okay and greated the rest of the uncles and apologized to them because in her culture she was supposed to great the elders she told them she was half asleep so she didn't see them and them excused herself to look for her sister to asked her why she didn't tell her they had guest and she found her with their cousins she didn't want to know what they were talking about she asked her why she didn't tell her about the guest her sister leah just looked at her and laughed which pisses her off and left from and decided to climb a tree find perfect place on the tree branches and sat comfortably.

She could hear her sister calling her she didn't respond to her she wanted punish her for laughing at her.
